Nice touches include stylish rooms, coffee and tea available around the clock, safe storage for bikes/kayaks/SUPs, delicious complimentary pastries baked on site every evening. Would stay here again. Do note that check-in may not be available late at night so check with property if arriving after 9 pm.

This property is so tropical and just gorgeous!!! Walkable to so much that you wouldn’t have to leave the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely stay here again. I think the little touches with the coffee room being open 24/7 and the delicious pastries delivered to your room every afternoon, just absolutely makes it perfect!!!!

Nice room with a great shower head in the bath. Welcome croissants were a nice treat. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful gardens and seating areas. Walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. An iron and ironing board would be nice.

We had a wonderful stay at the retreat as it is not your typical motel. The rooms are clean and big. There was some Champagne and cookies waiting on the table as we entered the room. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and seating nestled under the trees, just charming!! The aroma of constant fresh brewed coffee and baked croissants that they leave in a bag on your door every afternoon is a nice touch, not to mention delicious. We had a lovely stay here. The hotel has clearly been updated recently and the room was in perfect condition. The grounds are lovely with a spa-like atmosphere! The staff were friendly and helpful. We needed to check in late, which can be done until 11pm. They have a futuristic coffee maker that grinds the beans for each cup! Breakfast options were a little uninspiring but the coffee made up for that.

Very pretty property. It has been nicely renovated, the rooms are large and it was great to have access to the breakfast room 24/7. The only thing I didn’t like is the scented cleaning solution they use. I’m sensitive to smell and to me the perfume smell in the room was overwhelming.

The staff were so friendly, the room was very clean and comfy. They left an amazing little treat at our door in the evening...best little croissant ever! We had an amazing little weekend. Thank you Retreat at Crystal Manatee. We will be back!

First off, this property is newly remodled and it's gorgeous. Jodi was the person who checked us in and she even walked us to our room and showed us the amenities offered and the lounges we could get into. Its not a big place, but it was still nice to be shown. They leave freshly baked (in house) pastries too for each room. They were delicious! The rooms are VERY clean and decorated super cute. The only downside to the entire thing is the shower/toilet area is very small, but was manageable.

4.5 stars: would stay here again What I liked - clean, beautiful flower beds, close to Hunters Spring park and Kings bay, staff was friendly and helpful, free self serve breakfast, free croissants every evening What I didn't like - no microwave in room or breakfast area to warm up dinner left overs, no sink or mirror in the bathroom (had to use the large sink and mirror in the room) no lamp on the bedside tables (so if you read in bed at night you have to get back out of bed to turn off the lights) bed was way to soft for me Would give 5 stars if there would have been a microwave and a bedside lamp by the bed for reading. Would give 10 stars if they offered free kayaks to use at kings bay. We will definitely stay here again.

This property is newly renovated though spartan for furnishings. No luggage racks or in room coffee maker, awkward shower with too many unlabeled knobs and low water pressure. Sink was in the bedroom instead of in a washing area. On the flip side, guests were greeted with fresh pastries on their door, and a nice private on site continental breakfast room for guests.

The rooms were pretty modern and simple. We were excited about the shower but some of the holes were clogged so we weren't getting full pressure from the waterfall , shower wand or upper body sprayer. That was disappointing considering the looks of the room, fee and $150 deposit. Other than that, the hotel was good.

This boutique stay with a quaint charm was way more than expected. We knew it got good ratings, but we literary were amazed at the charm of this place. The room we had was amazing, staff was incredible, and the restaurant had incredible food. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. It was a sweet surprise after our long day of travel. We will definitely be back.

Cute little hotel with great artistic pieces throughout. Loved that we could walk to the nearby shops and restaurants. We were in town to see the manatees at Crystal River, which was only a couple minutes away, so perfect.

After two weeks of traveling in Florida, this was BY FAR our favorite lodging! Beautiful rooms, each with its own unique decor, a peaceful courtyard filled with plants and a huge live oak tree, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and parks. And a daily afternoon pastry delivered to our room. Definitely the best lodging option in Crystal River and a true sanctuary amid Florida crowds.

This motel was quite unique from the upgraded decor to the endless freshly ground and brewed coffee. Staff was very friendly and it was centrally located to restaurants and sightseeing.

After we checked in, the front desk clerk walked us to our room. everyday we had a bag of croissants on our door everyday. That was a nice gift. Not much for breakfast. Only toast, bagels and cereals. Limited drinks only draw back. If they had a full breakfast for the price of the room would make it a great place.

A really nice Hotel with lovely staff. The rooms are pretty and spacious. We loved the fresh bakery on arrival and the coffee and complimentary breakfast (bagel, creamcheese, fruits, assorted jam etc.) was really good. Next time in this area we will stay again here.

This property is so tropical and just gorgeous!!! Walkable to so much that you wouldn’t have to leave the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely stay here again. I think the little touches with the coffee room being open 24/7 and the delicious pastries delivered to your room every afternoon, just absolutely makes it perfect!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the retreat as it is not your typical motel. The rooms are clean and big. There was some Champagne and cookies waiting on the table as we entered the room. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and seating nestled under the trees, just charming!! The aroma of constant fresh brewed coffee and baked croissants that they leave in a bag on your door every afternoon is a nice touch, not to mention delicious. The hotel is small, cozy, beautiful, clean, many plants around, close to everything, and very friendly staff. Also, in the breakfast area there are always drinks and some free snacks. Also, at dusk they offered all the guests some delicious sweet cakes, a nice detail!

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel has clearly been updated recently and the room was in perfect condition. The grounds are lovely with a spa-like atmosphere! The staff were friendly and helpful. We needed to check in late, which can be done until 11pm. They have a futuristic coffee maker that grinds the beans for each cup! Breakfast options were a little uninspiring but the coffee made up for that.

Wonderful, quiet oasis within walking distance of public beach, state park, kayak launch docks, manatee tours, downtown shopping and restaurants. Clean rooms with simple amenities amd basic complimentary breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here!
