I've stayed at this property under different names and loved it every time. It's a fantastic location, relaxing, clean and comfortable rooms and the staff are always incredibly lovely. They even brought us some frozen grapes to munch on by the pool which I thought was a really generous touch. Parking onsite is a bit crazy expensive ($60/day) but I would still stay again. Thank you Casa Loma for an amazing weekend!

Cannot beat the location! Appetizer boards were freshly, expertly and stylishly prepared. Free underground parking is a real plus. We didn’t use the pool but the rooftop terrace was lovely for sunset and after. Management went out of their way to ensure we were happy.

Enjoyed the convenience and location of this hotel. Appreciated the beach chairs, and towels, and loved that there were stairs right down to the main beach! The bar on the rooftop in the evenings was delightful. We will return!

Property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in an ocean view room and the view was awesome. My only criticism is the unusually high fees. Parking is $45 a night. Not valet… just parking. Just an fyi to those that might visit. There are resort fees but very few amenities. The pool is nice, but there is no full service bar and no onsite restaurant. Very nice place, but some unexpected sticker shock.

Good location, but that's about it. The walls were so thin that we could hear someone coughing and talking all night in the room next door. The air conditioner sounded like a jet engine when it came on so it frequently woke us up. The shower door seal was broken so got water all over the floor whenever you used it. Also charged a $40 amenity fee, for what? Having a pool? And $70 for self parking. The alternative they give you is go find a metered spot on the street. Not ideal. I paid less than that the previous night for valet parking at a 4-star resort nearby.

The property is beautiful and in a wonderful location. The upgrade to an ocean front room was worth it! The staff was accommodating and very pleasant. I was not aware the property is undergoing construction so it was a bit noisy. The pool was very cold although it was supposed to be heated and the jacuzzi was dirty, which was disappointing. The hotel doesn’t have any dining options although there are a ton of restaurants nearby and the wine reception was wonderful!

This was once a great hotel, and I'm sure it will be again, when the renovation work is complete. But for now, it's a dump. Noisy work continues, including Sundays, sections of the hotel are closed off - but not properly, so if you follow the signs to the pool level, getting out of the elevator brings you to a messy construction area. Dirt is visible even in the currently open areas. Of course they conveniently forget to mention any of these - in fact they are still running Facebook ads displaying the famous terrace with gorgeous views... except that terrace is closed now! The rooms are clean, but heating is horribly noisy, like a tractor, and water pressure in the shower is very weak. The only thing they could not mess up is the view... beautiful! Everything else is a mess, and to charge full price for this is criminal.

We had restful quality time Staff very responsive to any need. Snack we had was delicious ( smoked salmon on sour dough bread) Room immaculate, quiet. The pacific coastal walkway adjacent to property was Breathtaking, and the beach was clean and beautiful! Would go back in a minute!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it. The location was amazing, offering easy access to everything I wanted to see and do. Beautiful location when renovations are complete. So far the decor looks great and modern. Our room was modern and had good air conditioning, but wasn't located facing the water, but a busy and full of boxes for the renovations and workers. So not any privacy. Bathrooms could of used a better cleaning job. But nice room and convenient for a few nights stay.

Very expensive ($700 Canadian) for a room that was at pool level. Needed to keep the curtains pulled at all times and there was no access to the pool from the room. Was told that the photo in their website shows this but it wasn’t clear to me. Also the air conditioning was incredibly loud. It’s clearly a very old system so I understand but it turned on and off at will so it was difficult to have a proper sleep. One of the loudest I have experienced..

Amazing stay at Laguna Beach. Hotel is quaint and has all the modern amenities needed. Location is central and walkable to everything. Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean. Rooms very comfortable. I am picky about beds and the bed was great! Slept very well. Highly recommend.

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is just a stairway level away from Laguna Beach. The worst part is the incredibly loud AC unit. When it’s off the room gets too hot. When it is on, it sounds like a train passing through town, which made it hard to sleep at night.

Our stay here was the tell of two rooms. Our first room was small and did not have normal features like a place in the shower for soap or shampoo, a pocket door for the bathroom and felt like a door room, had traffic noise, no garden view and electrical problems. We could also hear the person in the next room using the bathroom. Due to the electrical problems, we were moved to another room. The second room was normal size and normal features but still a parking lot view but was quieter. The wine in the evenings does not include cheese, crackers or fruit, this was disappointing. The cookies at night are of low quality and often there were only one variety left when were got there. The location is excellent and being able to walk to downtown and along the walkway in the park is amazing. The inn should provide free parking for quest or at least cut the rate in half instead of charging more than the city lots. The Terrance was closed due to rain, I think they should have opened up the conference room for quest use so we could have enjoyed the amazing views. Overall we did enjoy our stay and are likely to return to the inn if we are certain we can get a room like the second room. I will not stay here again if only smaller rooms are available or the room size is just random.

