The room was nice. The property was basic. The pool area was so crowded. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to use the pool. This made for a very crowded pool area and many people there just to drink.

Overall a good experience, though a few things could be improved- Listing allowed me book 5 people (4 adults, 1 teen) in a room that accommodated no more than 4 & staff were unable to resolve to our satisfaction. The rooms were clean (though dated) and housekeeping was great. We had a great view of the pools from balcony, which was appreciated. Overall staff was experience was so-so. A big issue..there are no lifeguards/supervision at pools or lazy river (at least that I could see- no one was enforcing safe practices)- all become BUSY- especially with small, unsupervised children. There's outside bars and walking staff to order drinks from. Parents are drinking, many are not watching their kids. For the safety & enjoyment for all, there needs to be proper lifeguards. Our family ended up leaving the lazy river (as did most other adults and older teens) as it became too chaotic- kids jumping in/out from sides, kicking/splashing, aggressive play, throwing footballs, stacking tubes & was far too busy. We did still have some very enjoyable moments in the lazy river and adult pool. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Finally, the food from the restaurants are desperately lacking- I wouldn't even bother- there are far better local options. While it wasn't all bad, I'm not sure we'd return- for what we received, it was quite pricey. I appreciate that they are welcoming to families and all ages, but we might be looking for a more relaxing, adult driven resort.

Room was large, clean and modern. The resort was gorgeous, staff friendly and pool complex amazing. The water in the pools was perfect and the lazy river was a highlight. Dining options were numerous and pretty decent.

Hotel was a little pricey. $19 drinks that were not very good. Margaritas with no flavor. Pool area was great!!! Lazy River well worth it. Self parking should have been more reasonable. $32 per night for self parking was a lot- especially during the week when the hotel is empty! Most hotels charge less than $25 to park your own car in the heat.

The room was not vacuumed, the bathroom was very dirty around the edges, and countertops had marks on them. The dishes at the breakfast buffet (specifically the glass cups for the yogurt) were all dirty or stained or had marks on them. The food at the breakfast buffet was horrible - one chef making scrambled eggs with a long line, food in the buffet dishes looked like sludge, and the options were sad. For the price we paid, I was quite unimpressed by the attention to detail. I also felt bad for the staff as it appeared they were understaffed everywhere. It took them almost an hour to get a toothbrush delivered to our room.

Overall a decent resort for the family. For the price we paid for a one bedroom villa we did expect the villa to be cleaner. There was dog hair all over the floors , carpet and couches. That was pretty disgusting. They are a dog friendly resort but they should let their guests know if there is rooms available that don’t accommodate pets. I have little ones so the crawling on the floor full of pet hair was disgusting. The villa had a small private spa outside that was full of leaves and other debris. Like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. And the outside patio was also pretty dirty. The pool area and kids slide area was also pretty dirty. Mud and trash everywhere. I think for the price you pay you expect a little more cleanliness. The resort definitely needs more upkeep than what they are giving it. Specially the water park and pool area. The inside was nice, the lobby and the two restaurants and snack shop were very nice. No complain. The food was great.

Decided on this location for a family trip with the kids and it did not disappoint - my kids had the time of their lives! Us adults also enjoyed our time. The hotel itself is beautiful. I really appreciated the attention to details throughout, and even noticed the attentiveness of the staff to maintain and keep everything clean and neat. The room was a wonderful size, with perfect for a family. The bathroom was large with a shower and tub, there was a fridge and mini bar, and also a balcony. The icing on the cake was the automated lights under the bed that would come on as you walk by….a thoughtful touch. I love all of the pool options available, for children and adults. The lazy river is wonderful….we literally spent a whole day in and out of there. They also have a nice water slide. The food and drinks by the pool were delicious! We ate a one restaurant inside the hotel (Carmocha), and honestly….it was ok. Nothing to brag about. The fried chicken was the best thing in my opinion, LOL. Would def recommend this hotel for family trips and would definitely stay here again. 5/5

It was busy. Very overstimulating to be at the pool. Our room had dust all along the coffee nook shelves. Paint was peeling in the bathroom. So many dirty room service trays in the hallways. For the money we paid didn’t seem like we got what we paid for. I definitely would make it a point to not stay here again,.

All the resort fees are ridiculous especially the 4% surcharge on food and $30 per day parking. Outside of the property looks great but rooms are mediocre for the price. Paid for a King bed but got size Queen. Cheap looking furniture and decor. Pools are smaller than photos, crowded and dirty (murky water). Best thing about the property is the friendly and helpful staff.

