What an unexpected surprise! We were traveling to visit family in Oakland with two adults and two 6 1/2-year-olds. Our double queen size room was huge and the pullout sofa even made it even better. The separated toilet was so helpful. The room was on the ground floor and our patio door opened up to a beautiful view of San Francisco Bay. The kids could run around on the grass outside and blow bubbles! The staff was outstanding. Not just cheerful, but also made sure we got everything we needed. Thank you to Mele, Kayla, Anahi and Daniela. They made our trip better than we expected. Note:there’s a navy base across the water and they blow revelry and taps each day. We are a military family, so that made us smile. Also, the pool and the hot tub were much enjoyed by the kids.

The hotel was nice and clean, but smelled like weed constantly. It says there is a pool and continental breakfast, but it does not say that it is at the hotel next-door. You are also charged $17 a night to park your car and they warn you there’s a chance it’ll get broken into because it’s an issue there.

Was scenic and could be nicer as the area was pretty rough the water view was nice other then the mattress along the shore. Room was clean and nice. Hot tub hets didnt work and had to goto the next hotel for the pool and hottub.

Great family stay for all of us. The rooms have plenty of space, good views and small pool and spa area. There's a small walkway by the water and a couple of fishing piers. Plenty of parking and feels very safe. The Lounge at their sister hotel seems like a nice place for drinks and good steak or salmon dinner.

Excellent hotel and staff. Everything was clean and top notch. Breakfast was great. The rooms were very quiet and comfortable. The only downside is we had to pay daily for parking.

Very accomodating. Decent breakfast and allows for to go. Great view of water to do some work or to relax. Walking distance from starbucks and a great ramen place. Electric vehicle charging works great. Coffee and hot tea available all day. Rooms are clean and the location is decent. There are some homeless in the near vicinity but they mind their own business. Only complaint is the wifi does cut on and off.

This is such a fantastic hotel. We loved the full service breakfast every morning, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The view out the back was fantastic, I only wish the pool and hot tub were closer.

The facility looks nice. Unfortunately, we had ants in the bathroom, on the desk and on the coffee table. The tv worked fine until the picture went black and there was only audio. Right before we checked out the lights started flickering in the bathroom. We told management about the issues and they were apologetic. They comp’d our $17 parking fee.

The place is nice. The rooms are big, and the hotel has a beautiful view of Alameda. The other side of Embarcadero is a mess. Although to no fault of the hotel, having an open parking lot on that side, is not the best idea. Our room service was not great either. The beds were never made. I guess the personnel new we were staying several nights, so I gues they figured why make the bed? Very strange. I probably would not stay there again. I think for $200 a night, I can do better.

Fridge was leaking when we arrived. Dead ants on the baseboard. Bed skirt had looks like old food on it, throw pillows had stains. Supposed to be a bar and restaurant that wasn't opened during our stay. The main reason for our stay there. We had business in San Francisco where we could have stayed. We was given drink and food coupons that couldn't be used. Was told we would get a 15% off our room that didn't happen. The view from our room of the lake was very nice. Had to go to the hotel next door for breakfast. Breakfast was good.

Last year we stayed in a corner room on the water front, it was large and bright and we had a great experience. This year we stayed on the "city view" side and it was a completely different experience. "City View" means the freeway and an encampment, the room was smaller and so were the beds. It was a bit of a depressing room.

I stay in hotels 10 to 20 times per year and this is one of my favorite places to stay. The water view rooms with a balcony are great. Rooms clean and the bathrooms are great as well. Tub can fit 2 people and the shower is spacious.

The rooms were amazing - clean and super spacious, and we loved the balconies with views of the water! Our only issue was how thin the walls were. We had a connecting room with people not in our party and we could hear EVERYTHING they said and did, whether it be talking to each other in a normal voice, yelling at each other, blending drinks or watching TV. 😂 Kind of amusing until we wanted to go to sleep. We loved the rooms but it was a bummer that we couldn’t go to sleep when we wanted to due to the noise!

Lovely rooms with water views and a spacious bathtub. Possibly our favorite Oakland hotel. DoorDash delivered to the door and we ate dinner in the balcony with sunset sparkling over the water.

Called ahead to see if I would be able to check in a couple hours early and the staff was very nice and accommodating. When I arrived, not only could I check in early with no extra fee, but they also upgraded my room as well! Everyone was extremely kind and the room itself was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area! Highly recommend!

Had huge line to get checked in. Only one person sitting down to do this and there was a big Baseball game. Our room was very nice. Not set up for our kid though to sleep. Not hotels fault but person above us paced for 7 hours and took 4 showers which were so loud that we thought our water was running. Overnight person at desk did call them and acted right away. It lasted for 2 hours then Mr. High heels decided to start pacing again! Horrid sleep and we were here for an event this morning and now have to drive back to LA exhausted. Again not fault of hotel.

This is our second stay at the property. First stay was great, front desk attendant (didn't get her name but she had purple hair if I recall correctly) was super nice and friendly, our room was good, first floor near the coffee and beverage machine was a plus. Second stay was disappointing, we got there after midnight (I had called ahead to make them aware of our late check in) desk clerk was super unfriendly, we did not get not one smile from her, almost like she didn't care. Also as we were walking out to get our luggage, there was a guy walking the parking lot with a "call girl" which is something we didn't want to see being that we were staying there as a family. Also on our first day there, we left the room for a bit and when we came back to it there was a very potent weed smell, came from the vents maybe? Not sure, but that was disappointing.

We are repeat visitors to this property because of cleanliness, comfort, beauty, and safety. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. This visit was because of a loved one’s funeral. I had some of the best sleep I’d had in a long time— something that can be difficult during periods of intense grief. The view of the Embarcadero is beautiful and comforting. This remains our preferred hotel for stays in the Bay Area.

The room above me was noisy until 3 or 4am and the front desk acted like I had a problem when I asked them to please talk with the guests about quieting down. After no improvement an hour later I asked for a different room just so that I could sleep. The overnight manager treated me with disgust as she handed the keys to me and told me to move my belongings. I gave up and stayed in my room - lost 3-4 hours of sleep. Lesson learned - stay on the top floor.

The hotel turned out to be better than expected. The room and bathroom was spacious. I would have given this hotel a better rating, except on the last night of our stay, our car, along with 4 others, had their windows broken by thieves. The property has security that patrol the parking lot, but I guess they were sleeping on the job or something.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. However, the area just a few blocks away is very unsafe. Someone tried to break into our car in a well-lit, busy shopping center while me & my kids were inside it. When they saw we were in they broke into the car next to us and found out later at least 1 other car.

Staff are friendly. Clean room.First room was a little smelly, but we were able to switch room the next day. Same breakfast every day. No coffee machines. If you need decaf, go get it from Starbucks, which is 10 minutes walk. Their coffee pods is just OK. Parking is good, for $17 a day.

I booked this Hotel for my son and I to stay somewhere with a pool and spa. The pool was not very clean and the spa was broken. The English Muffin I had for breakfast had mold on it. The room itself was really pretty but if I wanted to sit a room all day I would have saved the money and stayed at home. My son wouldn't even get in the pool. He said it was nasty.

Great water view!! Service was great!! The lady that did the breakfast did an excellent job taking care of us!! Special thanks to her!! Room was very nice ! Bed very comfy!! Only thing was bar and restaurant is in the next hotel over but other than that it was good!!
