Scott at the desk was AMAZING & The beds were fairly comfortable. HOWEVER- The pool and hot tub were “out of order,” the tennis and basketball courts were cracked and unusable. We found trash under the bathroom vanity from a previous guest, and housekeeping never showed up when we followed the procedure of having to request service. No matter how great Scott was, we will not be back and the Sheraton corp needs to either take their name off this hotel or POUR $ in to bring it up to standards we expect from a Sheraton. Stay away.

Convenient location within walking distance or a short drive to the harbor, ocean, restaurants, etc. parking is $12 per car though there is some street parking behind the hotel. Jacuzzi has a nice domed glass structure giving privacy and keeping out wind and leaves.

We did not like the parking at all. It is a small lot that is extremely far from many of the rooms, including ours. my husband could;dn't even drive closer to our room to help me with my disability. plus, they charge $12 a night! we will not stay here again.

Dog friendly hotel, this is a must! Well kept grounds, area for dog to do their business, friendly staff, quiet for the most part minus the road bumps where our room was the cars go over them fast and makes loud sounds, we had dinner there to go, no room service options (you can order but you pick up your own food), food for dinner wasn’t the greatest, but would stay there again!

It was a great room for our trip. Only disappointment was that the pool and spa was not available due to construction, we were advised we could use the pool and spa at the sister hotel down the way but that was an inconvenience. It was just me and the husband this weekend and we do agree we want to return with the adult children and grandchildren in the future. Being able to walk the harbor at night was fabulous day dreaming about owning one of the yacht out there. We had a great view of the harbor from the rooms balcony where we just sat and talked enjoying it and taking it all in. Weather was great sleep with the door open on the balcony didn’t even have to use the air conditioner. Nice trip all around. Great location. Will be returning.

I specifically booked this hotel because it says it has a pool and jacuzzi however upon check in I was informed that both were shut down for maintenance. When I asked why guests are not informed of this ahead of time the staff member said it’s on their website which is untrue. The staff member comped my parking fee $12 as if it was a great thing. In addition, there was screaming and fighting in the middle of the night in the hallway and you could hear through the walls. It was a poor stay & I would not have stayed here if the hotel would have informed their pool & jacuzzi had been shut down for over a month. Poor customer service.

our room #234 was not clean. the carpet felt like it had not been vacuumed in a long time. my wife and I walked barefoot in the room and the bottom of our feet turned brown with the dirt that came off the carpet. we were very disappointed with the condition of the room.

I don’t think anyone reads this but here goes, I expected a cleaner room from a “four points Sheraton” there was mold and grime in the shower along the shower door and corners. The hand sink handles had gross buildup on the bottom of the handles. I had to fix the toilet when I arrived because it wasn’t working. The power button on the remote didn’t work, I had to turn it on and off manually. I know this is and older hotel and you can tell, lots of touch up needed in the rooms. The bed and pillow were comfortable but 2 pillows needed to be replaced.

Looks are very deceiving from the pictures online. It is not an indoor hotel. You walk into the lobby and then take the elevator upstairs to the rooms. The rooms are actually outdoors. Not what I was expecting at all. Although the sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was very basic. The bathrooms are very outdated as well as the room itself. The bathroom Too clean. There was random pieces of other peoples hair in my restroom. Would not stay here again

Booked my hotel days in advance. I get there at check in @3 pm they tell me my room wasn't ready, long story short. I didnt get my room till 5pm (2hrs later) then the room wasn't clean there were stains in the carpet dirty sheets and ran across a spider. I got another room without spiders and there were still stains in the carpet. For this hotel to be rated a ☆☆☆ hotel with those conditions they should be rated way less then that!

Glad I got to stay at this hotel. Picked it for the location since it was close to the harbor. Close to great food and deep sea winery. Room was big and well appointed. Stayed in room 314. Clean and functional. Mini fridge, coffeemaker and microwave were great amenities. Plus the huge balcony overlooking Ventura Harbor Village. Could use a bit of minor maintenance as the screen was detached. Beware that dumpsters are exchanged early in the morning. Holiday inn next door has free breakfast so that might make it worth staying there next time since it was the same room rate.

