The hotel was ok but it was outdated. The wifi was really bad and parking was very bad and too hard to get in and out of the underground parking and too expensive and overpriced. When I booked it said that parking was $11 but when I got to the hotel I was told that starting August they changed their parking price to $17 per night. Unfortunately I couldn’t do anything about it and it was so frustrating because the parking was soo tight and every time I was about to hit the sides of walls going in and out. I was so scared to hit the rental car I had every time I was going in and out of parking I had to let a family member stand to lead me in and out so I won’t hit the wall of the entrance. They even installed a barrier on the wall because they knew that people would hit the wall. So disappointed for the price of the 5 nights I had to pay for bad parking. Never to book again and misleading price of parking in the booking page.

You have to take a small set of stairs to get to the elevator. Not sure how someone in a wheelchair would get around in this hotel. Enjoyed a hot breakfast in the morning.

Great and friendly service from everyone. Room was clean and spacious. Pillows were rather hard but bed was comfortable otherwise...and the parking lot was a little dicey. Other than that I would stay again.

We stayed over for 4 nights while we were on a trip to see the Getty Museum and Villa after Christmas. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a suite with a balcony and extra TV area with a couch, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The space was great, but the facility is aging. Parking for standard sized and smaller vehicles was located under the building. To access it, we had to drive between two buildings down a single lane ramp that had a 90 degree corner and a sheer drop off at the bottom. Fortunately, we found the hotel had a different small lot with spaces for larger vehicles on ground level. The advantage of parking under the building was it was connected to the elevator. The only way to get the luggage cart to the vehicle was to roll it down the ramp to the parking area because there are steps that separate the check in area from the rooms. Hotel staff helped us with moving our luggage to our room. Since we moved the truck to the large vehicle parking area, we had to carry our luggage to the front door, bring the truck around, and load up there when we checked out.The breakfast included eggs and meat along with a pancake machine, bagels, muffins, fruit, and the usual drinks.

We stayed 6 nights between Xmas and New Years, as our parents lived nearby, and this location allowed us to go over to our family’s place easily. The staff were always helpful and one night when we got back from a long day out at universal studios, there was no hot water in our room. They immediately offered us another room to shower in. Parking in the underground of the building can be a bit tight for Large SUVs but I think they have parking in the back of their other building if you ask. Parking is not free unfortunately. Overall we enjoyed our stay here for the convenience and helpfulness of the staff.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare if you have a small vehicle. They have a separate lot for larger vehicles like trucks, but the underground parking is a bit hard to park in and get out of when they’re busy. Overall the room was clean and comfortable.

The fan in the bathroom wasn’t functioning, and there was no window to air it out. Not to big a deal, but annoying. Little bit of mold on window in bath probably due to the lack of ventilation.

Best Western? That name used to be quality. Our experience found like it was a rundown Motel 6 dirty carpet bathroom no bigger than that of a greyhound bus bathroom and looking at the corners of the floor possibly mold pretty gross. charged over $350 for one night

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and before I was leaving to check out I saw bed bugs crawling around. The hotel was disgusting and had a weird smell. There is mold throughout the hotel. The walls are paper thin. I notified the staff of bed bugs and they offered no compensation. Would never stay here again.

Staff was professional, kind and accommodating due to very noisy guests on top floor above our room. We had to change rooms at midnight. Phones were down so could not reach front desk, had to come to lobby in person at midnight. Another hotel guest (a Diamond member I was informed) harassed me and was extremely rude. Hotel manager was very apologetic and reduced our room rate. Hotel is old and needs updates. On busy road so is noisy, nothing they can do but to be aware if you choose to stay. Bathroom is very small and odd, have to dry off after showering in the room. Won't be staying again in the future.

The foot print of the hotel is weird. Separate buildings with very tight main parking lot. On a very busy street. HOWEVER, the room was very roomy, clean, bed comfortable and all necessary items were present: blackout curtains and double pained windows, microwave, refrigerator but no freezer, coffee pot and tv. Free wifi. Only things that bothered me were- no thinner pillows and a/c made some noises and room seemed a bit stuffy or humid.

I don't typically leave reviews but unfortunately this was the most negative hotel experiences i have had - i travel for work often and have stayed in many hotels around the globe. The room was dark and dingy and the air was heavy and stuffy. The blankets on the bed consisted of a single sheet and a very thin blanket on top, it was quite cold in the night. The walls were incredibly thin, i could hear doors slamming when people came and went - this woke me up a few times in the night. I could hear everything in the rooms close to mine - conversations, dogs barking, night time activities... I woke up in the middle of the night to an incredibly loud noise when the shower turned on in a room around mine. The TV had no cable and when i turned it on, the TV was set to the french language. While the staff at the hotel was friendly, the rooms simply were not as they were pictured and the cost of what i was charged did not translate into the quality and state of room i was given. My room did not have a bath tub but an open floorplan bathroom where the shower floor had no boundary into the bathroom area, it was quite slippery when i got out of the shower area. The shower head only stood about 4.5 feet tall, i am 5'9 so it was difficult to wash hair.

we booked this hotel for close proximity to UCLA, staff is friendly, room is ok too but the bathroom is very small. Toilet is literally across from sink so when you bend to sit down if you are not careful then will hit your forehead, it did mine.

