Inn At Truckee

Nice easy to access and basic but well kept property. Unfortunately the hot tube was out of order during our stay but otherwise was a good and very convenient experience.

My room was on the 3rd floor. Nowhere was it mentioned that there is NO elevator.

Laundry facilities on-site. Coin operated - $1.25 to wash; $1.00 to dry. Very polite and friendly, and very helpful front-desk staff. Great continental breakfast and 24-hour coffee and tea machine, with hot chocolate, as well. Safe/secure facility. Very comfortable bed, nice tub/shower. Pump soaps and shampoo. TART Connect, a free on-call public transit door-to-door van service with very helpful drivers helping with luggage. I enjoyed my 2 nights there immensely! A great recommendation and price from Expedia!

No pool.

Good hotel with enough amenities. Room service is not provided every day. Continental breakfast with 24/7 coffee machine. Rooms are quiet and pet friendly.

No elevator but really nice interior and staff. Leaky noisy drafty old windows need replacing. Beautiful setting.

Nice motel-style inn. A couple issues include no coffee in the room and a long line for a coffee maker in the lobby, an overly soft bed, and the hot tub/sauna are closed for maintenance- unsure if ever to re-open. Location is good though and rooms are clean.

Apparently the hot tub has been under construction for over a year. We saw a post from over a year ago about the hot tub being under construction so we assumed it would be working. But we got the same response that it was under construction.

Great stay. 4 day wknd ski trip to Palisades/Tahoe. Was able to leave the car in the lot and take the free TART park and ride shuttle from Truckee (20 min walk). Breakfast was good. 24 hr Nescafe coffee/espresso machine a terrific amenity ... much appreciated! All front desk staff were helpful & courteous. WiFi great. On site coin laundry. Stores and restaurants 5 min walk. Will return!

Parking spaces were limited so we ended up parking on the street. "Continental breakfast" means microwave breakfast sandwiches and other pre-packaged items. The 24 hours coffee was nice. Had to run the AC fan all night to block out noise from the freeway.

I would give it a 4 stars but the cleaning chemicals were so strong in the room and the hallway I could hardly breathe.

My room and bathroom was dirty and carpet same..

This property was not well maintained at all I asked when I got to the lobby if the rooms were clean and she assured me they were I got a room with two clean beds and the one bed on the top. You can tell that somebody had been sitting on there and soiled it, and when I pulled the sheep back, it looked like somebody had slept in it. The floors had carpet, and it looked like somebody had eaten and left food and bedded in the carpet. There was particles of food not small, but big I thought it was popcorn I don’t really know what it was , the traffic from the 80 freeway was continuous all night long. There was no hand soap so I had to use a cleansing bar to wash my hands. I didn’t even take a shower. It was that bad and slept in my clothes. I woke up my back was an excruciating pain. The mattress is way too big for the bed , there were smeared prints all over the handles. The light switches the consul and when I woke up, my face is full of bug bites along with parts of my body. I complained and I was told why didn’t I let them know it was a Friday night too I didn’t know I’d be bit by a bunch of bugs until I woke up the next morning and three there was a second bed so I slept in that of course I use no sheets no pillows nothing the door to get into the hotel on the side was never secured or locked. It’s a shame. I think it could be a great property. The staff wouldn’t return my money not even half of it so I would say twice.

There was trash and an empty water bottle under the bed. The room had been "made up," but was not clean.

Overall the place was fine except that they seem to own stock in disinfectant and possibly hose down every surface with it on an hourly basis. The disinfectant smell was so overpowering in the lobby and just as bad in the room. I had to leave the window open for 5 hours just to air it out enough to not be sick.

The Inn needs some updating. Carpet was in need of good cleaning and/or replacement, window in our room didn’t slide open, slight odor in room, not sure from what and a very noisy AC unit. Provided decent options for take away breakfast and the staff was very friendly.

The carpet was very worn and dirty in the whole place. After just walking around barefooted in the bedroom one night (after I had showered), my feet felt sticky and when I washed them (again) with the washcloth, it was brown. Gross. The metal cover on the bathroom door jam had two nails sticking up (nailed in crooked) and I stepped on them noticing. Very sloppy work, could cause a cut on someone's feet. The breakfast choices were pitiful. Needs improvement.

front staff was friendly, efficient. We were there on NY day. There was obviously a party the night before because there was still confetti everywhere -- in the hallways, in the room, on the floors. This is an older hotel which obviously needs an update. The carpets were old and dirty and we could not walk around the room in bare feet. The room could benefit from a deep clean.

Easy to access from the highway. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were clean. The refrigerator and microwave worked, and the room was spacious. The carpet in common areas was very dirty and the overall vibe was of a space long used. There was a small shopping center within an easy walk. No elevator.

Room was a bit small, but fine for one person. Room is also dated, but bed was comfortable. There was no thermostat in the room, so had to adjust temperature manually.

Beds are too small and there is no closet, bathroom can’t be locked from inside, too much traffic noise.

Good clean room and nice staff. I like the automated coffee machine to get my long cappuccino with some oranges and apples for breakfast. Only downside is the room doesn’t have a closet to hang our ski jackets. Just one small cubby side hanger drawer with the microwave and fridge. Maybe an hanger on the wall would have helped. :) Otherwise, great room that’s close to Palisades and Northstar.

Room was clean and nice. Front desk staff was friendly and professional. The mattress was absolutely terrible. Same with the Pillows. The bedding as a woile needs a Update. Wife and I got terrible sleep. Also there is O staff on site at night. The room above us partied all night with no one to tell them to chill it out.