I checked in about 10:00 pm. The room was extremely cold. The heat/AC unit is on a wall in a dark corner of the room. I had to sit on the floor in front of it and push random unlabeled buttons in order to figure out how to set the temperature so that it would start heating the room. The unit was very loud and the room was so cold that it took several hours of listening to its grinding noise before the room reached a comfortable temperature and it subsided to coming on and grinding only periodically. The lighting was the worst I have ever seen in a hotel--one tiny, dim lamp on the desk and two dim lights between the beds. The lighting in the bathroom and dressing room were fine. The toilet handle stuck so the toilet continued to run if you forgot to give it an extra wiggle when you flushed it. Only one coffee cup was provided to use with the coffee maker and it was so oversized that you couldn't get it out from under the coffee maker without spilling coffee. The artwork on the wall looks like they picked it up at the tail end of a yard sale. That's a minor thing but it just added to the irritations of the rest of the room. The staff was friendly. Check-in and check-out was fast and efficient. That doesn't make up for everything else, though. Another guest told me her room had all the same problems. It was a pretty shabby experience for a hotel with the Sheraton name on it. I expected better.

Small things made the trip less enjoyable - the bathroom door was hard to open/close and the lock didn’t work, the front door was so loud and disturbing when we opened it and when our neighbors opened it, the large towels in the bathroom were too small and thin for comfort, and we could hear walking our upstairs neighbors walk around more than usual. Overall, we could feel how old the place was.

We really loved that we could walk to the marina. We loved the hot tub and pool area. The lobby bar was small but nice to have. The room, bathroom and beddings were a bit old but were clean.

Everything was great! Check-in was busy but once it was my turn, it was quick. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved that the room had a patio with a nice view. Walked to the Harbor and it was about a 20 minute walk which is kinda far for me but I survived :-) . Ordered a cheeseburger, chocolate cake, and clam chowder from the hotel restaurant. It was ready for pick up quickly and the clam chowder was delicious! Overall, great stay.

I paid in advance for a kingbed room type and I was given two doubles. the staff was very rude when I complained and essentially said that it was my mistake to book through a third party rather than direct. No remedy was offered except to cancel my reservation. You also have to pay for parking. Unpleasant stay.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding group. At check in I was not provided w/info re: the “resort”amenities or where to park. I guessed the info would be in the room. I also was not told a deposit would be added to my CC when I checked in. My room also had zero info re dining, the gym, tennis courts, map, restaurant info etc. Still don’t know if they offer room service. Looked at the guide on the tv: no info there either except for affiliated hotels. Room was basic, carpet not so clean. There was nicer shampoo & conditioner provided in the bathroom and hand soap & hand lotion @ the sink. I came back from the wedding and there was a group of loud kids in the room next door. Their room door did not have the mechanism that makes it close slowly instead of slamming shut. There were about 6 kids going in and out almost constantly and slamming the door loudly. At one point they were tackling each other outside and slammed loudly into my hotel room door 2-3x. They were so loud I could hear what they were saying i.e “I’m going back to the liquor store what do you want, no text it don’t scream it at me OMG.” I dont normally make a complaint but I did finally call the front desk. 30 min later no change. I call again. I’m told i’m mistaken it’s the bride and groom’s room. I said No, it’s not I’m BFF w/mother of bride, they’re on other floor. Front desk continues gaslighting me til almost 1:30 am b4 they finally check in person. Unacceptable to wait 3 hrs to respond to complaint

Not only did the front desk not know how to check in guest, There was no water in the am, no coffee or breakfast The second morning asked about coffee all container’s weee empty, asked for coffee the front desk said sure however they never refilled for filled the coffee. Never offered any accommodations for the no water issue or coffee Never recommend this hotel to anyone

Beautiful property right at the marina in Ventura! Had a lovely view of the marina from our balcony. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and will be back soon hopefully!

Very close to ventura harbor village which has shopping and dining. Andrias seafood restaurant and market serves excellant seafood. Very causul and very popular. Its about a mile from the hotel. A must try. The sheraton offers check in via phone but the hotel is not yet setup to honor checkin that way. I found this out when I arrived at the hotel and had to re checkin. Also one elavator only goes to the second floor and the other one goes to the 3rd floor. The elavator that goes to the 3rd floor not working properly and I had to use the elavator that goes to the 2nd floor and walk up stairs to 3rd floor. I reported this to the staff and they were notifying the maintenance staff of the problem. I choose to walk down the stairs in the morning when I checked out because I didn't know if the elavator was fixed or not. I have stayed here before and never had this problem before. Fortunately I had an overnite bag and not a suitcase.

I was at a conference there and everything was great. Proximity to the city was also good. The only problem is their latte machine was broken for a couple days which was a bummer especially for those early mornings.
