When i Checked in the elevator wasn’t working carried all my luggages to 2nd floor. They said it will be repaired next day. It took a week to have it repaired. One morning there was no hot water. It took two days to have it repaired.

There is no ice machine at this property. None. Nada. Pet relief areas are not clearly marked. If your dog happens to poop in front of the property you have no where to dispose of it except to walk through the lobby, out the back door and to the designated pet relief area. I only found this out by asking. I don’t recall seeing any signs. The breakfast area was inadequate. There was no water (or ice).

The hotel is grimy and smelly, staff is indifferent. Things in room were broken or missing. But yet the hotel nickel and dimed for parking (this is a suburban hotel!) and late checkout. Due to location, I have have stayed here regularly over the years (in spite of being run down). But it is no longer cheap or friendly.

The property was clean. And most of the staff was helpful and nice. They don’t have ice on property and our refrigerator didn’t have an ice maker and it wouldn’t keep drinks cold. The breakfast bar was okay but once the food was gone they didn’t put anymore out. In the middle of the night someone with a motorcycle was right outside our window revving his engine. We didn’t complain about so I don’t fault the hotel for that. We asked the night person for a late check out and she approved. Then at 11 am someone was knocking on our door to get out. The room being clean and safe are my primary concerns and this hotel passed that. But it definitely could use improvement in other areas.

Worst overall experience ever at a Sonesta ES property! Was charged $5/night for onsite parking in a normal hotel parking lot - no reason other than a unannounced add-on at check-in. Unacceptable. Wifi never worked on multiple devices which worked everywhere else. Extremely noisy room, paper-thin walls, refrigerator clicked and gurgled constantly. Was locked out of own room on second day while at breakfast. Had to get card key reactivated by front desk, with no apologies or concern. What a mess!

5 dollars to park is bs. Breakfast starting at 7 is bs. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at is 6-6:30. I’ve never had to pay a parking fee either.

Only one (1) elevator. It was out of order. Disappointed that it is cash only. No on site vending machines if you need something to drink after hours. The room was very clean. The be was not that comfortable.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted very warmly! Each staff member I saw was friendly. My room and all the public areas were very clean and well kept. The bed and pilllows were actually very comfortable and it was nice to have a separate sitting area. It felt much more like “home” than a hotel. A hot breakfast every morning was awesome! There are many activities, shopping and dining options nearby. I felt very safe going for a run near the property. The only negative was the pool was not yet open, which was disappointing but overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay there again!

First thing I saw in the suite was a small roach on the kitchen counter. The floor was sticky and the carpet and couch were disgusting. The bathroom walls were dirty. The AC unit was extremely loud. When it was running I had the TV volume maxed out and still couldn’t hear the words.

When I visit Atlanta, I often stay at Sonesta ES due to the good location -- next to Big Creek greenway (for running), close to Avalon Mall and highway GA 400. Staff is very friendly. BUT THE HOTEL IS RUN DOWN. The owners need to replace the filthy carpet and grubby room furniture. There were no hangers (really?). No maid service. The kitchenette was lacking basic items. Fridge was noisy and rattled. Clearly the place is being run into the ground.

I stayed 10 nights. Up on check-in, the attendant told me the house rules. I wouldn’t get clean towels unless I brought my dirty ones to the front desk to exchange. It’s like a library swap because they found extra towels in rooms after previous clients checked out. Breakfast is 2 hours, period. Rooms are cleaned every 7 days. The pool is closed for season (it’s January). Laundry is free for guests, first-come-first-served basis. Should have thrown in a “Good Luck”! My room was never cleaned. The toiletries were not restocked. Breakfast was taco buffett, featuring scrambled eggs and mystery meat crumbles. Pancake griddle never worked. Coffee was brown water. Ten days, this rotation appeared. Laundry washing machine broke mid-cycle. The way the manager swung the machine out of its housing compartment looked like he’s done it many times before. That’s why there are “out of order” signs that go up and disappear daily. Temporary fixes for permanent problems. I washed my own towels. I took out my own trash. If I had a vacuum, I would have finished cleaning the entire suite. Parking was safe and free. Twice, I found several room keys in the parking lot that unlocked the front and side doors. The front desk attendant thanked me when I gave them to her. I alerted her that my room had not been cleaned. She kindly told me the manager’s hours. The only time anyone called my room or knocked on my door was to remind me of check out time. It was not quiet nor clean. Good Luck!

This property is extremely dated and the pictures weren't depicted correctly. The staff were nice although they ended breakfast before the time listed.The bed was comfortable. The suite was not kept up properly and the couch had more stains and spots than anything I've seen. There was a stinkbug in our room upon arriving, but that was probably because of the trees along the property. I would likely not return, but it was okay for an overnight stay.

The staff were so so sweet and helpful, But the Hotel management was SO SO SO Trible. HVAC Was Extremely Loud ... Outdoor HVAC unit was installed inside the bedroom, we had to put earplugs in order to sleep at night.

