One of the hotel elevators was broken when I arrived so I had to go on the other side of the hotel and walk back down to my room. This was a little inconvenient with big luggage. And I was not offered any support to get them there. They charge me 30 extra dollars to check in early, which was fine but most places have complementary early check-in. The hotel itself was very dark looking and not very upscale at all. It could use an updating. The beds were comfy, but not the best I’ve ever slept on. Overall, it was a good choice for the price point.

This property was very nice. Complimentary Lyft to the airport. Clean, good food and bar service in lobby. Nice courtyard to relax in with pool and fire pit. Well kept grounds. Water bottles on arrival. Staff was clean, professional and presentable. Bedding and bathroom were clean. Smelled nice in the building and the room.

We enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The firepit was a great space for our family. The kids had fun in the pool minus the leaves and a few bugs. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. Alexandra helped us select a room that fit our needs. The bartender was nice and helped replinish our ice. Only recommendation would be an ice machine on each floor.

The hotel was very nice and quiet all night. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Fantastic especially for the price point and super convenient to the airport. It’s not a walkable area but that is what the current state is near the airport. The hotel is gated and I felt safe myself as well as parking my rental car in their parking lot.

Good choice for an overnight airport stay. The airport shuttle service uses Lyft and was great! Generally the hotel condition is good, however, some of the furniture items in our room showed signs of wear and tear. The hotel offers a made to order breakfast which was quite good.

It is terrible things that I found "Cockroach"in the bathroom, and I told the from desk, but she has not saying anything to me, looks like it is normal things, I and my friends will not be there anymore .

The room smelled like cheap perfume, cigarettes and BO. We found hairs in our bed sheets. The chair was dirty and had cigarette burn marks. I told the manager and he did nothing, just said they’re sorry for the inconvenience. I will never come back again.

The outside of the hotel was unclean. Trash on the ground. Inside lobby area was nice. You turn the corner and you see large stains on the carpet. Elevator was dirty inside. Open our room door strong order. Bed was very lumpy not a good night aleep. Guests were running and yelling during the early mornings. Hard to sleep. Breakfast was just okay nothing to brag about. After seeing a very latge rat come in from the outsdie before we left we will kot be returning.

The hotel was nice generally. The room we were in had a couch with some unidentifiable stains, and the wifi didn't reach our room. The bed was fine though. It was sufficient for a night's stay.

The property was good, in general, but we were somewhat perplexed by the room arrangement. Normally, the bed faces the t.v., but in this case it was arranged to the side. Also, there was a $20 charge for parking (plus a $4 tourism tax) but the facility was not secured by a fence. Instead, there was a gate which raised when a ticket was accessed upon entering, but the exit gate was wide open. No security at all in a very dangerous neighborhood near the airport.

The hotel charges $20 for daily parking. Did not pay attention to this charge while booking. This is the first time I got charged for hotel parking. Shocking. The lobby is renewed but the room is not, old, dingy, but clean enough for a overnight stay.

The front desk clerks & bellman were great. The rooms need remodeling. Not up to the Marriott standard. The location is frightening. My lyft driver was excellent. The coffee pot didn't work in my room.

I like this particular Courtyard because of the location. It's out of the way and at the same time it's easy to get to. Even on public transportation. I also like the rooms. They're clean. The hotel is quiet. And the staff is professional . Two things I didn't like was the rooms didn't have alarm clocks and the TV were missing the Marriott Bonvoy channels.

Room was clean and roomy. Check in staff was friendly. I checked in about 6PM, a little after 8 it sounded like someone was trying to open our door, I was not sure if I was being paranoid or if it was our neighbors door. A few minutes later the phone in the room rings, I answer they hang up. A few minutes later the phone rings again it is the front desk, they were asking me my name what time I checked in and who checked me in. I gave them the info I could but I didn’t remember the young ladies name, then she asked me what she looked like. Almost felt like she was interrogating me. The then said they had not fully checked me in and she took care of it. A few min later the phone rings again and they hang up when I answer. The next morning I went to lobby to check if I was still ok for late checkout and if my shuttle to airport was scheduled. The lady at the front acted like I was bothering her but she said I was all set. I went back up to my room and my keys did not work on door. I went back down and told her and said it may have been because my room was accidentally given to someone else. Again she seemed annoyed fixed my keys and handed them back. I went back to room went out to breakfast came back and everything was ok. About 10:30 AM i went down to micro market and there was new lady at front desk. I paid for my stuff, told her about the incident the night before and she was very apologetic. I decided to ask about late check out and shuttle again and it was not done.

