One elevator of two down. Second elevator hit or miss, not functioning well. Staff needed to stay by elevator to keep it in working order. The air conditioner unit was very loud, rumbling making it difficult to sleep. The toilet seat was so low my ten year old niece complained. The bathroom shower needs an explanation on how to use.

The room we had was nice and clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, but the hotel itself could use some updates, and during our stay only one elevator was working and it was having problems where it kept getting stuck on the lobby. That was a little concerning.

Do not stay here. The carpet was filthy and smelled like mildew, and the hallways were just as nasty. The air conditioner was so loud I barely slept. The hotel is old, run-down, and clearly neglected — it needs a complete renovation, not patch-up jobs. The carpets are disgusting. The “two queen beds” were actually two full beds, and the rooms were tiny and uncomfortable. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Friendly and polite staff. However, the hotel needs a deep cleaning and upkeep throughout the common areas. Floors, carpet and elevators are dirty. Didn’t appear to be swept, mopped or vacuumed in a long while. I don’t think one of the beds was changed from previous guest, as the sheets had hair and the pillowcase had blood on it.

The hotel was somewhat clean. I had to request for a second room because the first room I was given had mold in the AC unit (please see photo) however, the second room was up to par and clean with a “mold free” AC unit vent, hotel was decent for the price. The receptionist, Jerry and Michelle was very nice.

The location was convenient for our stay! The staff was hospitable and nice. When we checked in, the nice man at the front desk stated that the cleanliness of the hotel was a priority. However, I saw different. The whole downstairs was dirty. Floors, elevator etc stood out to be unclean. I honestly feel because he said it- it stood out more. Our room on the other hand was okay. It was comfortable. There were stains on the carpet and on the ceiling of the bathroom that was noticeable.

NEKOCON ATTENDANT: Room was freezing the entire weekend as unit would not push out warm air after trying multiple times. The outside temperature was already cold and gets even colder at night. Also, switched the door sign to request towels and bedding refresh; service was two doors down when we left for the convention. Six hours later, we return and no refresh had been done.

The property is showing its age. Needs an interior facelift. The we should up, there was a leak past the reception area. When we got to the elevators there was no ac. The beds were comfortable and the room clean but the bathroom ceiling had a huge crack that seemed to have various bubbles forming - room 517. When we checked out, I did inform the front desk and they stated that they will take care of it immediately.

I did not have the best experience and was quite disappointed as this was my first time staying here since the old facility maybe 20 years ago. The room we checked into was occupied and we couldn't get in. It was strange to me that we had to accompany security as they tried to figure out what was gping on. That means carrying our belongings back and forth to the unit and front desk about 6 times before we were settled. To my understanding the hotel was booked to full capacity so there was no upgrade for our troubles and the room we were given had a bathroom that needed repairs. Several doors were in need of repair around the facility as well, but the staff was kind and accomodating.

It was a pleasure to stay here again. This our 3rf time staying at this property while dropping our daughter off at college. Austin and his southern hospitality keeps us coming back as well as the morning manager. She’s a joy. Breakfast is wonderful, beds comfortable and accessible shower was wonderful. We will be back in May for pickup.

The facility is slightly showing its age. However the staff is excellent .. friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast offers a nice choice .. we enjoyed the biscuits with sausage gravy. Will use the Holiday Inn Express on future visits to Hampton.

The Hotel Staff was Amazing, they went above and beyond to accommodate my 2 Sisters and myself as we arrived with an early check-in in our time of need. Not only were they understanding, but offered their condolence to us with sincere respect. Ms. Donna and her Amazing staff couldnt have been any better. Room was very clean, parking convenient, and our stay was quite comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Thank you again Ms. Donna and staff.

The light was out in the bathroom. The charging outlets for electronics were loose so they did not work. The elevator was scary and we worried that it would stop any second. Only one of them seemed to work consistently and it was for construction workers. Gunshots and police sirens rang out overnight. Checkout was disappointing. She said she could not print out my receipt because I booked thru a third party and I would receive an email receipt from you today. And she said I would have received a better rate by calling the hotel direct.

Big crack in ceiling of bathroom! WTH!! I do not understand the logic of starting breakfast at 7am. I had to leave at 6:15 for a 7am tennis match. I would think many people on business travel, also, need to get out of their hotel before 7am. Would have been nice to have something in my stomach.

Its was in a good location for where I wanted to stay at ..... the breakfast wasn't good and the hotel only had one working elevator and it stopped working twice during my stay there so my wife and I had to use the stairs and my room was on the 4th floor
