Garden Inn Homestead/Everglades/Gateway to Keys

Nice stay. The pool was really well keep.

Staff all around were great and super helpful. A bunch of stores around the area and a huge parking lot. Pool and rooms were always cleaned daily. Property was so beautiful!

The new owner has upgraded many things around the property, including the lobby. For the price, this place is fantastic. The location is just steps from several restaurants including a pizza place (Romano's), IHOP, Flagler Restaurant, and a 7-11. There is free internet and the swimming pool is sparkling clean.

My only complaint.....hardly any ice no matter the time.

We had to move hotels mid trip. All of the staff were cordial, helpful, and kind. It was super clean, quiet, & comfotable. The pool was clean and easily accessible. Housekeeping or other requests, can be made at any time via text. The have on site, washer/dryer, a pool, and offer full breakfast options every morning from 7-9.

Good place to stay while visiting the Everglades! Stayed 2 nights. Clean pool, not heated. Clean room, but water pressure is low. Breakfast with limited options but tasty and served our purpose. Beds were comfortable r area was safe. Easy and close parking spots.

We spent the night here on our way to the Keys. They had no elevator so we had to lug our luggage up two flights of very narrow cement steps. The room was not very clean. We saw a used qtip on the floor next to the dresser. Thankfully, the linen was clean and the bed comfortable. A group of people hung outside our room talking loudly, laughing, etc. about 2am. Lots of other outside noises kept us awake mosy of the night. I would not stay here again.

Rooms are not clean, shower dirty, carpet smelled

The hotel was pretty old, dirty and lots of bugs in our room. Spiders, beetles and cockroaches. The breakfast was good, had a few options. The service was good as well.

The property seemed to be fine until at night. When the ants and roaches came out, went to the front desk for bug spray and they had none move to another room and still had more ants and was not happy, checked out the next day.

Horrible experience bed bug infested!!

Nice and clean for the price

I really don’t have a preference in hotels my wife is more picky than I am, I usually just choose the cheapest option to save a buck. I guess in this situation I was a little regretful. There is an ant problem here. The room was full of tiny little ants on the floors, countertops, bathroom. I would not stay here again. Staff was nice, but the rooms are outdated and some of the furniture is broken.

I highly recommend that you do not stay here. I found dried blood, splattered across the bed.

Very clean, breakfast daily house keeping

Everything was good. Workers are sweet and helpful. The WI-FI connection sucks for the rooms at the back.

Room was tidy but needed help. Holes in the fabric on the headboard. One of the beds was very rickety. Bathroom was in need of help. Very poor water pressure. Hair from previous guest still in shower.

The room was spacious and clean. Easy access from the highway. Good parking. The bed was horrible! Lumpy, bumpy, and soft.

Super strong cleaning smell made it hard to sleep . Air conditioner blow smelly air and bed squeaked every time you rolled over and woke us up .

The front desk staff was indifferent to us. Basically went through the motions - even carried on a personal phone conversation she was having. Didn't seem to care is we were here or not. Shower pressure was poor. No shower gel or conditioner. We couldn't take advantage of the breakfast because it didn't start until 7. Surprisingly considering it's a work day. Can hear the other guests talking. And their TV ... and phone notifications. Probably could have lived with all of this inconvenience if not for the poor service at the desk. However... Not the fault of the hotel but there is a cricket in our room somewhere that we didn't notice until we were settled in to sleep - it chirped all night long and into the morning. We only came to sleep prior to heading to the airport for a flight home - and we didn't get that unfortunately.

Caution: steer clear of this place! It shouldn’t even be considered a budget motel. While the exterior may appear appealing, the interior is a nightmare. The electrical outlets are so old and worn that nothing stays plugged in, the door barely latches and requires slamming to close, the beds are worn out and uncomfortable, and the hot water and pressure are unreliable. The front desk is unresponsive, and we experienced a random overflow from the toilet that flooded our room. Now, about the front desk receptionist: she was rude, dismissive, and condescending. When I approached her to explain our situation, she coldly replied, “I’m not housekeeping, and there’s no one on duty. There’s nothing I can do for you.” I even requested towels to address the flood, only to be told they had none. As a result, we had to sleep in a flooded room with two upset children. This staff member showed no concern for our predicament. You’d be better off spending a few extra dollars at the Wyndham—Travelodge in Homestead, where Mr. Sunny Patel, the owner, takes pride in his establishment. The parking lot is clean, the rooms are immaculate, and the bathrooms sparkle. Avoid the Garden Inn at all costs.

Convenient location

Clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Perfect stop before heading to the keys, as you can pick up your supplies just down the street.

It’s a good place for a 1-2 night. We were only there to sleep and do activities during the day, and would stay there again for price and location close enough to the NP park and restaurants.

Room was great for what was needed a place to spend the night before heading to the keys. Staff was friendly. Place is dated but rooms did NOT have bugs or excessive dirt. Police didnt drive crazy in the neighborhood all night. It was great find for exceptional price.

It's close to the Everglades and the Keys, which is nice. It's not a fancy place, but it met our needs for sleeping. There's quite a few options for food nearby, which is nice. And, it has a free breakfast, which is always a nice perk when traveling.

The property had kids begging for money all over and it was noisy. They also have been avoiding refunding us for 4 weeks now for the deposit. I have called Expedia and they are working on looking into it but even the hotel won’t give any answers. I’m hoping we can get this taken care of with Expedia because this hotel is really shady.

I did not stay at the hotel. It was many suspicious people around the location so I cancelled the stay. The hotel said I was supposed to be receiving a refund so I guess you guys are going to refund it back to my card.

You get what you pay for. But this was rough. Bugs in the rooms. Breakfast was eggs and toast. Back parking lot was a block party at night. But it was cheap so I gave it 2 stars

Stayed one night on our way from Miami Airport to Key West. The rooms were as we expected for the price. The staff was great and very helpful!Had a free breakfast which had a lot of options. Would stay there again.

A fine spot to access the Everglades for two nights. Not fancy, the breakfast was pretty average (sausage in grease, powder eggs, yogurt, bread, waffles), though they did have hard boiled eggs one day and that was helpful.

Had a pleasant stay. The rooms are in need of an update especially the bathroom. Facet handle was barely attached and the tub was well stained. Staff was good and the pool was a nice clean one. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Very repetitive with few options.

It was a decent stay. The check in process was easy. Comfortable beds and hot water with enough pressure. It's an older hotel but clean. And a decent free breakfast as well.
