Needed a procedure done at Cedars Sinai and this Hotel is very close by. The staff is very friendly, parking garage is a little tight, but manageable. Felt very secure, and the complimentary beverages were excellent. Thank you!

we were told we had 2 parking spots in the garage but when my friend tried parking in the garage with her truck they told her she would not fit and there was parking at the mall up the street. Her GMC truck is not lifted. My BMW M4 scraped going in and coming out of the garage and it isnt lowered. Thier ice machine did not work. When we took showers, the toilet kept flushing???

First, parking is $40. THERE IS NO STREET PARKING IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION. For $40, cars are double parked in a tiny garage, there is no getting in an out -- you may be blocked. Oh yeah. Garage fills up really quickly -- barely enough for 30% of rooms. Second -- NO AMENITIES, no pool, no bar, no fitness room. But they do collect a resort fee of $20. Nice? Not! Second, it is grim inside -- dark walls, mediocre lighting, just the vibe of ot feels like a dungeon. Yes it is clean -- no questions there. Beverly center is 5 minutes walk, Macy's and Bloomingdale's if you are into it. But parking is a major, major, major problem in the area, and the hotel hasn't addressed it.

We have stayed at the Elan twice now when bringing a friend to Cedar Sinai. It is very conveniently located, and offers a discount if you are visiting the hospital (only through their site). The only drawback is parking. If you have a larger car you may have a problem. The parking is underground. I drive an SUV, and the clearance didn’t appear to accommodate the height. The front desk person was unable to provide me with clearance info, so both times I was able to park my Traverse behind the hotel next to their dumpster in the alley for no charge. Other than that, you have to find parking on the street (Beverly Blvd, or very narrow side streets) which is metered at all times.

The parking situation is inconvenient. In order to enter the garage to park your car, you must call their designated number parking number so the agent can open the gate for you. I will not stay at this property again for this exact reason.

I stayed 1 night. The power went off in the morning. I wanted to leave at 5:00AM and my car was stuck in the parking of the hotel until 8:00AM. The gate could not operate because of the lack of power. It could not be open by hand either. There was no access to the parking as well. The elevator had no power and there was no stair access to the parking. Basically, I was stuck until the power came back on. The security/night person was nice but she could not do anything.

The garage has limited parking spots but I was able to get a spot both nights. Be aware there is a sketchy Taco Bell across the street and a free clinic next door, so there will be random people hanging around the area. The hotel charges $20/day for “amenities”, but I have no idea what those amenities are. Overall I survived my two nights and avoided having the car broken into, but personally I wouldn’t stay here again.

I chose this hotel because I had stayed here in 2016–2017. However, from the moment I arrived, I was disappointed. First of all, the staff at the door was very cold and indifferent. The sink in the room was leaking. As seen in Photo 3, we tried to block the water ourselves. Unless we specifically asked, the trash in the room was not taken out. The room was not vacuumed for five days. The dirt shown in Photo 2 remained there throughout our stay. The toilet got clogged and overflowed. Although the blockage was fixed, the cleaning was only done after we returned to the room and asked them. There was a notice about a coffee/wine hour, but during our stay, the wine hour was never held. (See Photo 4.)

Avoid this hotel. I had a bad experience. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. The bed sheets were threadbare and unclean. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The toilet seat was broken. The vents made weird noises throughout the night. Barely made it through one night of the three nights we had booked through Expedia. We talked to Expedia and they asked us to talk to the hotel. We checked out in the morning after the first night and asked the manager for a refund for the next two nights. The management also ignored the couple of messages I sent them to get the refund - they ignored my messages.

The second we opened the door, a plume of musty stench hit me and my partner. It smelled terrible. Ironically, there was a candle (not lit) on the TV stand - so they obviously knew it was an issue. We had been traveling all day and arrived around 9 pm. I went and asked the host up front for another room as the smell was terrible. He said they didn't have any other rooms and gave me matches for the candle. It was late and we had an early flight with a lot of checked luggage - we were trapped. I ran the AC all night hoping it would help with the mugginess. I woke up several times feeling gross and unsanitary. I feel like this was similar to staying at Econo Lodge or Budget Inn, not a $200+/night "boutique" hotel.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay. The room was nicely decorated and well-appointed including super comfy bedding. There’s a comfortable lobby with morning coffee and happy hour in the evening. The staff was friendly and attentive. I saw that they have off-street parking, but we didn’t have a car so didn’t use the garage. The location is good with shopping and conveniences nearby.

This property has a good value especially when compared to per night rates with other hotels around. Staff are very friendly and allowed late night check in and extended courtesy check out. The caveat is windows aren’t sealed properly and rooms that are facing the street has super loud traffic noises that we couldn’t sleep all night. The bathroom tub might have leaks as noticed by wet bathroom floors. If amenities are fixed properly, this can be a true value place to spend a night.

The Elan Hotel was part of my LA trip, and it turned out to be a great choice. I managed to do so much in such a short stay — checked in close to midnight and checked out almost at midnight the next day! The location is excellent — close to Beverly Hills, within walking distance of The Grove and Beverly Center, and just a short Uber ride to the Hollywood Bowl or Santa Monica. The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff was friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond when I realized I had left a medicine in the fridge — they kept it refrigerated for five days until I returned to LA. Truly great service, an unbeatable location, and a wonderful experience overall. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a recently renovated room. The room was small with a refrigerator and microwave. Hardly anything luxury about it. The AC was unable to make the room cool even on a day when it was not very hot. The bathroom received no air from the system and was really hot. The new system was controlled centrally and was limited to 67 degrees. Unfortunately, the thermostat did not even have the ability to display the current temperature. The underground parking only had space for half the rooms and was marked for double parking. Luckily there were few guests the nights we were there, it was not a problem. The furnishings were nice and the bathroom was all marble but no exhaust fan.

