I chose this location because they advertise it as having EV charging. After checking in I was told they only had Tesla chargers, and on top of that billed me $50/nt for parking. For a "non-smoking" hotel the room I was assigned smelled like a geriatric smokers' lounge (and the powet outlet didn't work). After complaining they moved me to a new room which was better. The bathroom fan sounded like a gas engine windblower - could use some upgrades. Overall it's not very "Luxe" as the name implies, and I regret spending $50/nt on parking, plus a $34/nt resort fee, on top of the $250/nt I spent on the base rate.

The hotel is lovely. The only problem is the parking. When you stay on the upper level, you have to keep shuttling back-and-forth. The pool is warm and clean. The place is quiet.

This was a really nice hotel. They accommodated an early check in for me. Parking is valet. Pool area was really nice and so was the fitness center. The fitness center was a bit small and crowded after 7am, but overall this was a great stay

Rooms were fine. The back part of the hotel was up a dark road and inconvenient. The outer doors to the building were propped open each night and did not feel safe. GYM was pretty limited

The resort fee is bs. We didn’t use pool or gym once but automatically added to bill. Same pretty much everywhere though. Nice property but needs a renovation. Easy access to SM beach, etc. but need a car.

Great staff, particularly the front desk, the young Asian bar-tender who organised our dinner, and the wait staff at breakfast. Food was excellent at moderate prices. We were in the annex which was a bit inconvenient but the on-call shuttle was efficient. Room was clean, king bed very comfortable and while the room price was not cheap and parking on the expensive side (at $50/night) it was not over-the-top by LA standards. Highly recommend.

I booked this property on Expedia but didn’t find out until check out that there was an additional $80 charge per day for “resort fee and taxes”!!! The pool was nice, but there were no towels left when I got there at 2 pm and no food or beverage service as was advertised. I felt ripped off by the “resort fee”. The male staff at check in were supercilious and full of themselves. The women were very nice. Overall it was a nice place but definitely had issues and could’ve been a lot better. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Layout is ridiculously awkward with the hotel split in half. They have the odd golfcart or car ferrying people up and back, but made things painful. The gym was also non-existent due to a refurb that was not communicated. They had moved a couple of items outside by the pool, but with the weather being over 30 degrees by 7am, it was way too hot to use!

The property is absolutely beautiful and feels very luxurious for the price! The staff is awesome and very nice. Pool is nice. The breakfast and room service 10/10. Food was delicious! The only “complaint” I had, was the room and bathroom were a little dirty. Like the toilet wasn’t cleaned very well and the floors made our feet black. This however wasn’t a big deal, we wore slippers in the room! Overall a great experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The most notable issue was the lack of cleanliness throughout the property. The carpet in my room was extremely dirty, to the point where walking without shoes felt uncomfortable and unhygienic. This significantly impacted the overall ambiance and comfort of the room. Additionally, the bed was not up to standard. It was uncomfortable, which hindered my ability to get a good night's sleep. This is a pet friendly hotel and my room stank to high heaven of pet urine and odors. It was an overwhelming stench like an indoor kennel. While the room appeared clean, the carpet was old and presumably soaked in years of animal pee. I couldn’t be in it for more than a few minutes without feeling sick and there was no way I or anyone could sleep in that room. The front desk then upgraded my room to one across the hall. It stank too. Not quite as bad but I didn’t have another 45 minutes to kill negotiating another room change so I stayed but the smell actually awakened me three times during the night. Beyond gross. Plus, the air conditioning was broken (although that was fine because it was cold outside and the room temp was comfortable). I couldn’t get out of there fast enough in the morning. It’s been 4 hours since I left and I still can’t get that nasty smell out of my nose. Another note: The “restaurant” for breakfast was in reality a conference room. Four walls with tables and chairs, that’s it. When we arrived, the empty tables were all filled with dishes that hadn’t been cleared, there was no visible staff, and the place just had a weird vibe. We left and went to a coffee shop nearby. Michael, the valet, was a delight. Nicole at the front desk did her best to be helpful and it’s not her fault that the rooms smell disgusting. I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

We had a wonderful stay at the luxe. The service was really good and the rooms were nice and spacious. The only thing I noticed was a little wear and tear in the hallways and rooms. It could use a fresh coat of paint. The rooms were a little dark and the bathrooms had poor lighting. Other than that, great stay!

My husband and I liked that the property was conveniently located directly off Route 405. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The main lobby was very nice, however, the property itself could use an overhaul. The carpeting was pulled up in the hallways and when we asked if they were putting new carpet in, they stated that it was like that for 2 years! Also, the rooms were large but dated and need to be renovated.

Our room was infested with ants. They were all over the bed sheets, counters, and floors. We called the front desk to report the problem in the morning before we left the room. When we came back at night they had taken no action as the ants were all over the room. They finally moved us to a different room in the middle of the night but we found dead bugs in the sheets in that room too. The manager I spoke to did nothing to address our complaint.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. The grounds were nice, and the location was great, however, the room felt like a worn out motel room. The carpet was dingy and had a bit if a smell. The air conditioner was loud and couldn’t really keep up with the summer heat. The bathroom was musty. The faucets were a bit leaky. The tub drained slowly. The bathroom cabinets were warped and paint was chipping. The linens were rough and stained. I would have asked for a different room if it weren’t for the fact that my Son’s room was quite comparable to mine with its own set of issues. This led me to understand that the hotel as a whole was in need of maintenance and renovation. The check in process was slow. The reception agent checking us in was very snooty and kind of rude. The parking is valet only and is $47/day. The valet staff was really nice and accommodating though. Overall, if you stay at this hotel with the expectation that it is equivalent to a lower end Best Western, you won’t be too disappointed. If you are looking for an upscale experience, I would recommend a different hotel.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were genuinely friendly, and my room was impressively quiet — something I really appreciated. The view looked directly onto the hillside (as in, right against it), so not much to see, but it didn’t bother me since I was out exploring most of the day. The only confusing part was breakfast. We had paid in advance, so it was technically included, but only certain items on the menu were covered, which felt a bit misleading. Still, overall, it’s a lovely hotel and I’d happily return.