Not enough staff in pool area to clean up. We stayed three days and by 1pm each day there was trash and debris in the pool. It was disgusting. Staff also didn’t monitor the unused lounge chairs and therefore people couldn’t find shade when they arrived to the pools in the afternoon. Additionally, this property needs more service in pool area. We were not asked one time over our three day stay if we wanted to order food and drinks. Room was spacious, balcony and restrooms were nice. Not enough light in the room and the restroom had cracks in the plaster on the walls. Beautiful resort and great amenities. Spa service was excellent. Restaurant on site was delicious and had fabulous service.

We spent the weekend at the Grand Hyatt and had a wonderful time. Rooms were big and accommodated our family of 5 (king bed and sofa bed), and the bathroom was roomy as well. My only complaint is that there is no lock on the bathroom door. The pools were walking distance, and we enjoyed the pools, slides, and lazy River. There were tons of people but it was not overcrowded. All the staff was really nice. 10 min drive to lots of palm desert restaurants if you’re looking to go out. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re coming to the desert.

Beautiful room - highly recommend deluxe rooms with a view of the golf course. My only complaint was that the shower head was beyond horrible. Barely had any water pressure. Other than that, very happy with the room and my stay.

The property was well kept and convenient in general. The market has great food options for a quick meal when needed. The pool area could use some improvement. Chair saving needs addressed. I think the area could be planned better to provide more lounge chairs for guess, since we spent a while walking around looking for an open chair. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

We had a blast at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells! Our boys (ages 11 & 13) loved the watersides and lazy river, while my husband and I enjoyed escaping to the 18+ pool. We ate dinner at Carmocha, the good was great and service was good. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view of the pool. This is a perfect family getaway spot in the desert!

The bathroom door does not lock. Front desk sent maintenance but maintenance told us that he cannot fix it as all rooms were made like that. This was very inconvenient and we had to use a belt to lock bathroom door. Also the bathroom light switch was outside of the bathroom which was also an issue. Probably wont stay there again.

At 2pm check in the valet said they would hold our bags until we could get into the room. Bags were stickered and we were given a ticket. The hotel was nice, friendly staff, clean room, impressed how clean the carpet was esp for a hotel, the bed/pillows was comfy. We had a fridge in the room and requested a microwave which was nice. 4 stars instead of 5 - The hotel must’ve had a staffing shortage - we stayed for 4 nights and opted to request housekeeping as needed and the one time we requested housekeeping to clean our room, no one showed up. The property is cash-free so to get change for tips we had to get it from the front desk which always had a line and usually only had one person, maybe two people working if you were lucky so there was always a long wait. Every time we called housekeeping or the valet or the bell desk, no one answered so we always had to call the front desk for help. Room service was ridiculously overpriced, I ordered what was supposed to be a grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup for $18, first it took almost an hour, second the grilled cheese wasn’t a grilled cheese, it was a piece of cheese between two slices of bread ran briefly through a toaster oven so the bread didn’t have a grill or toast feel to it, the cheese was barely melted, the soup was out of a can and both were close to being cold. Food choices on the property was bad so we did a lot of Door Dash or going off the property. After check out we thought we left something behind so we called to inquire, was promised a call back but never received one. B/c it was so clean n nice staff we’ll come back to give it another try.

Check in was a bit hectic. The room was not ready and they told us it should be ready in 30 minutes. 40 minutes passed and the room was still not ready. They were great at acommodating us in a different room type, but it was not ideal. room with no balcony and it was in the villas section. Keep in mind that if you are in the villas, you will have to either walk to the hotel area or request a golf cart to pick you up but it can take them up to 30 minutes to have one available. Food was fantastic for dinner and brunch. Service was great. overall it was a good experience

The staff can make or break any organization and we must say that those at this property are always on point. Practically every time we seek lodging in the Coachella Valley, we select the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells. From the front desk to housekeeping, to valet, everyone was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Kudos to management for their consistency in staff training!

The valet parking service was quite disappointing. Drop-off was fine, but since there was no self-parking option, we had to use valet. When picking up the car, I inquired twice within the first 20 minutes and was told each time that the valet had already taken the keys and I just needed to wait at the front entrance. Nice, large resort with transportation to and from the Indian Wells tennis tournament in March. Perfect location for the purpose of our trip. Our room was mid century modern room with a sunken living room and patio overlooking one of the pool areas. Coffee shop was an easy way for us to get good coffee and quick breakfast every morning. Parking is an absolute rip off- only complaint. Would stay again.

