The area around was nice, the property was clean and the rooms were clean. The pool was nice. Breakfast area was very crowded and small. All in all I enjoyed our stay and recommend.

Pros: breakfast was fantastic and Hazel kept it well stocked and fresh. Cons: very uncomfortable hard beds and pillows, run down rooms, filthy pool and they let large groups of teenagers move chairs and furniture, scraping on tile floors in adjoining rooms and common areas. This went on continuously from 10pm thru 4am. IMPOSIBLE TO SLEEP . The staff is nice but they lost control of the facility. We would not return.

They have one of the best breakfast offerings of anywhere we have stayed. The only reason I gave them only five stars was because the pool was closed for several days. Security on staff checking parking area.

Very nice place, the employees are polite, helpful and friendly. The breakfast offers a good variety of goodies with ample time for a relaxed meal. The pool is inviting and provides a family atmosphere.

This would have been a nice hotel 30 years ago. The room was outdated, dirty, and it smelled bad. There was mold in the shower. The shower didn’t drain. We had to shower in water that was over the ankle high. The front door and the two connecting doors in the room didn’t close properly, causing us to feel unsafe at night. The bathroom door also didn’t close properly. There was a lot of noise coming from the parking lot all hours of the day and night. We could also hear the next room’s TV. We were told it would be $30 for early check in, something I’ve never heard of even at the most high class resorts. The front desk was rude most of the time. We asked for a garbage bag because the garbage in our room was overflowing and they said they couldn’t give us one. The pool was not heated and was very filthy. It was freezing cold every single day. The A/C in our room didn’t work. Breakfast was mediocre. Two hot items available. The location was okay. Near a lot of food, walmart, and the outlet mall. I would not stay here again though.

Overall the Experience was very good if there’s one area that can improve is to have a change machine in the laundry area since management were out of coin/change so that was an inconvenience and had to leave the hotel to go on a hunt for a coin operated laundromat. Almost a 5 star experience but because of this I couldn’t do it.Laundry coin change and bigger area can definitely make it a 5 star hotel.

I’ve stayed here twice and would stay again. Convenient location for starting out to the Keys or South Everglades. Property is very clean & satisfactory. I did have a problem with the guest laundry machine, these things are frustrating but the staff got it working for me.

The place was ok. Hair all over the ground, linens, and towels. Breakfast was decent. Location is perfect for the Everglades and the keys. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. The floors just looked and felt dirty. Pool was also dirty and my kids wouldn’t swim. Staff was nice.

The hotel was mostly as expected but the beds were terrible. Very uncomfortable and in need of replacement. The mattresses both had a huge divit in the middle. The room was in need of a deep clean as the floors were dirty and bathroom was a bit grungey. The breakfast was decent, the pool was pretty good and staff were nice.

Room smelled musty. We asked about getting another room, but were told they were full. We stuck it out for 3 nights, but the smell never disapated. There was a toenail on the floor in the bathroom and some of the corners had debris on them. The coffee machine and microwave were dirty and rusty. The chairs were old and peeling. We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked clean and nice. Breakfast was fine.

Really dirty and dingy property with folks smoking everywhere. There are red stains on the bed side table and the bathroom looks like it is falling apart. The clogger in the bathtub was stuck. We ended up unscrewing it and it stinks. It's not best Western but Worst Western!

I want to start by saying we didn’t actually stay here, we had to leave and go across the street to the Marriott. Our first room had a strong mold smell. So we asked for another. Well that was a mistake because there were cockroaches in the new one. Probably in the old one too, but we didn’t see them. We saw one, and instantly took all of our things out of the room and put them in our car. Then they started coming out of the woodworks. I killed multiple. The front desk came and took pictures. They gave me my money back, but it ruined our trip. We were going to stay with friends and I couldn’t risk taking them to their house because the next day there was one in one of our shoes.

The floor and bathrooms were filthy. We forgot to take an unopened expensive bottle of wine from the fridge in room 159 and called immediately and they denied it was there. We were to return 5 days later and cancelled the booking. We have many friends that use that hotel so we will pass the word.

It was like a time warp - the room looked as though it hadn't been changed in the last 30 years. The bathroom was also very dated and tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. There was no soundproofing between us and the family with young children next door.

Honestly, this was a great stay. I was a little skeptical because of the price but it’s definitely worth it. Very clean. Staff was nice and it had everything I needed. I’ll be staying here again the next time I visit. Only thing is the walls are thin.

The place was clean and the property was maintained. The beds are hard and quite uncomfortable. By the time my husband, son and I left we had backaches from the bed after 4 nights sleeping on them. Overall it’s a good place and close to the keys with easy access to everything. Shopping is nearby and lots of fruit stands and plant nurserys in homestead.

We had a room near the pool, you could hear people sitting by the pool in the evening, you could also hear the neighbors quite clearly, they kept opening and closing doors and their conversations, luckily everything went quiet after 11 pm. The room was big and clean, so basically I can recommend this hotel.

External aspects of the hotel were fine, but the room interiors seemed to be a time warp from the 1970s. In particular, the air conditioning system was loud and inefficient. Major renovations would be welcome. On the positive side, staff was helpful and accommodating.

The pool and courtyard are spacious and relaxing, with warm breezes and swaying palms. It feels secluded, set back behind the business sector, but is walking distance to the Pollo Tropical, making this a convenient place for takeout. Finally, the breakfast dining area is accommodating and attractive. This location is idea for spending the day on Key Largo without breaking your budget.

I wasn’t expecting much given the price, but this hotel turned out to be a real gem. It’s simple but clean and well-kept, with attractive planting around the pool that gives it a surprisingly nice atmosphere. The staff were genuinely helpful—particularly Isabella and Juanita, who went out of their way to assist me during my stay. For the price, it’s excellent value and I’d happily stay again.

For this class of hotels, it was at the top. Allowed early check in, gave me preferred room as requested, very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, lots of hot water and safety locks on door. Breakfast was better than most when included in price. I would definitely stay here again.

My guest room door lock was getting stuck frequently and when I asked for help the staff didn’t even bother to send someone just asked me to try pushing it in a different direction. It took a lot of effort to unlock it.

Staff was awful at check in. Room was prepaid using Expedia and they kept saying loudly in the lobby that my card was declined. It was not and I saw the charge from Expedia in my checking account. Took way too long to check in, rooms smell awful and the place is not the cleanest. Won’t stay here again and wish I could have gone elsewhere.

Unusually rude staff that is serving breakfast. Went there around 9:00 for breakfast that lasts until 10:00. They were out of all main items that make breakfast: out of eggs and sausage, out of waffle dough and out of milk for cereal. Well when I found the person who is in charge of the area she clearly was annoyed about the ask is she could refill the items. It is not what she said but how she said it, the tone and facial expression. Room was “OK” but the whole area smells like Raid insect spray.

Staff was professional. Excellent free breakfast. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Clean room and towels. The only thing they gave too little shampoo and soap. We need more soap for a family of 4 people.
