Room was great. Like staying in a small condo…there was a sitting area w TV, a kitchen w frig, stove, microwave, dishwasher & dishes, on other side of the wall were 2 queen beds w another TV. Free bfst was delicious. Only complaint was the pool was not maintained & had a lot of debris in it.

I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights. Some things we loved were: the spacious rooms. Our room included a sitting area with sofa, desk and then a separated bed area. The TV was thoughtfully placed where it was viewable from all areas of the room, including the bathroom. We also loved how quiet it was. We barely heard a peep the entire time we were there. The staff was great and we appreciated the fridge, microwave, and toiletries. Bed was super comfy, great linens and 4 nice large pillows! Also loved that the smart TV had Netflix available. The breakfast buffet was the star of the stay! We got there pretty early and everything was fresh and delicious! Some things we didn't love: We specifically booked this hotel for use of the hot tub, but found that it was luke warm, and pretty dirty, completely unusable. This was really disappointing. The room that held the toilet and shower was tiny! And impossible to open or close the door when seated on the toilet. Very awkward, especially for my 6'2 husband. *Some.towels in the pool area would be nice. Overall the room was nice for the price and id probably stay here again, but really hope they get the hot tub functioning soon, because that would be my only reason for not staying here in the future.

This is a nice hotel with a great hot breakfast, nice pool, spa, and patio, and really comfortable rooms. While it might seem far from the center of Gainesville, not being near Archer Road and all the traffic of that area made it super easy to get around where we needed to go. We'll definitely try to stay here again.

This place was pretty decent. The room was spacious but it was a little outdated (old appliances). It was ok for one night that we were passing by. It had a pool and jacuzzi. The best part was the breakfast which had an omelette station. It was a decent stay.

we came to see the uf university and we came to the room late my son went to take a shower and the towels were ripped and the sheets of the bed had a lot of stains and on the pillows too and i don't recommend this hotel

The property is beautiful, and the breakfast was good. However, our room was dirty and the bathroom filthy! The floor looked like it was never cleaned- dirt in the corners, behind the toilet. At the top of the bowl, there was black mold ring at the top. The bathtub had brown stains on the bottom. We asked on Saturday morning to get the bathroom cleaned, but nothing was cleaned.

Property was clean and queit. Beautiful sceen around. One issue with the bathroom had mold in-between tiles and shower curtains too short spreading water all over the bathroom. There was alot of dust around the fridge.

As soon as you walk in the room it smells like pee and has a musty odor. The shower curtain was too thin so when you took a shower, the whole bathroom will get wet. Floor was sticky,sheets looked dirty

And checked right back out immediately. The garbage was not emptied, there was a dirty washcloth in the bathroom, and there were makeup marks on the sheets. Then, to top it off… A bedbug walks across the bed! Beware! And the management will tell you they can’t give you your money back even when you show them a picture of the bedbug, if you have booked on a third-party site.

Bedding and towels were not clean at all. Thankfully I travel with my own, but there were spots on the fitted mattress sheet once I pulled back the duvet and spots all over the duvet. The wash cloths were almost sticky they were so dirty, and all I wanted to do was dry my hands. If the room was clean I’d give it 5 stars, but based on the whole experience, 3.5 stars

The staff was pleasant, however, we were unaware the the rooms did not get cleaned and you had to get towels and empty your own trash. Asked personal on the floor cleaning and was just told that my room was not on their paperwork. Went down stairs and asked and was told it would happen tomorrow and he wrote it on a sheet of paper. The next evening still no service, the front desk personal stated the hotel policy was to set towels, trash etc outside the door for clean items. Why did they not tell me when i check in, this would have saved a lot of aggrivation on my part and we would have understood the rules. so i checked out early

Gateway Grand is a solid hotel, it's getting a little old and worn. Still a nice property but dated. WiFi isn't great. Excellent breakfast. Nice people. Overall pretty good just really needs a remodel

I stay at this property approximately once a month for the last year. It’s convenient to my local area business/personal requirements. Overall, I like the property especially the pool/Jacuzzi and the omelette bar for breakfast. The room however, is just OK. I stay usually in one of the King suites which gives me a little more space. The bed is fine, but the furniture needs to be changed out. Additionally, the bathroom area and shower needs to be modernized. The overall hotel requires some modernization. The hotel gets the basics right and has great potential, but it needs to be updated.

