We came up from Tampa for the UF football game and were simply impressed by the hospitality, service, food & drinks from the bar and the little market! Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was excellent! Bed and sheets were perfect! TV was HUGE! We will definitely be staying again when in town!

its a hotel, nothing special, was under construction so they are trying, close to everything you may need including highway access. the room was 8 out of 10, I bring a blacklight and the bed passed inspection but the floors did not, bring slippers or flip flops. breakfast is an up charge which I thought was ridiculous. nice common area for gathering. internet speed was basic. again its a hotel to rest your head. would stay again

It was clean, family friendly, welcoming! The boys and girls teams had a great time in the pool! The staff were very supportive of getting our rooms close together! The breakfast had a variety of healthy options for the teams the next morning before the tournaments! I’d stay again!

Have stayed at property numerous times while in town diving the springs. Staff is always great, rooms are clean. Unfortunately this last trip I did have scuba gear stolen out of my truck. There are no cameras in the parking lot and a lot of homeless around. Stay vigilant and keep your vehicles locked up if staying here.

Hotel was good, slightly dated on some points inside room, but nice spacious bedrooms and general areas good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only the swimming pool at the front of the property was bit strange, probably why no one used it.

We arrived for my son’s graduation at UF and we were busy the entire day . The 1st room we received wasn’t even clean, they switched our room and the at the new room the desk and the refrigerator cabinet was all moldy . We complained to the manger he wasn’t nice. They didn’t have another room to switch . The second night they didn’t clean our room , and when we arrived at midnihght we didn’t have any clean towels and we had a big roach in the room on the wall . We were disgusted from the hotel . Very disappointing paying almost $700 for 2 nights . Not recommended

Everyone has different standards, I know! Its a 3 star hotel However I have to say the room is very outdated and the bathroom felt gross. You can see some mold and mildew in the corners and they need a deep cleaning at a professional level. Lots of dust around the corners. I would never willingly stay here again.

I chose to stay at the Doubletree Hilton based on my previous positive experiences with other Doubletree properties. I have always appreciated the consistency and quality of service from your brand, and as my recent trip was professional in nature, I was hoping to have a comfortable and pleasant experience during my stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by a strong and unpleasant smell of mildew and mold, which made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. Additionally, I discovered several other significant issues: the bathroom had visible rust and corrosion along the shower, the windows were in poor condition, and exposed, excessive wiring was present. The cleanliness of the room was also concerning, as the bedding and pillows were not fresh, there were noticeable stains on the floor, and there were holes in the walls. Moreover, the TV in the room was broken and the electronics covered in dust. To add to my dissatisfaction, cleaning supplies from housekeeping were left in the room for the entire duration of my stay, indicating that the room was not properly checked or cleaned daily, as one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. I have attached photos that clearly show the bathroom condition, including the rust and mold, as well as other issues mentioned. I trust these images will illustrate the substandard conditions I encountered.

The hotel lobby and bar area look nice when you walk in, but then when you go to the room and check out the bathroom that is completely disgusting. The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time with dirt and grime on the shower floor. The floor of the bathroom was so dirty and sticky my shoes kept getting stuck. There were ants crawling all over the sink and counter. I was too afraid to discuss with management based on prior reviews and staying there alone as a woman. To top it off, it was a busy weekend and they charged over $500/night for the room. Would never stay here again.

Deep concerns regarding the unsanitary conditions we encountered during our stay at the DoubleTree Gainesville on 40th. We recently evacuated due to Hurricane Milton and were fortunate to secure a room at this hotel. However, when we were tucking our children into bed, we discovered blood and/or feces on the bedding. This is not only unacceptable but also potentially hazardous to the health of my family, including my young children. We immediately removed the bedding, and I went to the front desk. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked, so we could not change rooms. While I was given a replacement comforter, we had to request new sheets separately. Although we tried to make the best of the situation, the fact remains that this level of cleanliness is inexcusable, especially for a family with children seeking refuge from a natural disaster.

My bed was a little too soft for me and the fridge had a terrible hum that kept me awake so I had to reach way behind and move heavy furniture to unplug it. My kurig was also broken and there was pretty poor WiFi in the room. Only a few channels worked and the gym equipment could not connect to the WiFi so I couldn’t use the news function on the treadmill or the peloton because it needs WiFi to work/ 2 stars.

The check-in was extremely slow - system problems and then my payment cards would not be accepted. Room size ok but very noisy despite 'double glazing' - had to use ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones to get any sleep. At first glance the room looked clean but was dusty and corners were untouched. It was easy to get to, right by the main road which probably accounts for the noise. We had an easy journey to Gainesville raceway. Do not bother with a balcony room - nothing to look at, apart from the road and way too noisy! The one positive was the shower! In summary - expensive for what you get.

