We stayed in a two queen with pull out couch, it was perfect for my family of 4. Breakfast (pancakes, fruit, eggs, sausage, coffee) was such a nice perk! Beds were comfortable, room was clean. My only complaints were our very small bathroom with no working fan, and the laundry room only took quarters. Great central location for traveling.

Painful experience. Nothing personnal with the staff which were great and helpful but the hotel isn’t renovated and it shows massively. It feels straight from the 90s. No elevator to 1st floor, bad smell in the main lobby and an even worse smell in the room. The AC unit was extremely noisy, just like if a Boeing 777 was launching every 20 minutes. There was cigarette holes in the bed sheets. There was serious noise in the room from the floor above, we could hear the footsteps and wood cracking like if there was construction workers above us. The outdoor pool was full of sand and you could feel it was not properly maintained. Even the kids were scared to sleep because of the overall experience. It is probably the worse Best Western I’ve ever been. It is a 2,5 stars and don’t expect anything above that.

Overall, very nice hotel for the $. Decent neighborhood. Free breakfast wasn't bad. Some problems: 1: the "dog friendly" note on hotels.com does not apply to the entire hotel. They have 3 dog-friendly rooms. I was lucky enough that the asst. mgr took mercy on me and let me keep my dog in a normal room, or I'd have been hosed. 2: the parking lot, at least the one for small cars, is HORRIBLE. So little room to maneuver, "dangerous is the only word I can describe. Also, they charge $20/night to park. 3: the safe in our room had no power 4: the shower in our room had no hot water. (the hot water dial was broken)

What a perfect little hotel. So clean, quiet and the staff, particularly Fred and Eric, went above and beyond. Breakfast was good and although there isn't a lot to do nearby, a quick uber ride takes you to downtown, Venice Beach and the Santa Monica pier. Thank you for a wonderful week!