Lots of road noise

Loved the 24hr coffee beverages. The room was a little small and didn't have a closet. Would have liked one comfortable chair to sit in, so I didn't just have to sit on the bed to read or watch TV.

Convenient for skiing in Tahoe. Friendly staff, comfy beds. But quite noisy from the highway and other guests. Walls and ceilings are thin- try to get a room upstairs. Also: so much grey, brown (in the bathroom!!!) and beige; a bit depressing. Bring some color to the place!

Staff were so nice. Booked again the day we checked out.

Room card did not work and afterhours assistance was lacking.

Property is convenient for the Truckee area. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. The staff person in the evening was nice and even directed us to her parking spot when we came back late our second night. Other staff were not friendly and I was given the impression that I was in the way. Overall, I recommend this property.

All roads including Interstate 80 were closed leading to Truckee early afternoon due to snow/winter storm. Clerk called to confirm if I was able to make the stay, which I wasn't, and promptly cancelled the reservation because she had travelers stranded in Truckee due to road conditions and wanted to give them a room for the night. I appreciated her honesty, she communicated well and was very pleasant over the phone under those conditions and I was happy I could help other travelers caught in the travel mess!

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall it was a great stay at a great price!

Noisy and no personnel in the night

Dropped a 20 dollar bill in the hallway and they notified me, in order to come pick it up at the front desk. Amazing staff. Thank you.

The staff at check in was extremely nice.

The property was recently updated and clean. The front desk person had four dogs with her and was on the phone chatting (not with a customer) each time I entered the lobby. Even though I put the "Please Make-up My Room" sign on the door, no one did anything. I asked the front desk person about this and she told me that housekeeping doesn't enter the rooms. She told me they are short-staffed and don't make-up rooms and I could "take it up with the GM". The room I had was on the same side as Highway 80. It sounded like the window was open (even though it was closed) and the cars going by were extremely loud. The sauna and spa were "out-of-order" and could not be used.

Great location and a short drive to Lake Tahoe. Facilities and room clean.

We had requested early check in, but this was not acknowledged and we had to wait an hour in order for our rooms to be available. The accomodations were standard, but the area was extremely safe with several restaurants within walking distance. The parking and hotel property were very well maintained with excellent lighting. Definitely a keeper on our list!

Great spot for Boreal. Pleasant staff. Not far from downtown. I will stay here again

Stayed at the inn in Truckee for a lacrosse tournament. It was convenient Clean and easy to get in and out of since it was right off of the freeway.

It was convenient to locations and eating establishments. It is right off the freeway which wasn’t great, but we would go back again.

Terrific 4 night stay in Truckee. My 3rd in past few years. Older, but v. well-maintained, clean, & comfortable inn. Very convenient. Two shopping centers within 100 yards. Groceries, restaurants, CVS etc all within easy walking distance. Free TART stop for bus to-and-from Palisades/Tahoe and throughout Truckee an easy 10 min walk; no need to hassle with pkng at Palisades. Dowtown historic Truckee itself is only a 20 min walk. The inn is quiet, & has free breakfast, and 24 hr coffee service in the common area near fireplace.Lots of families. Comfortable bed. Great WiFi and cable TV. Friendly and helpful front desk. Price is about the lowest you'll find in the area, and a terrific bargain.

Covenant to the freeway and stores .

An okay place to stay close to the major roads. Easy access to the Tahoe Basin

Convenient location just off I-80 on Hwy.89 (Tahoe direction). Easy acess to downtown Truckee or the other direction to Tahoe City. Quiet when we were there... it's October and everyone here is waiting for snow to fall.

The inn is conveniently located a few hundred feet off highway 80. Despite this proximity, it is very quite. We had no traffic noise in the room (#310). Accommodations are basic / rustic. The room is not updated and a little rundown, but it is clean and provides the necessities for a short stay. The inn istself is very basic as well, but in good working condition. There is a bar / brewery and a little convenince store a few steps away. Breakfast is very basic and we skipped it in favor of local diners. The staff is friendly and efficient. We stayed 2 nights and the room was not turned over. Not sure why. Not a big deal for our needs though. Overall a convenient stay and less expensive than other spots, especially on ski break week.

Let’s face it, the hotel has seen better days but you know, it was clean. What more can you ask for? The breakfast was super basic and largely forgettable.

service was excellent and good accommodations for the price. the breakfast was underwhelming, consisting of prepackaged foods to be heated in the lone microwave. if there's more than a few people, expect to take your food back to your room. overall pretty clean but slightly dated.

The price was good. Staff was friendly. The room was pretty small. The staff provided one bath towel for two people. On mornings that were busy with guests at breakfast, staff did not re-fill breakfast items.

Small hotel that's easy and convenient. The building is a little worn but the rooms are clean and the staff is nice. Good morning coffee and breakfast in the small lobby was a nice touch. Freeway noise could be an issue if you're on the 2nd floor. I slept well however

The hotel is cute and very centrally located. We enjoyed the breakfast variety (bagels, cream cheese, jam & honey, muffins, waffles and breakfast sandwiches - but all are the frozen variety), and the nice coffee machine for fancy drinks. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows were not very comfortable (not bad, just not great), and at breakfast everything was or packed in so much plastic. But overall, a good experience.

Our family loved it, the breakfast is small and perfect with a variety of things, fruits, yogurt, eggs. The workers are very kind and bilingual.