Our rooms were beautiful and the pool areas were spectacular with clean bathrooms. Everything was beautiful! My only suggestion was for the front desk to have some knowledge of the area just for simple activity suggestions. Your hotel and grounds are perfection! Thank you

The property was great for families of all ages. We had teenagers and they had an awesome time! The pool staff was very attentive, even in the 115 degree temperature. On site restaurants were delicious, and location was perfect to great restaurants at the El Paseo, and super easy to get an uber to downtown Palm Springs. Can't wait for our next stay!

Amazing place , tall ceilings, ice machine nearby, laundry nearby, awesome pools, etc. however if you stay at the Villas there is no parking nearby so in result a golf cart ride is needed or a 5 minute walk is needed and when it is hot outside that is tough.

The pool walk out rooms are really nice but this place is way overpriced. The food everywhere we went was horrible and again, WAY overpriced. Very blah and so greasy. Tia Carmen restaurant was terrible and $1000 for 6 of us, no alcohol and the food was trash. Beware, they even charge you to cut a mini cake. They said $5, but it was $5 per person.

Room was large, clean and modern. The resort was gorgeous, staff friendly and pool complex amazing. The water in the pools was perfect and the lazy river was a highlight. Dining options were numerous and pretty decent.

Everything was great. The only thing that could use improvement is the dining options. The pool restaurant for lunch was great. The market was good for snacks, but I feel like more options for breakfast would be an improvement. Dinner was ok, but not amazing. There are lots of great restaurants close by though.

Decided on this location for a family trip with the kids and it did not disappoint - my kids had the time of their lives! Us adults also enjoyed our time. The hotel itself is beautiful. I really appreciated the attention to details throughout, and even noticed the attentiveness of the staff to maintain and keep everything clean and neat. The room was a wonderful size, with perfect for a family. The bathroom was large with a shower and tub, there was a fridge and mini bar, and also a balcony. The icing on the cake was the automated lights under the bed that would come on as you walk by….a thoughtful touch. I love all of the pool options available, for children and adults. The lazy river is wonderful….we literally spent a whole day in and out of there. They also have a nice water slide. The food and drinks by the pool were delicious! We ate a one restaurant inside the hotel (Carmocha), and honestly….it was ok. Nothing to brag about. The fried chicken was the best thing in my opinion, LOL. Would def recommend this hotel for family trips and would definitely stay here again. 5/5

Hotel was a little pricey. $19 drinks that were not very good. Margaritas with no flavor. Pool area was great!!! Lazy River well worth it. Self parking should have been more reasonable. $32 per night for self parking was a lot- especially during the week when the hotel is empty! Most hotels charge less than $25 to park your own car in the heat.

Terrible experience. The room smelled of offgassing plastic. Every time we returned, we had to air it out. The air conditioner was unbelievably noisy. You advertise room service, but it only happens begrudgingly and the server couldn't wait to explain things and literally dropped our tray and ran. In addition to the room, delivery charger is a service charge, but the person delivering the room Service said that was not a tip. Seemed like a rip off. The restaurants were subpar with respect to food, quality, and service. The drinks were watered down and not very good. You should invest in some bartenders who know what they're doing. The pay-per-viewmovies that we had intended on watching was unavailable in the evening when we wanted to watch them because of some technical issue. On the plus side, the valet guys were very nice. But that's not enough for us to ever consider returning. You guys get an F.

We had a wonderful stay very relaxing. We had a pool side view (a little loud but that’s to be expected being pool side) but the once the pool closes it nice and quiet. Are room was bigger than I expected and it was nice and clean and cool with the A/C. Pool side hosts are great we had a great server I want to say his name was Erick he had wonderful customer service. The restaurant was tasty Omar was a great server. My daughter who is 9 had a wonderful time in the pool and enjoyed the pool slides she had a great time and wants to return again. Room services was great we had to call it in as the QR code was not working for me when I tried to order room services we received are order in probably 30 min. We had a great time I will recommend this hotel to everyone if they are planning a trip to Indian wells/palm springs!

IF I had kids it would’ve been a great place to stay but since it was a girls trip I may have stayed at a different resort. I left some clothes there and they got them and had them sent to me. Staff was super nice and helpful!
