Motel 6-Colorado Springs, CO - Air Force Academy

You must fix the cement steps on the office side of the building that walk up to the 2nd floor. It is broken off and at night you are open to falling. A lawsuit waiting to happen.

When we arrive the front desk staff on the night shift was very nice. She helped me get checked in and was very cordial. The issues arose once we got done with registration. There was absolutely no parking! When I say absolutely, no parking, I mean absolutely zero parking anywhere! We ended up asking where to park and they put us in an emergency handicap, load and unload ramp area. There are other solutions to park on the main road around the corner where it was blind. They had a couple fixing to cars in the parking lot and a large machine taking up for spaces. If you’re going to have that the number of rooms, you should at least have one parking space per room. The room itself was just ok. The toilet seat was broken. There was mold around the bathtub corners. The bed was Sandy or gritty under the sheets and there was only two pills per bed making sleeping for four people difficult.

Ice machines and elevators don't work

The customer service was good staff were friendly. The washing machine that they had for travelers was broken. The toilet seat in the room was barely hanging on by one bolt. But the room was clean.

Had to climb 3 flights of stairs with all of our luggage as well as a heavy dog crate. Elevator was broken and seemed to be for some time. NOT handicapped accessible at all because of this.

The property was nice to some degree. Stairs to get to upper floors had chipped, loose concrete that made it a little unstable to walk on. Appearance was a little low quality in some areas i.e. paint was peeling off doors, smoke detector in room was dangling down, crooked lampshades, etc. Safe area and really convenient location for amenities were a plus. Rooms were clean and acceptable for staying overnight.

The stairs are unsafe. Broken and uneven. Hazardous.

Remodeled recently does have laundry in lobby it takes quarters

Elevator still being worked on Room one the television had no signal Room two the next night the HVAC did not work But as we all know you get what you pay for - had a bed / a shower / towels and a toilet - so lets call it good

Elevator broken and the steps are crumbling and a hazard. Room partially remodeled but the shower handle broken and you had to flush the toilet 3 times before it would work

Maria the manager is very attentive and professional. She takes care of problems if you bring it to her attention. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Traffic noise during the day, but quiet at night. We elected to stay longer in one of their long stay rooms

Room smelled like cigarette smoke despite being a "smoke free property." Room was not thoroughly cleaned and there was someone's hairs in the shower. Very unpleasant stay. However, the staff I encountered were friendly.

Waited 30 minutes in line to check in. While checking in, a few unsavory people tried checking and they were told the hotel was sold out. Got into my room and found hair all over the floors, the walls, and in the bathtub, but since I had heard the hotel was sold out, had to stick with it. Found gross dirt and grim behind the mattress when I dropped my phone as well as a bottle cap from who knows how long ago. (Happy to send pictures) The towels were stained and smelled as if they were not cleaned. I don't think the room itself was cleaned prior to my arrival. There were people lurking in the parking lot asking for money to pay for their room. At 7am there was stomping outside of my room and screaming. I found out later that the employee that told the unsavory people that the hotel was sold out, only told them that because she didn't want them to stay there. So I could have had a different room. Staff seemed over it.

The staff was great. The room was terrible. The beds weren’t comfortable. The room was dirty. There was pee on the toilet seat. The floors were dirty.

Each bed had a light blanket which made it very cold to sleep, even with the heater set on 70. Would have been nice if there were extra blankets in the room or a comforter on the beds.Floors looked dirty (needing a good sweeping and mopping). Floors very gritty. Was impressed by clean and welcoming lobby but disappointed with the amount of trash on the sidewalks and near outside trash bins. Would be nice if pet owners would PLEASE PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOGS!

Bed linen was not clean. Bed comfort was satisfying.

Bed 1: Had blood stains on both pillows and on the sheets. Bed 2: Under the pillows were big yellow stains where the head would lay. Bathroom entry way: Door frame was disgusting and the light switch was nasty. The door had stains all over it. Towels: Yellow stains in multiple spots all over each towel (6 total). Towels were full of long black hair. I made a complaint to the front desk and the clerk was super nice. She was apologetic and came to the room to take pictures of the pillows, the sheets, and the towels. The clerk gave me new towels, however they were worse than the ones I originally started with. I left the sheets the clerks came to replace and the cleaning crew did replace the sheets, however they took the 2nd round of disgusting towels and didn't replace them. I got back to the room later in the evening and was left with a face towel and 2 midsize towels. The thing that stood out to me was the sticker on the door, "CLEAN ROOM." My room was far from clean to the point where I took it upon myself to clean my room so that I would feel comfortable. Needless to day, day 1 I lost sleep. Day 2 I was soooo tired I passed out, but I felt a notch better from day 1. The staff were all nice and I don't blame them, they are there to do a job and if they are not provided with the supplies necessary to do their job effectively and equipment that will clean linens properly, who is at fault? I would be glad to chat with someone the better improve customers experience.

The room was so dirty. I had to tell my daughter to leave her shoes on because the floor looked gross. The sheets were clean, but the bathtub was dirty and the towels had dog hair on them. I was anxious the whole time because it was dirty.