Parking situation was awful . Far from our room not to mention tight small spaces. No restful nights all night long other people who stayed at hotel kept slamming there door late at night . Not to mention there was no elevator in our building. Shower was very small . Smaller than a closet. No bathtub.On our last night we heard a lady in next building yelling in the middle of night .

The rooms at this property SMELLED. I told the front desk that the air filter probably needed to be replaced because the smell coming out of the air conditioner was fowl. One of the towels in our room was already dirty. The front desk was not adept at handling a noise complaint--loud music went on for over 3 hours. If I had known that the stay would have been that bad, I would have paid more at a decent hotel.

Had an unexpected medical emergency my father whom I caregive for went into an unexpected surgery. We couldn’t make our check in the next day. Due to needing to be at the hospital. I called the day we went to the ER which was the day before check in. Asked if we could get a partial refund or a refund since this is an emergency. We had to cancel our entire plans and stay the whole weekend. Expedia tried to help but Best western refused to help or give a refund in anyway knowing we would not make it. So we were charged $267. For one night. I do not recommend working or purchasing a room from such heartless money grubbing organization

Hotel was very convenient to freeway, metro rail, and sites on the north and west side of the city. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful! The manager Fred was OUTSTANDING!! We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I booked this BW hotel in the vicinity of both UCLA where my son is a student and West LA where my daughter lives and works. We could not have been happier with the level of service we received. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the shower head in the bathroom and it was fixed immediately. The staff was kind and made us feel comfortably welcome, answering all our questions and asking if there was anything else they could do for us. We aren’t used to this above average level of hospitality and we would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a reasonably priced and homey place to stay while visiting LA. The free breakfast was great, my son was invited to dine with us each morning even though he wasn’t staying with us. The food was plentiful and there was something for everyone. We will absolutely return here on our next California visit.

Pet friendly hotel, spacious room, and the staff were very nice! Good, hot breakfast every morning. Big bathroom, which can be converted to more bedroom space. Heavy traffic on the street - people were driving at high speed while I walked my dog on the lawn area/sidewalk of the busy street. Parking garage has low ceiling/roof and is very narrow. Location is very close to light rail. I didn't safe walking around the premise since there was a couple homeless people roaming around at night time.

The location is close to UCLA, which is convenient. There are restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at hotel is very basic. Parking is a struggle - if you drive a van or full SUV or truck, it will be VERY difficult to park your vehicle since the parking space is very narrow and low. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

Stayed 5 days on a trip with my daughter. Decent place, terrible parking situation. If you don't manage to get one of the 4 spots up front you better have a tiny compact car because getting into the "parking lot" and even worse, getting OUT of it is a nightmare! But the rooms were decent, breakfast was well stocked usually and staff was friendly and helpful. Great location and jumping off point for the beach, Santa Monica, hiking and even downtown LA wasn't a bad drive from here.

The staff, especially Fred, was so kind to my husband after his surgery at UCLA. It made the stay much easier. The parking was very tight and should be included when you are paying over 250 a night but it is LA. The bathroom was very small and the closets were very large. I wished it was the opposite. The room was clean and neat. The AC was very loud all night but covered up the traffic noise. It was a bit difficult getting our luggage up and down the stairs to get to the elevator. The staff and specific location for this trip were really outstanding!

No complaints about the property itself. Great place to stay great staff clean. But the view from my bedroom window looked over an alley where junkies are shooting up their drugs right underneath me. It was like a homeless encampment back there and I’m glad I never had to go on that side of the property.

I requested my room be in a quiet area when booking online and the management offered a top floor room facing away from the street. It was quiet, bed super comfy and I slept great. The only thing, the bathroom was tiny. Size not the end of the world, I was alone. The thing that was tricky was the lack of water pressure and irregular temperature control of the water. The plentiful breakfast made up for it. Coffee was good, sausage and eggs warm and fresh fruit to take always works well! All areas were clean and staff was super friendly, helpful, and smiling. I will definitely stay here again and want to thank Fred for honoring my request and helping to make my stay more comfortable!

Loved the continental breakfast; they had a yogurt machine. Ate yummy parfaits every morning. Room was nice with an attached living room i wasnt expecting. Bathroom was a bit tight but clean and stocked with good products.

Room smelled very strong odors -appeared clean, but my first impression smelled like pot and cleaner every time I walked into the room The bathroom layout was difficult-the space between the toilet and the sink cabinet was around 7 inches so there was quite the physical maneuver just to use the toilet- hot my knees a few times The breakfast was not great. It was instant every thing, including the eggs and sausage, clearly frozen clearly old. Fresh fruits (apples oranges) on the older side except the bananas. Lots of items out of stock each morning- if you don’t get there first thing, I guess you just don’t get to eat it. Parking is challenging, not impossible but very difficult with even a small Rav 4 car. I had to park on the street two of my four nights and walk to the hotel. Bed was decent pillows were decent. I did not have my room serviced. I just went and asked for fresh towels, so I cannot comment about that the morning of day 2 I had to go search out for Kleenex and toilet paper because the room was out wasn’t even there for 12 hours Overall, the staff was very kind, but the room was not ideal and you really do go there for the room
