Everything was pretty good about my stay. I was able to bring my Mastiff with me and they gave me no problems with him. The pool was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. Even waited to check if it was okay to go in the room with the dog there. The only thing was I killed two small roaches. But I understand that it’s not an indoor hotel and bugs happen. It was clean and fresh other than that. I connected to my Roku with their WiFi and it was perfect. I would recommend staying here if visiting Crystal River.

There is a daily fee for my pet. The property was clean and by the water. It was peaceful and the people were nice. Not a lot of good places to eat and the tours are somewhat pricey.

They have done some remodeling and are almost done. Looks good and felt pretty clean despite being a little on the older side. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews and were very happy with our room and stay. There were no odors or foul smells. The beds and rooms looked clean. The pool and pool area were very clean also. The Dennys right next to the pool was awesome. Walked out the back door and just steps away from our room. Very convenient. Also the boat ramp and marina were literally right out back and that was super nice. Was plenty of parking as well and we were there for the 4th of July. So overall a very nice stay and we would definitely do it again!

The staff were very helpful and nice. They’re remodeling and it’s nice and comfortable. There was a room with vulgar men swearing and carrying on, and we called the desk after an hour. They did quiet down then but it was frustrating. Staff moved us to another nicer room after we complained. Denny’s is hooked right on to the building so that’s handy.

We got a room with two double beds. Both beds had hair in the sheets, and one of the beds had what appeared to be food crumbs. Went to the office, got more sheets, changed them, and stayed the night. The bathtub was even worse. It had obviously not been cleaned as there was not only a lot of hair of different lengths, but dirty washcloths were left draped over the shower curtain rod, dried until crispy. We bought a bottle of bleach and bleached out the shower. All this for $153 per night.

As soon as we walked into our room we noticed the floor was wet and we had to get towels to dry them so we wouldn’t slip and fall. At 2 the next morning the floor was wet again. I had started to wheeze and we suspected mold as I am extremely allergic. The hotel happily refunded the rest of our stay and we went somewhere else.

Beds comfortable, clean bedding, fresh towels. My feet were black from dirt on vinyl flooring. I think it gets dusty since we were on 1st floor. Flooring is great tho. Wish they'd give you a coupon for breakfast at Denny's or a discount.

Room smelled of mold and bathroom had mildew everywhere. Sheets felt sandy. Check in was weird. Could not see the person sitting at the desk and my room number was stated out loud in front of some guy at the desk. I wondered how I got a decent rate during scallop season and now I know why. WE were only there for about 8 hours but I would not have stayed another night.

The location was ok. The rooms need serious updating/TLC. The bathroom door has paint cracking/falling off. The ceiling looked like it had mold growing on it. The pool water looked dingy.

Only booked this hotel because of the reviews. What a mistake!! Assigned room was filthy. Roaches, beetles. Stained sheets, nasty pillows, dirty mattresses. We asked for a different room and second room was better but one of the mattress cover was nasty dirty. Only used one bed for 4 hours and couldn’t sleep. My husband drove for 10 hours that day and didn’t want to look for another hotel. Next morning floors were wet with no reason horrible!. Avoid this hotel.

The room itself was in okay condition. When you went into the bathroom there were some red stains on the wall that almost looked like blood. The toilet would leak from under the seal and there were a few times when we had to put toilet paper into the trash bin because the toilet wouldn’t flush/would clog easily. We were the ones who took our garbage out most of the time and had to ask for toilet paper because out of the whole time we were there our room was only cleaned maybe 3 times by the staff. There were cockroaches that I had to squash almost every night. We didn’t get a new microwave until halfway through our stay because it was broken and rusted on the inside. The WiFi only worked every other day if that. The mini fridge would either not keep things cold or our lunch meat ended up freezing and had to be thrown out. It also almost fell every time you opened the door.

We only reserved the room for one night. We planned to swim with the Manatee and then return to the room to shower. When we went to start the shower we saw how filthy it was. Hair and dirt in the tub. When we stopped and talked to the person at the front desk, he said this sometimes happens. He said the sewer backs up. There was no excuse for this no matter what I would never stay at this hotel again.

We had to switch rooms because the AC wasn’t working correctly in the first room. There were roaches in the room there was here on the bathroom floor. The refrigerator did not get very cold at all.

Room had a musty smell to it. It looked like the main room was recently redone. However, the toilet and shower area was not in good shape. Several knicks in the tub, the drain plug was broken and lying off to the side. The rest was decent enough. It was nice that there was a Dennys right next door.

no hello or welcome in this hotel. Few long seconds after you wished a good afternoon, Dan has just groaned an unfriendly “what’s going on ?” . And then, after I said it was for checking in, I got an “id and credit card”. Otherwise, the room was clean and pretty well equipped.

The check in sucked, there was no acknoledgement of my standing there for 5 minutes and checking out was worse, I said good morning to the gentleman behind the desk and he just looked up at me, no greeting back. Very weird. The cover on top of the bed and some towels were stained but I just used some clean ones I found and removed the duvet as the sheets were clean, I believe. Next time Hampton down the road, will be worth the extra miles.

The hotel was clean and the room acceptable however, we were up most of the night with unruly neighbors. They argued, yelled, played loud music, talked about guns and fighting. We called the office several times overnight with no resolution. When I checked out, I spoke to the person at the desk who told me they knew about the problem! They had contacted their employer about the issues. Why would you put other guests near a known problem!!?? I was offered no concessions, just a weak apology. I want a refund.

Checked in 4pm and left to meet friends. Came back later that night to the room and key wouldn’t function. Went to front desk with all my luggage. Night manager couldn’t get in either. Turns out there was someone already booked for that room and they were inside trying to get a hold of the front desk. Night manager checked my license and computer, turns out I was given keys to wrong room. Everything turned out ok but the lack of attention to detail has me wary of staying here again. Especially for the money they charge.

Safe. Clean. Convenient. Friendly. It's perfect for what it is. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. We booked a manatee trip with Crystal River Watersports (awesome company, BTW - just steps away from the hotel) and the hotel graciously offered to extend our check-out until noon - so we could have a quick shower after our manatee experience. Highly recommend the Days Inn/Crystal River Watersports combo.

Check in office gave us a room that was occupied. When we informed office there was someone in it and they acted surprised and questioned if we were sure. Ac filters were coated in dust. Evap coils were covered in mold and other biological growth. Ac systems barely maintain temp due to age and do not look like they have seen a maintenance since they were installed 10 plus years ago. They claim fresh renovations but there were stains on the floor. The only thing renovated was the outside paint. And even that looked like a maintenance guy did it. Front door doesn’t seal and has air gaps in it. Overall it’s a cheap hotel but the price per night exceeds that of what they provide you.

Check in was easy for the price that was paid for that room the decor was nice but the cleanliness and creature comforts just weren't there. Just felt that there should have been a little bit better accommodations for the price that was charged there wasn't even any type of breakfast or more or anything in the coffee machine was broke

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. For me, its the little things... sure the room could be updated (like most Ive been too), but it was clean, comfortable, and they clean your room every day which I love. The staff was sweet and were good at their jobs. The property was well maintained, they had a nice pool (which we didnt get to enjoy because it was too cold out) AND its connected to a bar/ restaurant and a Denys, which was also really good. Its very convenient to local shopping and restaurants. I will definitely be using this hotel again when Im in the area.