It was the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in. Every surface including floor, chairs, and switches were sticky/dirty. And a cleaner smell that was horrible. The front desk said all rooms smell like that because they use the same cleaner in all. After 2.5 hours we were able to switch to a clean and smell free room. They did allow us to switch rooms, so I didn't rate a 1 star. That and staff was great.

Very clean property with friendly staff. I felt safe during my entire trip. I would come again.

Safe area, nice staff. Walls are thin & I had noisy neighbors.

The view is amazing. The room was comfortable.

Super comfy king-sized bed. Clean floors and bathroom. A view of Pike's Peak. Dog friendly and right next to a Schlotzsky's!

Noise

The beds were terrible here with springs sticking out of the frame and made horrible noises all night long every time I tossed and turned. I thought it was odd that there was no shampoo or soaps, even though I didnt need it , cheap hotels offer that. There was only 2 really flat pillows per bed, and when I asked for more we were given blankets and told no pillows. the room was clean, but I didn't care because the whole family woke up miseable from no sleep.

Looked like several people lived there - loud music and smoking right outside their doors.

Expectations not high for the price, however the Motel 6 brand here just was not up to par. Older building w/ band-aids. Amongst many highway side motels, hotels w/ busy, noise at night due to location.

Worse mattress i have ever slept on and the pillows were dead

Staff were friendly, quick check in and the property was clean. The outside of the building appeared to need some upkeep. Railings could use some paint and the roof looked like it could use replacing. The room was quiet, clean and everything seemed in good repair. There is plenty of shopping and dining options in the area. The property was easy to find find from the I-25 freeway.

This was a comfortable hotel! The room was big! The bed was was great. There are people staying in the 'studio' side of the hotel that are homeless. (Two separate buildings - Motel 6 AND Studio Six. Everyone needs to know these things as they're booking, but the site isn't telling travelers.

The staff were wonderful, kind, and accommodating. The room was very clean and the hotel is situated very close to restaurants, gas stations, and other types of shopping that one may need. Five stars all the way around.

Veey clean motel and staff was super helpful and nice!

It was great , I stay often but I may start to go somewhere else because the morning gentlemen is no help and rude and the even evening lady needs to relax and chill out, she is something else, last time I came she wa already outside in parking lot amd I was gong to check in and when I opened my car door, she said only guests if you’re not a guest you need to leave , she watched me pull up and I had to see if rooms were available then check in and she did the same thing to my buddy who was going to split the hotel room with me, we ended up going somewhere else, she is so rude she must be morning dude mother or something

The woman at the front desk retracted her statement on the status of the nonfunctioning tv. In other words, she indirectly called me a liar. No attempt was made to satisfy the customer. Just rude.

Friendly staff

Absolutely terrible customer service - our flights were delayed and when we finally arrived, Motel 6 had given away our (prepaid!) room.

I've stayed at this property many times. Rama, Alvarro and all of the staff here are friendly, professional and welcoming and make me feel like I'm at home!

Hotel itself is typical Motel 6. Fairly clean and a little run down. Not bad for a cheap place to lay your head while traveling. The checkin person was as rude as ive ever seen though.

The staff is outstanding and I was made to feel like I was at home. Rama at the front desk is very personable and remembered my name, my wife's name and our dog's name! The motel is pet friendly and I would highly recommend!

Greatstay in renovated property in Colorado Springs. The superlarge room was spotlessly clean, the view West was excellent. I found the unit very quiet, mattress excellent, good hot water in basin and shower. Easy off-on to I25 , a selection of restaurantss at hand. Highly recommended.

Nice motel. I had views of the mountains. Can either walk up as exterior rooms or they do have an elevator as well. Walmart across the street but you don’t hear it, plenty of restaurant options. Rooms were clean, updated and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. No breakfast but Expedia had it listed as breakfast included.

I enjoyed the location near I-25 with easy access to different hiking spaces around Colorado Springs. This motel is also near several restaurants as well as a large shopping mall.

Very good customer service experience. Rooms are clean. Very convenient lication. Walmart is across the Building, McDonald Gas station and others store. It's a very Good location for travelers and for everyone in general. Thanks

The hotel is located in an area with fast food and dine-in restaurants and within walking distance. Plenty of self parking, well lit, and with several security cameras.

Easy, simple and affordable. Its a solid room and great location near the walmart, mall and highway. And its fairly quiet for the amount of traffic the location attracts.

Another great stay on a budget. The hotel is near a noisy roadway but otherwise very good. Property did not offer a hot breakfast likely due to so many options walkable from the front door. Would stay again for sure.

I don't know where to begin: room cleaned with bleach to cover up the smoking in the room smell. door between rooms had a large gap under the door, the person next door was very loud. no shampoo or conditioner despite Expedia saying their would be. coffee machine broken. plunged our own toilet. property very run down. staff doing their best, but the place is in serious need of renovation.

For the price, it was a good place to stay. It is a bare bones place to stay. No shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer in room. Room was very large with a king bed, and two wooden chairs. Lots of room for a small table which would’ve been nice as we ordered dinner in because I was not feeling up to par. Convenient location.

I needed a place to sleep while driving. It was convenient and reasonably priced. Coffee in the lobby area would have been nice
