Sonesta is a good option if you are looking for an affordable place in Boca Raton. the rooms are rather small however its clean and the iron board and mini fridge in the room is a gamechanger. the housekeeping was good however 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed there, they were fixing the pool, and we could not use it. the beds are comfortable and the TV is great. definitely would visit again.

Besides having to walk a great distance to the room, I would recommend this hotel. Major renovations going on , which blocked easy access to parking. The pool was heated and clean the hot tub also. I would stay here again.

The bed was comfortable! Better than average. It was fairly quiet there. Pool was nice. I didn't get a chance to try the hot tub, but it looked good. One thing I didn't like about the property is that around the pool, it smelled. I think people let their dogs go to the bathroom in the hedges and bushes surrounding the pool. They could use some signage to discourage letting the dogs "potty" where others congregate. Also, I was disappointed that there were no built-in ports to charge my cell phone. Most hotels I've been to have at the very least, a USB port for a charger cord. Not here. I was at fault for assuming a 3-star hotel would provide that convenience. Live and learn. I would return to this property if I'm in the area again. And this time, I'd bring my own charger base and cord. Btw, Taurus at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

As you enter staff was friendly. The lobby has a very clean aroma and everything looked new and in great condition. Pool size was great went from 4ft to 6ft and warm temperature with whirlpool close by. Room was small but perfect for myself and son , king bed with small couch. Nice hotel overall

There are so many reasons NOT to stay here! Fitness center was out of service...the elevator next to my room was out of service. Housekeeping was terrible! I will never, ever stay at this dog motel again.

This hotel has roaches, especially where the mini fridges are kept in the rooms. I found them in one room and I asked to be moved. Then I found them in the second room. I asked the person at the front desk if this would be a problem in all of the rooms and she said “yes, probably” (with a little bit of attitude). I should have checked out and asked for a refund.

The hotel is in a great area. The lobby was clean, kept nice. The hotel up to the point where we entered the room was good. The floor had not been vacuumed. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom looked as if someone forgot to clean it. There were drain flies through out the room. I sent a message to the hotel with no reply. Asked for a manager but was told (Kaykay?) I believe is the name she said) would be in sometime that day but wasn’t sure of a time. The area to get hot coffee wasn’t open anytime I was there. I asked for got coffee, said they closed at 10am. Asked at 7am and was told they weren’t open. I feel like for the price, I got not of the amenities that oat hotels include.

I've stayed here multiple times over the years and while its still a decent place, I can see it has gone down a bit. The beds and pillows are too soft. If you like firm, you wont like the beds. Also, the last couple of times we stayed there i noticed unusual marks and stains in the room that house keeping should have spotted and corrected. Also, they need to wipe down the headboards! Really gross when the light hits them just right and you see all of the head marks on it from various greasy heads and hair products. I also noticed an unusual amount of trash left outside of peoples rooms that sat there for too long. Its no fun walking down a trash ridden hallway wondering why it would sit there all day and night. I might give it another shot, but we'll see on the next visit.

The room was nice the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. That being said when I went to take the blow dryer out of the bag it was in two roaches fell out onto my hand and one scurried into the sink and the other to the wall. We checked out immediately. While we weren’t charged for our second night (left after night one) no one apologized for the roaches or offered us any kind of reimbursement or explanation.

The property was decent and conveniently located near I-95, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. However, our room had a few roaches, which made the stay somewhat uncomfortable. If possible, bring your own cleaning supplies. The room itself was a bit small and not the easiest to move around in, but we managed. On a positive note, the shower was excellent—very hot water, great pressure, and multiple spray settings that made it quite enjoyable. We didn’t have many interactions with the hotel staff, but it appeared that one person was handling housekeeping, groundskeeping, and guest services upon our arrival. Unfortunately, the roach issue was a major drawback. My wife screamed a couple of times upon seeing them, so we recommend bringing Lysol, Raid, and any other cleaning materials if you plan to stay. On the bright side, Publix supermarket is close by and a great option for picking up deli sandwiches and cleaning supplies.

Parking lot was easily accessible from different entry points to the property and it was simple to register. The rooms are always very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The WiFi works great.

