Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kendall East-Miami by IHG

This is the second time that we stayed at this Holiday Inn, and we were not disappointed. They are currently renovating however this did not compromise the quality of the service provided too severely. I was disappointed that the Laundry was not operational.

With renovations going on, the gym was closed, so was unable to use it. The website states airport shuttle but they do not have one. And even though I signed to have housekeeping come I didn’t see them come till the day before we left (day 3). The breakfast service was great though.

This hotel is under renovation with guests in it. The lobby is a work site. The elevators don't work. We had to climb three flights of stairs with luggage and the stairwell is also a work site. We left after one night amd i demanded a refund for two unused nights. I was told that you must authorize it. So i would appreciate it if you did.

Everything was great with the hotel and staff. Beds, bathroom and room was clean. The breakfast was a decent breakfast for an all included breakfast. (You definitely don’t find that anymore) I would recommend and stay here again. The only reason I gave them a 3 star on condition and facility is it was under construction and nothing was said to us until the night before we were to arrive which in my opinion is bad business. The construction didn’t really bother us just the parking was an issue with all the containers and equipment in the parking lot made it very limited.

They were doing construction. Which I didn’t know until after booking the trip. Which lead to me having to leave late because they turned the water off from 10 (which is checkout time) till 2

The parking lot was small and not the best. Although it is very congested in that area, I consider it a great location. Shops and restaurants are all around you. The room was great. No problems there. The hallway had a very pleasant scent. I enjoyed my stay.

The eleveator was broken and front desk told us to call, so we can get help with our luggage. Well the phone in the room was broken too.

My experience was amazing 95% except the Swimming Pool was cool and don't have no heater , my family and myself can't enjoy Swimming.

AC at the lobby was not working when we checked in, it was super hot. Even worse the next morning when we took the breakfast.

Clean spacious room. Good hot breakfast. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed.

My stay here was very convenient and close to my final destination. My only complaint is the smell of the hotel. There is strong scents used to cover up danky mildew smell.

I’ll try to make this review short and sweet. I travelled with my husband and 18month old daughter. Entering the hotel was a STRONG smell of cleaning product/chemicals to cover up the old musky smell of this hotel, which after not too long, felt like it fried my nostrils. We switched rooms 3 times all of which had the same musky smell, which the receptionist stated was due to the carpet. Room 1- Pieces/chards/shavings of wood on the floor and bed. Room 2- smelled even worse and the lights upon entering the room did not work. Room 3- found 2 open safety pins on the floor, one of which was there so long it was rusting. Used hair rubber bands, and food remnants on the floor, and the dirt was so embedded into the carpet you can tell it hadn’t been cleaned in probably ever. My husband walked around bare feet for all of 5 mins and his feet were black with dirt. The bathroom was outdated, toilet flushes like an airplane toilet, towels were dark and dingy. Keeping my family’s wellbeing, health and safety as priority we did not stay at this hotel and left the same day. Highly don’t recommend

Baby Roaches in my room and shower. I requested a baby crib and the mattress was soiled and stained. Room pictures are nothing like the actual rooms.

Older and needs to be updated...and not necessarily the "look" but like the pull out matters was either REALLY old or REALLY cheap. It was all springs and unable to sleep on. Towels were noticeably older and rough. So of theybwere goung to but a little money into hotel, but it towards the comfort.

We specifically chose a room with 2 beds and a pullout couch to accommodate our family of 6. But the pullout couch was broken. The mattress was falling through t the springs and the good spots was basically a very thin mattress over metal. 2 of my kids did not sleep. We had a late arrival so maintenance was not available and we are told there were no other rooms available. They did give us a $40 credit on our $200+ room but that doesn’t compensate 2 kids who didn’t sleep. Had planned to stay there again on our way of town but cancelled. Breakfast had many good options for a free breakfast

The room that I stayed in smelled of mold and dust. The furniture needs to be replaced due to excessive wear and tear. The AC took forever to cool down.

Renovated room are really nice. Spacious and clean. The renovations weren’t much of an issue a the daily breakfast was pretty good. Would definitely stay again.

Roomy room and very good breakfast

The staff were very kind and welcoming. The room was very spacious and provided an adequate stay for one night. However, the room needed repair and updates. Paint, carpet, and tub were old.

Hotel needs to be updated. Gym smelled like old mop. Carpet was saturated with water due to ac leaking. Our room had leaks in the ceiling due to water spots throughout ceiling area. Definitely needs an overhaul throughout the hotel. Area/Location was great. Many dining options. Mall was about 10min down the road. And 30min from Cruise Port Terminals.

The staff here are fabulous! One gentleman went to his own lunchbox for a banana because the hotel didn't have any fresh fruit for my infant grandson who cannot be exposed to anything peanut related for medical reasons!!! This man went above and beyond!

I had to stay two nights there. First night I asked for more towels and male receptionist was rude and unhelpful. He questioned me of how many people in the room after I requested some supplies for the room. We were two people staying in a suite 2 queen beds with living area and he acted like we were too many people in the room…Seriously?? Do I need to give you a reason why I asked for more supplies!! Anyway I didn’t want any room service , I only needed supplies and I like to get them first night so I don’t have to ask for them again..and he took my room number to cancel room service after he provided the towels like I should ask for supplies once a day..If your guest needs supplies, you should provide as many as they want ..Hand wash was empty when we checked in ..and again he acted rude and unhelpful..At breakfast Everything was almost empty even coffee maker..We went to get our breakfast around 9am and breakfast time from 6:30-10am..No excuse to not have more refills…I wished I had booked a room somewhere else..Your price wasn’t that cheap to have bad customer service …Other hotels could have same price with better service..I don’t recommend !

The stay was clean and a great experience outside of one interaction with Adrian at the front desk. The breakfast was always hot and plentiful. The desk staff was friendly and attentive outside of Adrian. We had the worst interaction with him one night when we simply asked if they had any kind of anti-itch cream where he proceeded to give a lecture along with medical advice when a simple no would have sufficed. In the midst of a minor allergic reaction and a very cranky toddler because of said reaction, I maintained my patience but was beyond upset at Adrian’s response to a minute yes or no question. Other then Adrian, the stay went well and we were pleased.

Parking was safe, service was excellent. There is some construction going on the first floor - but it will make it better! Appreciate fresh coffee available in lobby, freshly brewed by cup. Terrific, friendly & helpful staff. Will stay again.

holiday inn express is a solidly consistent brand, almost always worth paying a little extra for, and this one was no exception - the receptionist was pleasant, the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was good, the property felt safe, noise was not an issue - would definitely recommend

Roomy room and very good breakfast

Juice machine was always out of order. Had to wait for breakfast. But everything eles was perfect for me

Disgusting and falling apart bathroom. Very dirty room. Breakfast without basic items. Out of milk, yogurt for 3 days. TV with 8 channels.

Breakfast was terrible and I been to this hotel 3 years in a row and this time just seemed like they didn’t care which was unusual because we chose to stay there because how good they were hope they can fix it or I will have to find a different place to stay.