We stayed 4 nights. Check-in was easy. We had 2 small dogs the accommodated and they met our request for bottom floor. Room was nice nothing fancy. Our fridge did not work well and did not make ice. We notified front desk. Nothing was done to fix it. We requested a bag of ice and they tried to charge us but after some heavy discussion they gave us the ice. Pool was very nice and breakfast was descent. It was close to the amphitheater and that what we liked the most. We would stay again for short stay.

The rooms are big and the kitchenette is nice. The bathrooms are dated, causing it to look unclean. Beds are comfortable. No Smart TVs. I was disappointed in how they handled the bill. Wasn't told until check-in that theres a $100 refundable damage fee but he told me not to worry about it. What he didn't tell me was that you're charged that $100 regardless and don't get it back for 5-10 business days. It wasnt even on my bill that I signed at check out. Didnt see it until it showed up on my bank account. I've never heard of this but won't stay at another Sonesta because of this. Way to treat your guests who are respectful of property.

Every staff member I encountered was very customer focused. Professional. Friendly. The hotel is older and is wood framed construction..If you're not on the top floor you'll hear every footstep. The hotel allows dogs which is great, but with carpeting... theres a perpetual dog smell.

They called us the morning of our check in because they didn’t have what we booked available. We had to be moved into two separate rooms, each with only one bed. I had to sleep on a couch because of the change. The faucet on the shower was not secure to the wall. Breakfast area was nice and well renovated but the rest of the hotel was dingy and in need of repair. The elevator ride was actually kind of scary. Breakfast was very mediocre. Front desk was not friendly and the woman who called me actually hung up on me when I thanked her for letting us know and to have a good day. I don’t know how this hotel was so highly rated.

Pros: - Breakfast was really good home cooked options. - Front desk staff was great, when they were there. - Location - lots to do with my baby while my husband worked. Cons - We chose this hotel because they specifically offer free upgrades and parking to Hotels.com Gold members if available. When we arrived, the front desk said she had never heard of such a thing. I showed her my booking which clearly stated such, & she did upgrade me but was very rude about it & told me this was a one time courtesy. I suggested they remove it from their third party options. - The entire hotel reeked of cig smoke. Horrible with a baby. - For some reason this average hotel charges for parking? This is not a 5 star accommodation with valet or covered parking. It's a huge parking lot that was never close to full. But they charged for nightly parking for both vehicles. - Zero housekeeping. We received 2 tiny towels for 3 people for a 7 day stay. When I requested new ones, took several hours to receive and mult phone calls. - Final straw: At 10:30pm my infant and I were fast asleep and the hotel phone rang, loudly, waking up my daughter who had been asleep since 8. The front desk told me they were getting complaints a/b "multiple kids running around our room & screaming." I had 1 baby, who cannot run & was sleeping. The lady then asked me to CHECK THE NEIGHBOR ROOMS TO SEE WHERE THE NOISE WAS FROM. I was then up until 3 trying to put my baby back down. Never got so much as an apology.

We had a great stay overall. The location was the best. It was in the middle of everything we planned to visit. Very convenient. The suite was perfect for us. Very clean and comfy. Although they don’t clean up the room everyday, we just asked for the things we liked to replace. The breakfast wasn’t so good. Thanks the only complain I have. But we will stay in this chain next time if we con find it.

This was the first time I had stayed at Sonesta. It was very pleasant. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel and room were very clean...the appliances, dishes, etc. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of basics (bacon, sausage, omelettes, bagels, pancakes, cereal, etc.). FYI..One thing I was not prepared for was that you do have to pay for parking...$5 per night. Overall I would stay here again.

Staff was friendly. The carpet in our room was soaked. When i called the front deck, Dee said, "yes, several of our 1st floor rooms leak around the windows with heavy rain". She moved us to a different room on the 2nd floor which was larger. That room looked clean, but had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Looked like someone had loaded it, but forgot to press start. Breakfast was sparse, tasted ok, but not many choices.

The property needs to have some remodeling done. Our room the walls had some flaking plaster or something that had just been painted over not fixed. The garbage disposal aread stunk. The eggs didn't look good at all and the sausage was WAY over cooked. We were in the are for a medical appointment. We will choose another hotel next time.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. everything was good, except the breakfast during the week...you can only eat so many breakfast burritos with plant based meat for 4 days in a row. There were some other options like bagels, pastries oatmeal and cold cereal, but as far as warm good the selection was not very appealing. I ended up going out to breakfast my last 2 days there.

The pool was not opened when it listed it available. Breakfast had hotel renters in there loading up on all the foods and ran out out eggs. There is no hotel room cleaning unless you stay there for 7 days. You may get charged $5 a day to park on premises. Overall it wasn’t that bad but was surprised at what I’ve listed.