Rooms are large but the decor is a bit dated. Bathroom in particular was not well lit. WiFi was pretty slow. Selection of channels on TV could have been better. But staff was friendly and helpful and the property was quite nice and felt secluded despite being right off Sunset Blvd by the 405 freeway.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The rooms feel very outdated and run-down, which detracts from the overall experience. Throughout our stay, we could hear the loud and persistent noise of the A/C system from the neighboring room, which was quite disruptive. That said, the property itself is visually appealing. However, being in the second building and having to rely on shuttles to get back and forth was quite inconvenient. While the location is good for work-related purposes, I would only choose to stay here again if absolutely necessary.

Stayed here with my 2 kids. Hotel is really not close to anything. Not walking distance to anything. Pool is not well maintained and was dirty most days were there, even in the morning. Rooms need to renovated.

It was an amazing experience. It started with the smooth check-in, Jocelyn was kind and helpful. She had a smile and was accommodating to our needs. The valet staff were quick in getting our car. The restaurant food was good too, we ate brunch and it was delicious. The rooms are cleaned well. It was close to UCLA. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights for my son's graduation. They have a tennis court and a pool. They also provided coffee in the morning and infused water during the rest of the day I would recommend this hotel. The service is excellent. Thank you.

The property itself was excellent, but the valet service was quite challenging. Upon our arrival, there was no one available to take our car, and we ended up waiting for a considerable amount of time. Each time we needed the car returned, the process was equally difficult. Additionally, when I requested assistance with our luggage, I was simply handed a bell cart and had to handle it on my own.

The Luxe is a gorgeous property nestled in the Brentwood hills, hidden behind lush hedgerows. I love it. During my recent stay, Chris at the front desk took awesome care of me, Joshua the sales director also made me feel welcome, and Abel the bartender mixes the most perfect dry martini. Loved how quiet and clean my room was and the pool area is really relaxing and pretty. Cute gym, too. Dislikes? When I walked my dog around the property I noticed hotel staff did not pick up trash as well as they should. There was a whole pile of junk, including a toilet plunger, sitting in a big pile against the hotel for three days. Come on, guys. But I will be back. This is a unique property with friendly, professional staff.

All the staff were incredibly kind and professional. In fact, we were checking out very early in the morning, and when we pulled our bags to the curb, a staff member was already waiting for us because they had seen us in the security cameras and came to assist. You just can’t get that kind of service anymore!

This is our second time staying at the property and we had difficulty with check in both times. Both times we checked in well after 3 and they had no room available for hours. They also downgraded our room and offered no alternative. Rooms are average with some broken and old items in the room. Staff was unfriendly and unaccommodating .

Luxe is a pretty good hotel for visiting our grandchildren. For this particular trip, we have two unexpected comments. Firstly, the valet service wasn't up to par. Our room was directly above the upper valet area. It drove my husband nuts one evening when our car sat there in valet for a long time before my husband finally opened our sliding glass door and asked when our car would be moved.! Then, at the included breakfast, the service was so slow it was almost unbearable!

The staff was friendly and very responsive. It was helpful to have a restaurant on site, as LA traffic can be very heavy at meal times. I had read other reviews, so I knew there was a hike or ride in a golf car to get from the lobby to the upper building. My room was very spacious. The music from the pool area was audible through the patio doors, but thankfully it was turned off at night. There was also a single USB port in one of the bedside lamps, but it was on the side and hard to notice. Best to bring your own multi-device charger if staying here. Also need to be aware that there are no sidewalks leading from this hotel to any amenities and it is tricky for cars to turn left into the driveway. I enjoyed my stay overall, but the lack of sidewalks to the Getty museum or the nearby Westwood area's coffee shops, Whole Foods, UCLA campus, etc. was disappointing and required Uber/taxi every time I left the hotel.

The hotel was very pleasant and clean. All services were spot on. Housekeeping changed the sheets every day, which I did not expect. I asked for extra water, and they left it for me each day. Room service was exceptionally prompt. The food was good, although better in the restaurant. The bed was so comfortable, I asked housekeeping the mattress brand, but she did not know. I highly recommend this hotel.

The website says breakfast included, but that’s not the case. We had 3 people on the reservation with 2 beds in the room. Upon check-in, they told me breakfast was only for 2 people. When we went to the restaurant in the morning, they said the breakfast voucher covered $65 dollars, regardless of how many people eat. A plate of 2 eggs, bacon and potatoes is $30, not including drink. Also, the property doesn’t have self parking. If you want your car on-site, the only option is to valet, which is $50. The valet said that if I didn’t want to valet the car, then I could drive around the neighborhood and try to find parking on the street, which is not close by since the hotel is next to the freeway. The lobby is nice, but the rooms themselves are pretty dated and carpet is old and dirty, much like a motel. I tried to iron my shirt in the morning and the iron is so old/cheap that the wires were making false contact, so had told hold the cord with the other hand so it would stay straight for it iron to stay on, that’s the quality you get in the rooms.

Convenient to the Getty. Our room was spacious and quiet. It’s a pretty hotel with lovely grounds. Staff are nice. Seems like they are renovating as the hall floors were bare concrete. Good thing as the room needed a refresh. Only chair in room was a single desk chair. Coffeemaker in room was broken. Full breakfast included but service was very slow and overwhelmed.