Sole front desk check in person was at lunch when we arrived. We had to wait in the lobby for him for about 20 minutes. When i complained to the Front desk in the AM they did waive a $20 urban fee off the bill for our inconvenience - I thought that was fair.

My stay was peaceful and comfortable. Upon check in, well after midnight, I realized I had left my phone in the uber car that dropped me off at the hotel. The desk host was beyond fantastic in assisting me to reach the uber driver to confirm he had my phone and make arrangements for it to be delivered to hotel next day.

The Elan Hotel was part of my LA trip, and it turned out to be a great choice. I managed to do so much in such a short stay — checked in close to midnight and checked out almost at midnight the next day! The location is excellent — close to Beverly Hills, within walking distance of The Grove and Beverly Center, and just a short Uber ride to the Hollywood Bowl or Santa Monica. The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff was friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond when I realized I had left a medicine in the fridge — they kept it refrigerated for five days until I returned to LA. Truly great service, an unbeatable location, and a wonderful experience overall. Would definitely stay again.

I was moved to 4 different rooms during my 3 day stay. The 1st had just been painted and the paint odor was awful. pant supplies were just outside the sliding glass door. Room 2 had not been made up. room 3 was acceptable. But later in the evening, the toilet was not working. I was told they would waive my parking fees for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Next morning was moved to room #4. Ran out of Toilet paper and took forever to find a roll. the worst offense was when someone else walked into my room. they had given my key to a new guest. Went to complain and when I came back to room my key did not work. Checking out, Oscar was quite rude. I asked for some compensation for all of the issues. Not only did Oscar not offer any, but said I should only have had 1 night parking waived. That was the last straw. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 5 years, but no more.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Elan Hotel. The location was excellent with lots of places to eat and shop within 2 blocks. The area was safe and clean. My room was clean and comfortable, even with a guest bathrobe for me. I don’t recall the last time I saw one of those. The bed was firm and the 4 pillows were in 4 different firmnesses, so that I could select the one to my liking. The people working the front desk were friendly, welcoming, helpful. I’d definitely stay there again.

When we checked in the girl was rude and said to ring the bell only once. She didn’t tell us about anything and how to get in the parking garage. We had to ask her everything and she was irritated that we did. I won’t be back here.

We booked a night to stay close to my son after getting surgery. When we got to the hotel, staff told us we were unable to stay because the power was out. They refused to give me a full refund when we didn’t even stay the night. Terrible customer service.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible. On the first night, at 1 AM, the Los Angeles Police raided the room next door, and it was an extremely frightening experience. I never expected something like this to happen, but there was no explanation or support from the hotel staff at all. Furthermore, I had a reservation for 10 nights, but on the 5th night, the entire hotel lost power, and by the following morning, it still hadn’t been restored. As a result, I had no choice but to move to another hotel. When I checked out, I was told that they would contact me once the power was restored, but there was no follow-up whatsoever. Later, I contacted Expedia to request a refund, but the hotel refused to provide any compensation. I can’t believe the lack of concern or professionalism. I cannot stress enough how unsettling and inconvenient this experience was. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Convenient location if you need to be near Cedars-Sinai. The room was really old and musty-smelling, old carpet, hair all over the bedding and towels. The garage has limited parking spots but I was able to get a spot both nights. Be aware there is a sketchy Taco Bell across the street and a free clinic next door, so there will be random people hanging around the area. The hotel charges $20/day for “amenities”, but I have no idea what those amenities are. Overall I survived my two nights and avoided having the car broken into, but personally I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was clean, the reception was okay. The room faced a major street and was not very soundproof so it was noisy. The area didn’t feel safe as there were a lot of people loitering across the street. I was disappointed in the billing… never received an itemized statement for my one night stay, and extra charges (early check in and parking) seemed to nearly double the price I paid to Expedia. The absence of an itemized statement made me question whether the hotel had charged me twice for fees already covered. Of course, it could very well just be LA area costs. Won’t be staying here again.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay. The room was nicely decorated and well-appointed including super comfy bedding. There’s a comfortable lobby with morning coffee and happy hour in the evening. The staff was friendly and attentive. I saw that they have off-street parking, but we didn’t have a car so didn’t use the garage. The location is good with shopping and conveniences nearby.

The property charged a surprise $20 resort fee for “amenities” and gave us 2 coupons for happy hour. They were out of all beer options and were not sold out. It was a bit of a clunky process all the way around. The parking is a garage and you have to call them to be let in, which is great for safety but not super convenient…also, the spots are sometimes used as tandem, which is nerve wracking because we have an urgency to leave in the morning so we’re hoping no one parks in front of us. Comfortable and clean for the room rate, but could fine tune several things.

Everyone who worked there was very nice and they offer free beer and wine from 5:30-7:30PM which was nice. The first room I was given smelled absolutely horrible of cigarettes. The second room room only has one small bed in it and was incredibly uncomfortable. The soap bottles were falling apart, only some of the outlets worked and parking didn’t feel safe. I’d avoid.

Exceptionally clean room, which is literally a block down the street from Cedar Sinai. We stayed there for my dad’s surgery.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of wonderful amenities, including a happy hour in the lobby.. this is also one of the most beautifully designed hotels I’ve been at, down to the last detail. Highly recommend.!