Every single staff member we spoke with or had any interaction with was friendly, kind, and helpful. They were quick with extra-anything we needed. We appreciated the option to reduce our carbon footprint with less room cleaning during our stay, and the front desk was always happy to give us extra towels, as needed. The building was clean and comfortable. The rooms were clean. 100% would stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Gaeway for a week. We had two children with us. We were there weekend and weekdays. Here's my honest and detailed review. The location is really nice , its tucked away and its not to busy in that area. The hotel is spacious . The decor and lobby are very nice and welcoming. The night desk man is very nice and welcoming!!! The house keeping staff ladies are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. They do have a worker who does made to order omelet. The breakfast is limited options and its the same everyday, there is also no fruit. They always have 2 staff working breakfast most are quiet and nice. The one weekday lady who seems to be the main lady has little patience and a temper. She was told about a waffle batter spill and yelled and became very unwelcoming to eveeyone !! She made us feel very uncomfortable and afraid to ask any questions. The outdoor area is very nice,lots of seating, sun, shade. The hotter is hot! The pool is heated perfectly. The fencing around the area could use a good pressure washing but otherwise its beautiful. The fitness center location is a little odd especially for a female alone working out at night but the equipment is pretty standard and in working order. The rooms- they're clean, they lack a good deep cleaning. The sinks etc have hard water and soap scum all over but otherwise its clean and a pretty standard room. Some fridges have a small frezer and some dont. rooms are outdated with hard beds

Do not ever stay here for a home Florida football game. The opposing team stayed here. We couldn’t check in before 7:30pm, we had to park on a dirt parking lot and Uber to the game, and we were not allowed to use the restrooms. When we returned from the game at 11:45pm we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to check in. We will NEVER stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Gateway Grand to break up a trip from Charleston to Cape Coral. The location was perfect to break up this trip. Right on the I-75 and about the right distance to and from both locations. We were greeted at reception by Arianna, who was super friendly, helpful and polite. I can’t compliment Arianna more highly for her level of customer service. Our room was really nice. Spacious, with a living area which we could comfortably sit in and watch TV. We ate at Gator’s Den Restaurant and had a really nice meal with a complimentary drink as we were hotel guest We had a really comfortable night’s sleep in the large bed and woke up refreshed. Breakfast was included and we had a delicious omelette, which was cooked to order. All in all, we had a really good stay at Best Western Gateway Grand and would thoroughly recommend it.

From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by James ,the desk clerk, I was treated with respect and he was very courteous , I had to change rooms in the morning due to family and James was again right on it, What a pleasure to interact with employees like him, The phones were ringing non stop but he didn’t get flustered or irritated , just went about his job, Rooms were clean and smelled good , lobby and pool very nice , Awesome breakfast, Definately recommend this hotel

We had a problem with intersection to get into property. Very dangerous, person at front desk agreed and suggested another way to get to Alachua. I wanted to change hotels because of this intersection. If a light is not installed, I will not stay at this hotel.

Conveniently located just off the I 75 in a small safe business park. Lots of on site parking , gym pool etc but not much choice of places to eat if you didn’t want to use the on site restaurant. Breakfast was ok with good choice

The Gators Den is awesome. Glad to see a menu in the elevator and the guest rooms. The best breakfast in any hotel I’ve been to on this trip. Go Gainesville.

First room A/C would not work only heat. They stop breakfast 15 min early and would not replenish food multiple people asking employees and they would not supply, only thing that was available was breads and other pastries. There were some old eggs dried out no one would touch. I will plan to book elsewhere in future travel.