Hotel was good with two exceptions. I recall the original Hotel.com description said they had an airport shuttle for the short ride to the Oakland Airport. That was a major reason I booked the Marriott Courtyard. Turns out there is no shuttle. They will however contact Lyft (only)directly to arrange a ride for you and pay for it. Arriving, I did not know this and paid for Lyft, but they don't do reimbursements. For departure, they booked a Lyft for 5 am, but I got a message from Lyft directly that they did not have a driver available, so I paid for my own Uber which showed up 4 mins later. Also, there is no coffee or snacks available in the lobby at any time. And the in-room coffee (Keurig) only came with two very small bottles of water. The desk clerk did give me a pint bottle of water when I arrived back at the hotel late in the evening. But, I would stay there again for the price and location (works for me)

Check in was very easy and our airport Lyft was scheduled for us. The cafe gentleman was very helpful with our late night dinner and making sure our toddler received his food first and then he back first thing in the morning and went out of his way to give the toddler french fries after the cafe was closed and then made me avocado toast. He went above and beyond and we were very greatful.

My TV didn't work and it took almost an hour for Engineering to come and diagnose the problem (a bad TV). they quickly brought me a new one. Logging onto the free internet was a problem, but I was assured that by clicking 'paid internet' I was still getting it for free. We'll see when I check out. I was also surprised with a $20 parking fee....grrrr! Maybe this was on the initial page when I chose the hotel, but if so, I missed it.

I should have rated this hotel a 5, but because of a rude attitude of 1 staff, it affects the reputation of Marriot hotel. We had a plumbing problem around 12 midnight so I called the front desk. The first “hello” was already sounding irritated. I told her about the problem, “So, you wanted to transfer room” I suggested we’ll try it first w/ a plunger. “We don’t have a plunger. This is not a 5 star hotel.” Very rude. No explanation at all of how to transfer to another room, what room are we transferring to. So, I asked again. Very rudely she said, “you have to come down & get the keys from me.” This situation should have been fixed or dealt with if she was calm & nice on how she talks. She definitely needs some coaching on customer service especially if she is assigned in the front desk, the reception area. Btw, her name is Theo.

The location is very suspect even for Oakland. I paid $20 for parking and they offered no liability for property, if you charge for parking you should share liability at least. Rooms were poorly maintained but new enough it was OK. Kitchen was out of commission and you CANT walk anywhere to eat. Bright spot every employee was super friendly and helpful.

The hotel was gated and that felt safe considering the area of Hegenberger is known for being a "bad" part of town. The hotel was super close to Oakland Arena, which is why I chose it and it was a perfect location for attending an event there. All in all, very happy with the staff, location, and safety of the hotel for the location that it is in.

Great customer service at the front desk! Very helpful and answered my questions. The Bistro had menu items that catered to my plant based eating which I really appreciated. The mediterranean grain bowl was delicious as well as the tomato soup! Chelsey was absolutely a doll and so friendly and accommodated my requests. My stay, while short, was enjoyable. Your place was great - the free shuttle to airport- excellent desk help. The only drawback was your bistro kitchen was out of almost everything Sunday night - and the area is not conducive for something to eat without a car. If the bistro would have had food - 5 stars all around. Thanks.

Perfect for an overnight layover. The outdoor pool was great, with lovely landscaping. The guy serving breakfast was overworked due to lack of staff, but incredibly friendly and good at his job. The person at the front desk in the early morning was not quite as friendly, but maybe she was just having a rough day. If you’re going to have a coffee machine in the room, there should be regular coffee pods available. Decaf pods don’t count.

Check-in was easy and Front desk staff was very nice. Arranged for a Lyft to the airport, which showed up right as scheduled. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint about the stay was the breakfast dining opened 30 minutes late, so we had to eat at the airport.