Room did not have a guest chair of any kind and certainly not the loveseat pictured in the photos. Terrible shower design as the shower controls are on the wrong side. Instead of being able to reach in to start the shower without actually getting in, the door only opened on the far side and you have to get into the shower to turn it on. This means you get a blast of cold water all over yourself before you can escape waiting for the hot water. And if the hot water is too hot, you have to get in the shower again to adjust and possibly get scalded in the process. Totally stupid design that has a potential danger. The tv was the largest I’d seen in a hotel room.

The property was not very well maintained- the mirror in the bathroom needs to be replaced, the door on the closet was not hung correctly, the door to the bathroom showed water damage, one of the light shades also showed water or heat damage. We were also short one towel in the second night- not sure why other than just paying attention.

The sliding glass door handle was broken and wouldn’t lock. It wouldn’t seal well either so I heard the highway noise and sirens and such all night. Super loud. Barely slept. Unacceptable to have a broken door handle at this price point. Front desk didn’t seem to care at all. Said well ok.

Paid $40 above rack rate for horrible room on first floor near lobby bar where people yelled and were generally obnoxious until well after 1am. Parking lot view of Steak and Shake. Do not stay here if you want to sleep and don’t book on hotels.com unless you want to get ripped off.

Loved this stay! Beautiful decor and the staff were so sweet and welcoming! Sierra was amazing and gave great recommendations for places to eat and enjoy my evening! I ended up on a date because of her! 😍 A girl needed it!

The hotel was good. We stayed on the first floor. The room was clean. The only thing was the young lady at the front desk, her name was Jade, did they not process my checkout when I went to the front desk at 7:30 AM. (she appeared to be surprised that I was personally requesting my check out). I realized because the Hilton app notified me that it was time to check out so I did through the app.

The hotel staff told me I could extend my hotel stay during the hurricane weekend another day and we could stay in the same rooms. I had booked through a third party, but the person I talk to did not tell me I had to make a new reservations. So the next day I was called about 2pm and was told we had to leave and check out time was at 11. I talked to their GM manager Dan and he said they were booked and there was nothing he could do. He also said that the staff he had worked the night shift would know that I had to make the new reservations. I asked if he could take some off of my days I had already stayed and he said no. They incovenient me and my family so I had to ride around to try to find me and my kids and my parents somewhere to stay because the electricity was off at home in Taylor and we was hit directly by the storm. He did not seem to have no sympathy that one of his workers told me I could extend my stay and stay in the same rooms. I would not recommend this hotel.

Location: very central to shops, near the Uni, and close to the highway is a huge plus. Despite proximity to HW, there was no noise to speak of. The surrounding area: lots of homeless wandering around/living on the corner. Property: very clean and well maintained. Inside hotel: very clean and bright. Room: eek. Room had not been serviced when we checked in. No TP, no towels, personal items on the floor of the previous guest. Garbage in the trash although beds were made … which means that making the bed was all that was done from previous guest. The carpets were gross and the bathroom was full of hair. Lobby: Didn’t spend any time in the lobby bar area but it looked nice and somewhat busy. There was a bar tender on staff which was nice. guests in hotel were quiet. front desk was empty every time I walked by which made me feel like anyone wandering in could just make their way into the hotel. Would not stay again if given the choice.

Great location if you nee4d to be close to UF Medical or down town areas, and still be able to jump on highway for travel. The staff was especially kind, welcoming. The snack bar is great. Breakfast is a bit ordinary, but for5 the price its fine to be right across the street from First Watch. The bar restaurant has amazing food options. and delicious! Kudos to that chef!

We went to the bar, ordered a drink, tried to order pub chips, which was on the menu. They were out of those chips then we ordered with the cheese sauce to dip it in. They were out of cheese sauce to dip it in so we didn’t end up buying any food at the bar we did get drinks. The drinks were good. The room was clean however they use down pillows and down covers and for asthmatic people like me I have to be careful because I can’t use any of those wish there was an option down blankets and pillows.

Hotel is clean, nice looking, quick drive to UF. Staff is very nice and helpful when we needed to print something. Beds are comfortable and AC working well. The only thing I would not recommend is $15 breakfast which I found largely inedible, but since it wasn’t included in price of my room I’m not taking a star off for it.

It was nice for the price. However the shower was gross and the explanation of breakfast didn’t mention that it was 14.99 per person for a buffet. Not saying it should be free breakfast but it was a little much thinking it was a contnental option and my son was pretty disappointed and the buffet options were kind of limited. Location was great, right next to the highway and tons of dining options. Check in was smooth, the staff were friendly and the free chocolate chip cookie was a nice touch. The room was spacious but some items looked below par: welcome chalk sign was smudged, the table had cigarette burns, and the mirror had brown coloring around the edges. But the reason for the 3 star was cleanliness of the bathroom, there was some hair left from the previous guest and you could tell the shower floor hadn't been scrubbed because you could feel the soap scum.