Not only did we have to pay for parking but the garage literally damaged my car everytime I would come and go my car scraped on the ground ..and the rooms were extra small was expected bigger for the price.

Not the best experience here at Casa Loma. The staff was not very attentive and as a result service was lacking. No towels, no water and the security isn't great as there were non visitors using the facilities and being kicked out only after being reported. Charged amenity fees even though the amenities were lacking during our stay, as we never received any of the nightly milk and cookies. On top of the amenities, they want to charge you $60 a night to park even though the daily lots in area only charge $20. Rooms are way overpriced for the service and kind of rooms being provided. Best part of the hotel is the location but there are hotels across the street that are cheaper and just as convenient.

Checking in the upsold to an ocean view room. Told us they would notify us when ready. two hours later we decided to see if the room was ready. Supervisor proceeds to tell us the room promised was unavailable and the gal that upsold us didn't know there was a GLITCH in their system. Ended up with room facing busy PCH. Pool closes to early. The "restaurant" in the lobby is extremely slow for food service. Even a bagel. Go across the street to Starbucks. Ice bucket in the room holds enough for 2 beverages. Upon check in nothing was relayed to us about pool, restaurant hours, amenities in room, parking, etc. Hotel is only good if youhave an ocean view room for those prices.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night, and I'm glad it was only 1 night. While the room was decent, the construction made it very difficult to not only find the entrance to the hotel, but navigation inside was very confusing. I was willing to let that go, but a few weeks after returning home I realized I was missing a few things so I called the hotel to see if maybe I left them behind. It turns out I did, and they offered to mail them back to me if I pay for shipping through a 3rd part company. I paid the shipping, but here we are a week after speaking to them and the company they use to pay the shipping cost says that the hotel has not even printed the shipping label yet. They told me that they have contacted the hotel to remind them it has been paid, and I called yesterday and left a voicemail because no one answered the phone, but no call back. I'm starting to think I'm never going to get my items returned, AND I wasted another $30 on shipping. Had the hotel notified me that I left these items behind once room service turned over my room, I could have just come back to the hotel to pick them up, but no, it took me having to call several weeks later to find out that they had it. This is terrible customer service.

This was our second stay at this property. The first time here two years ago was special, with a room on the third floor and friendly staff experience throughout our stay. This time was noticeably different under new management. Pros: great location, beach adjacent, comfortable beds, bathrobes, rooftop terrace with great views. Cons: new owners made the hotel more trendy, which translated to a higher charge for most everything. Self parking was $60, resort fee $40. We checked in as returning guests and were treated less than because of using Expedia. We were told our Expedia booking meant we got a specific type of room. That specific room type, which he would not budge on, was a first floor, smaller room staring mostly at bushes rather than the ocean. He said an “upgrade” from our Expedia rate would be $300 more. We regretted our return, as our fond memories from the first visit to the property melted away. We love Laguna Beach and will pick another property next time.

Location is perfect, in the heart of downtown area. Starbucks across the street. Whole Foods close by. Access to beaches. Free trolley service close by if you don't have a car. Art museum is a block away. Lots of restaurants in area. Hotel has espresso machine in room and serves coffee in the lobby in the morning. Also serves milk and cookies after 6pm in the lobby.

Property is extremely overpriced. It should be $300 per night less. Airconditioning system needs to be revamped. It is extremely noisy. On a good note, the food is excellent and it's great to have a bar and small restaurant in the lobby. Beautiful ocean views.

The Casa Loma property and location is absolutely beautiful and the room was very clean and well represented. The small issues we did have were: -Parking garage is tiny and a bit dark, but parking in Laguna is bad all around, no problem. -The shower was incredibly small, would have loved the great water pressure and temp in a bigger area. - we ordered coffee, a bagel, and Açaí bowl via room service in the morning by their recommended text option and after 40 minutes we called the front desk to discover nobody got the order, it then took another 30 minutes to get the order. All in all this place is beautiful and right on the beach, it is expensive but i did enjoy my time overall and would return.

Lovely location on the water, friendly and accommodating staff, dog friendly and tea and coffee offerings were good. Beds and bedding were nice. Overall very happy. Older building that could use updates but we had an ocean view room with a dog etc. One piece of feedback is that the hotel advertised a rooftop bar and eating on the coastline. There’s no bar or restaurant and the wine offerings in the evening are not very high quality.
