Check in was kind of strange- I was standing like 10 min till check in person (EJ) finished phone conversation with someone resolving some billing issue . No “ be right with you “, no “ sorry about that “ just ignore someone standing in front . After he was done he did apologised but still the whole situation was strange . Breakfast is average…area around hotel is clean and parking is convenient and free .

The friendliness and accommodation of the staff makes this Holiday Inn Express exceptional. My only comment for improvement would be the pool. Which was cloudy and needed better circulation and filtering due to the heavy usage. This location is very centrally located to the springs and the large ground floor rooms make this location exceptionally good for paddle boards.

This appears to be a newer hotel and is in very good condition. Staff was friendly. Clean, smallish outdoor pool. Comfortable bed & pillows. I would stay here again.

It is a clean place to stay. I wish they had a hot tub and the eleavator was broken down, had to clim 3 flights of stairs ,however they did get them working again. Breakfast was good.

Good location and mostly friendly service. The elevator is very very slow. Good thing it is only 4 floors. Good coffee in the morning. Breakfast was basic - but good. Not too many choices but I wasn't expecting the buffet from The Plaza in New York either.

Hotel was impeccably clean! Also we were super impressed with the friendly and professional lady at check in!! She takes great pride in her hospitality skills and is super welcoming! She is an asset to your hotel! She would honestly be an ideal trainer in the hospitality industry! I believe her name was Tatum! I also had a conversation with a gentleman named Marc who also worked there, he was helpful and friendly as well!! This management obviously can pick great employees! Customer service has gone WAY DOWN in recent years, but is ALIVE and THRIVING at your hotel!! Thank you!!! Ps. Breakfast was pretty good, pancake machine was so cool!!! (In all of our travels, we hadn’t ever seen that!) 😊

Hotel was nice and for most part clean . Only bad thing in room was there was a couple small blood spots on top part of my sheet that wasn’t mine .when I exposed sheet for them to see and change they just straighten sheet out and it remained there during my stay . I never slept on that side of bed before or after noticed . The room also has very thin walls I could hear the guy in the room next to me snoring all night. Other than that it was nice .

We were looking for a pet-free hotel, as those usually have less odor in the rooms. The description of this Holiday Inn Express did not mention that it is pet-friendly, but apparently, for $30 you can bring your four-legged family member. I have nothing against pets or their owners, but I prefer staying in hotels that do not allow animals, so this should really be clearly stated in the hotel’s description to help travelers like us make an informed choice. We had to swap rooms twice before finding one that didn’t smell like urine or have a musty odor. The final room we settled on still had issues — the toilet seat was not properly cleaned. We ended up cleaning it ourselves since the housekeeping staff, though polite, didn’t actually fix the issue when asked. On the positive side, the amenities appear new, the bathroom is in good condition, and the towels and sheets were clean with no unpleasant odors from the pillows. Overall, this hotel has potential, but it really needs to: Clearly disclose its pet-friendly policy Improve room cleanliness and inspection standards. We typically stay staying in Holiday Inn because it usually keep itself to a higher standards. This location we are not coming back

We chose this property because it was close to the activitiy we were doing. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint we had was the water pressure to the top floor was weaker than we like so it took longer to shower. Would still recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very comfortable, and we really liked having the microwave and refrigerator. I appreciated the coffee machines in the lobby too. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff as we came and went each day. This hotel it’s a great option in Crystal River even if it’s not right on the water.

This would have been a 5 star facility except you can hear every door on the floor open and close at 5 am and hear people talking in normal voices through the walls. The sound proofing is very poor. Staff was excellent! Room was very nice. Mattresses on the firm side. There was a domestic issue on our floor at the other end of the hall that woke us up at 5am from the doors opening and closing.

The hotel has clean and spacious rooms with mini fridge and microwave. The hallway is a little weird with 3 room doors opening towards each other but not a major issue. The man who checked me in was getting hammered by a lot of guests coming in at the same time. He was coming off his shift (and was supposed to have been off), but the lady coming on shift was there too. There was around 6 or 7 separate people in line and the lady kept going through papers instead of jumping in and getting customers checked in/out. I felt like the customers should have been the lady’s priority. The poor guy was doing the best he could.

Hotel is well located and you have everything you need around it. Rooms are pleasantly large and quiet. There are enough parking spaces available. However, the air conditioning is so loud that you can no longer hear the television and I turned it off to sleep. Breakfast is OK, but unfortunately only plastic and worse, Styrofoam plates/bowls are used. Unfortunately there is no environmental awareness. Other than that it’s good for a short stay.

In general our stay was fine. There was a continual malfunction with the door keys allowing us to get in from anywhere other than the front lobby door. This was manageable for most of your staff...except one... also, all but one of your entire staff were amazing and welcoming... the one I'm referring to, was the same person both times... your evening desk person, Evan. Evan apparently does not get along with people very well and when that spilled over to our 12 yr old daughter... we were appauled!

Incredibly charged an early arrival when the room was sitting empty and then charged us the fee twice. If we had not had a reservation and walked in off the street it would have saved us a useless fee. Then after that insult they asked if we wanted to join the reward program. Seriously???? Amazing staff!! They were so helpful in offering suggestions, helping with sightseeing, giving recommendations to swim with manatees, offering check out options, even accommodating a late breakfast when we got back from our excursion. We couldn’t have asked for a better customer service experience. They texted us and checked in occasionally and offered their services. we felt like they genuinely cared about us. The pool was great. The breakfast was as expected. The hotel was clean and the rooms were updated and clean. Definitely a super hotel and we would recommend staying there.

This is a no frills spot that’s close to the manatee swim we were doing. The rooms are a bit outdated with some peeling wood on the doors and scratches on the tub, but it’s a clean and comfortable room for an overnight stay. The breakfast does the trick if you need something fast, but I wouldn’t say it’s out of this world. Biscuits and gravy were yummy though. What really sets this hotel apart is the kind staff. This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and I appreciate the warmth and flexibility of the staff. I was really impressed by Tatum, who took such great care of us. Educated us on our IHG Rewards and was kind enough to schedule a late checkout so we could shower after our swim. Overall, I’d stay here again.

Conveniently located. Reception member was extremely helpful when checking in. Advised us on dinner options and also organised late check out the following day so that we could return to the hotel to pack, shower and check out after an early morning swim with the manatees. Room was spacious.

After having a horrible and anxious filled 30 minute stay at another hotel Chris at the front desk helped us find 2 rooms close to each other. He gave us water and helped lower our anxiety level, he went above and beyond helping us. We felt safe, secure and comfortable

What I didn't like is that the hotel had no recyclable, eco-friendly flatware and drinkware. Everything was plastic or styrofoam!!! (really bad for the environment). Only plastic cups. No water glasses in the room. We had to drink the wine from plastic cups.
