For an old hotel it was clean, could be updated more in halls & lobby (brighter colors), loved the court yard access from patio. Beds were comfortable, clean hot tub, 9’ pool, quiet, updated bathroom, staff needs to be more attentive otherwise we really enjoyed the hotel and its retro architecture!

Property clean and nice river view room, one elevator on one end of building, no vending machines, purchase snacks ,etc, from office for high $$, One ice machine for 79 rooms in second floor, coffee maker did not work . Probably will not stay again, i walkes the whole second floor three times for coffee and ice ! Agent at desk upon arrival , no eye contact while on other phone conversation, second time down to desk, he was training someone and made me stand and wait with no conversation until he was done with training task before addressing me .

This resort was amazing!! The courtyard view was so peaceful! All around great stay! The only minor complaint I would have is there was never any pool towels at the pool. Other than that it was outstanding and having the river right at your doorstep was fantastic!

it appears that junior staff managing the front desk need a better understanding of why the hotel has policies in place, not just what those policies are. The hotel grounds were clean and everything was nice but the hot tub was in deplorable condition. So very dirty and smelly. I wish that was as clean as the rest of the place.

Went for the pool but pool was closed luckily close by river access so that was convenient! Pictures were a little deceiving not as nice but you get what you pay for. Not terrible not great

We love staying at this property when we travel up there for BMX. This stay was disappointing in the fact that it was over 100 each day we were here and the pool was closed starting Friday, we were told it would be open Saturday morning and it was not. We understand repairs may need to be done, but why attempt those during such a busy weekend especially when the hotel was promoted by USA BMX as a preferred hotel to stay at. The staff was rude when approached about the pool situation. Other than that we love the patios and the property is clean and very nice.

The staff was helpful and friendly....always. The fitness center was quite nice. The restaurant could be a wonderful place if marketed correctly. I found the food to be quite tasty and the staff was very nice and friendly. My only "complaint": The carpeting in the hallways was quite shabby.

Went to our first text and it smelled really strong like propane or some other foul odor switch to another room needed to Queens, but it was only a king third time I got the room that we needed with no funky smell. Gallup front was really really nice but we didn’t get what we need in the first place but it got to be fixed I also had quite a bit of black mold on the ceiling of the shower. Otherwise nice and clean place would stay again, but would check out my room before I paid.

I felt like I was staying at a night club. The music in the ballroom of the event they were hosting was shaking the walls of the whole hotel. And the participants of the event they were completely disrespectful and disruptive to all of the other guests in the hotel. My room was halfway clean with trash left behind and opened coffee containers in my room and a halfway cleaned bathroom. I was so put off from the experience that I didn’t even want to eat their breakfast offerings.

They double charged me. No one knew what to do or how to refund it. They kept telling me that the manager will contact me and take care of it but here we are still with no answers. I had to file a dispute with my credit card. As for the hotel itself ... we got there and it apparently flooded because they where actively pumping water out of the building. Upon check in though they didn't think to mention anything and acted as if nothing happened. The entire ground floor smelled of mold and dampness. Everything about our room felt dirty and wet. It was so gross.

The room was very clean. The mattress was softer than I like. There was just one wastebasket, in the living area, which I moved to the bathroom. The hallway carpet was dingey and stained. Access from the hotel grounds to the river walk was inconvenient and inadequate. The staff were all pleasant, competent, and friendly.

This is an older property but looked like a Holiday Inn Express on the picture that Expedia posted. While clean and remodeled this is an old property. The air quality in the room was horrific to say the least. The smell of MOLD through the HVAC was so strong that it was burning my eyes. I had to shut it down completely and try to sleep in a warm room. If you are sensitive to mold do not stay here. The manager did call me to talk about my complaint but could not do anything for me since booked through Expedia. I find no REAL customer service for Expedia, they just circle you around their website with no email or customer service number. NO WAY TO DO GOOD BUSINESS. I will not stay here again and will be avoiding Expedia in the future as well.

The reception desk guy asked if I smoked because he thought he smelled it on me, which I’ve never smoked. Our room had a good leak coming from the ceiling but was told there was nowhere to put us so they gave us towels to lay on the floor. Our bathroom door did not shut. The breakfast we got charged $22 for a piece of toast with peanut butter. Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and paid far too much for what we received.

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Excellent customer service and easy check-in. Our first room was perfect (5/5). When we upgraded to a suite for an extended stay, we lost our hot showers. Water is ice cold and has to run 15 minutes to reach lukewarm.

We had a river view room. It was a pleasant room. The bed was comfortable and loved the balcony. Staring at the river drinking my coffee in the morning was very nice. It was quiet enough but you can still hear the road out front, not horrible though. Checking in and out was a breeze, no issues. Decent restaurant in walking distance and a restaurant on the grounds but only at specific times. Didn't eat there, ate at Sterlings, yum! I would suggest a grab bar in the shower, that was weird. Nothing to hang on to when washing your feet. That was scary. I'm a small person but have issues with my balance. All in all it was and is a good place to stay. We have stayed here before but I have never left a review :)

The hotel is just finishing it's full remodel and it looks very nice. Our room was also nice and fresh and modern. The only minor eyesore was on the ceiling where a big 2-foot square patch was sloppily made, with paint all over the light fixture. But the amenities were fantastic! USB charge ports everywhere throughout the room. We had a very nice stay. We would come back and stay again for sure.

We told the person at check in that she might need to enter our credit card details manually (Canadian card). After having every card rejected three times, she finally listened and the card worked perfectly. ONLY place in all of US where this was necessary. ONLY place where check in staff did not listen.

The property is nice and clean. The staff was always very courteous. The problem was we booked a King room. I called and asked the day of our stay to make sure our room was upstairs. They moved us upstairs to a double queen room. I called down to the front desk and talked with the front desk clerk. They asked me to hold for a minute which turned out to be over 15 minutes. I had to hang up and call them back to get a response. I went to the lobby the next morning and asked for the manager to give me a call. Never happened. I had left that morning around 9:30. I got back around 3 pm and then was finally able to get our room moved but never a call back. I see that I got my final bill which is a little smaller than when I reserved but I do not believe covers the hassle we went through with our stay. I hope that you really did read these reviews and make adjustments accordingly.

We stayed here a couple of nights due to my husband having a surgery at nearby hospital. It was very close to the hospital which was very nice for me and it was quite comfortable. Breakfast was great. I don’t remember her name but the bartender we had was so very kind and so was the girl serving breakfast.

I loved that our patio was apart of the little courtyard. It made it very convenient for our kids to play safely and close by. The environment was very friendly. There are no vending machines and the coffee and soda are located up near the front desk, which was quite a way away from our room. The staff was all very friendly and accommodation but you can tell they are spread very thin! The breakfast bar only had one helper. She was as helpful as she could be but she should not be by herself! I appreciate everything about my stay. I just felt bad for the staff!

I ordered a kobe hamburger 20+ dollars..it was so over cooked I couldn't eat it. The hand writting on my room key packet for internet access was so bad I had to call the front desk to decipher it.....room cleaning was every other day on a room harge of over 200+ per day!!!!!

Coffee maker in the room didn't work. Breakfast buffet was terrible. Warm juice. Coffee quality terrible. Messy. Food mediocre. Should have been free. Water tasted terrible, definitely not filtered. Water fountain broken. Not enough staff. The staff that was there was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Great location and grounds were lovely. Come stay but don't eat here!
