The apartment was nice enough and very clean. Basic, but nice. The building is very old and is advertised as being strong on security. However, the main door was open for anyone to walk in throughout our three-night stay. The only thing stopping anyone walking into the building and to our room was the lock on our bedroom door. We reported this issue through our intermediary booking agent Hotels.com. The bed was too soft for us unfortunately, although we accept this is personal choice. The lack of bedside cabinets was disappoionting - nowhere to put anything at the side of the bed. TV remote was not working initially, but with a moving around of the batteries, it then worked OK. We were happy with the comms before we left as we asked for an additional night by email and were given all the information needed to book the extra night, including the information to access the building and our room.

We tried several times to get in on the keypad, but was unsuccessful. We were let in by someone going out. If they hadn’t have been going out, we would not have got in. When we we got in , we found there were a lot of stairs and we were on the top floor. I am 72 and struggled lifting a large suitcase up all those stairs. My partner is 65 and has arthritis and walks with a stick, she found the stairs a real struggle and was hot and bothered when she got in the room We were unable to go out on Friday night, due to the stairs and also worried that we would not be able to get back into the property. Saturday we had to leave the property as we found the whole experience too stressful.

Was a bit stressful in getting into the building due to problems in communication. It is all on-line checking in and getting keys to the building and room is a multi-step process, Make sure that you have a good coverage for your phone.

Great place to stay with good facilities. Happy to recommend this for anyone needing a smart, clean place. Has all cooking facilities but we didnt cook. Nice touch to have teabags and coffee sachets but very frustrating not to have any milk sachets. Meant i had to go hunting for a shop for milk. Pillo- do consider adding little lastic pots or sachets like you get in McDonalds. Would save tired travellers a little stress. Other than thta, all positive.

Our stay was good, however when we arrived at the property a skylight window had been left open and the bedroom was flooded. I did find a mop and bucket and mopped the water up. I contacted pillo rooms who sent a housekeeper out to make sure it was cleaned up.
