At La Casa Del Camino, guests highlight the steps-to-the-beach setting, walkable access to dining and shops, and a charming historic vibe, with the rooftop lounge's ocean vistas a frequent favorite, though age-related trade-offs are part of the experience.

La Casa Del Camino is a historic hotel (built in 1929) and it has plenty of character. The best feature is not the building but the staff - they really cared about us and spent the time to talk with us and to make us feel like family. The other reason to stay here is that the hotel is right above a secluded beach with beautiful rock formations that few people go to. It feels like a private island getaway. The location is near some nice cafes and restaurants, and a 15 to 20 minute walk to Main Beach and downtown. Our room had a partial ocean view. The room was clean and well decorated, we liked the style of the furnishings. Plumbing was a bit old (fixtures had significant calcium deposits, and the bathroom faucet was a bit drippy). Overall this is a pleasant place to stay if you want to spend time relaxing on the beach and exploring Laguna Beach.

Ok I definitely got the oldest and smallest room. The faucet was broken and leaking and the room was so tiny there wasn’t space for our suitcases. My bad for being cheap lol.

The restaurant downstairs was absolutely delicious. And the fact that the beach is less than a minute from you is quite amazing. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound the ocean waves is second to none. Highly recommend this hotel.