Everything was fine until we went to sleep. At 3 am the room nextdoor was either getting wake-up calls in 5 mins intervals for 2 hours straight or someone kept calling them on their phone "hotel phone" we called the front desk and it stopped for a while then started again. So needless to say the walls are paper thin. Then at 9 am room service came knocking when we had the DND sign on the door and they woke us up once again and said they thought we checked out. If you don't mind not getting any sleep then this is the place for you. You can also hear the highway noise if you are on the east side of the building. Side note the ac worked well!

Location was convenient. Was clean enough. Was a basic room & hotel. Only plug in charging, no USB ports. They didn’t have any breakfast items for food, but we were able to get a coffee in the morning from a Starbucks inside with a limited supply (no oat or soy milk, no vanilla syrup, for example). So it was a fine enough stay for a short overnight. Not terrible, not great. Very convenient location for getting over to FAU campus.

It's my first time staying at Sonesta, and it won't be the last. It's clean and comfortable. The bed is high, and the mattress is firm, as I like. The only negative aspect is that I have an allergy to carpets. The carpet is clean and in good condition, but the chemicals used sometimes worsen symptoms. But overall I do recommend this Sonesta.

The location is perfect with the amount of great restaurants and convenience located near it, the rooms were clean and the staff was very nice, my only two complaints being someone that stays in hotels frequently is that the lighting in the rooms is very dark. It is not bright enough to enjoy the room in the evening or in the bathroom areas to do your make up well. And the pillows are very, very soft so they are uncomfortable.

Our stay was ok overall. The hotel is located in a great area close to nice restaurants and shops. Very convenient. My only complaints are, the girls in the front check in desks were not very friendly or welcoming. The hotel should hire more personable people at the front desk when guests arive to check in. My other complaint is the air conditioner in my room didnt work. We asked the girl at the front desk if we could move to another room. The girl told us that they didn’t have any move rooms available to move us. So we had no choice but to stay in a hot muggy room. Overall the hotel is ok because of its location, but needs to hire more personable people and make sure the air conditioning is working.

The woman at the front desk who greeted us wasn't friendly at all. She didn't greet us or show us where our room was. All she said was "YOU ID." That is it. People like that shouldn't work in hotels or at customer service. She was very rude. Additionally, they didn't clean the room. I had to go down to the front desk to request new towels. I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff extremely rude. No soap in the bathroom, no new towels available!!? I was told I could have a late check out at 4pm if I paid at $60 fee (by Ivan), when I was checking out the girl at the front desk (Lee) said that Ivan is new and “made a mistake” and they’ll charge me the extra night full charge!!! Terrible. Do not stay there.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Said hello sincerely every time we entered the hotel. The weather was beautiful so we decided to extend our stay for an additional day / night. Though they were clearly busy, they made this work for us dnd allowed us to remain in our same room. Excellent service!

I did not like the reception not helpful , made me wait till 4pm even though the room was ready, coffee was not available at 9am even though they offer coffee till 10am, snack bar was very unresponsive, it was like they do you a favour addressing my request, been to manny hotels never saw such poor customer service, barely were interested in guests, was not able to speak to manager of motel, apparently was on holiday poorly run, would not recommend

The facility is clean and maintained. The elevators appear to be service elevators,not a big deal but out of character with the rest of the hotel. My MAIN complaint (and it will keep me from returning to this particular hotel) is the cost of the breakfast. A coffee, bagel and orange juice was $18! There is too much competition in this class of hotel where free breakfasts are the norm. So, for two of us, add $20 each (we tip) for just two nights. That is an additional $80, which, to me, feels like price gouging. There is little to NO business being done in this little breakfast area. If effectively is a waste of space and should be closed down. You asked for my opinion, now you have it.

The cafe in the morning needs help. We waited in line for 30 mins for a muffin. This is not beneficial for people who are here for business. It also does not help that other employees were just hanging out at desk and watching her struggle. Think you should rethink the cafe as a whole or actually hire a barista.

I like the location since it is right off the expressway, but the hotel is falling apart. No air condition in the hallways, no staff, no housekeeping everyday and if you ask for anything, staff rude. No working ice machines, Coffee bar never open, carpets dirty. Dogs barking, weed smell in halls. This place is set next to the most fancy steak houses, they need a total remodel before we would consider staying again. Beds were comfortable.

The room was very musty smelling. The hall carpet needs a good deep cleaning. Did not realize this was a “self service hotel” and none of the towels on the floor were replaced and the room was not cleaned. Will not visit again.
