We absolutely loved our stay at East Bay Inn. The historic hotel is stunning with exposed brick walls and chinoiserie curtains. The hotel offers free water bottles and sodas for the guests. Coffee is available most of the day and the leave delicious Savannah popcorn bags in your room. We traveled with our 2 dogs and they are very pet friendly! The dogs receive a goodie bag at check in with treats and a ball. There is a green area square directly across the street for easy walks. We were very close to wonderful restaurants and shops and even had breakfast at Two Cracked eggs with our pups inside with us! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Quick note, the parking is in a garage about a half a block down the street but the hotel covers the cost.

We enjoyed our stay at East Bay Inn. Location is unbeatable, across the street from River St and walkable to the surrounding downtown area. Debis, the hotel restaurant, was delicious. They also give you a complimentary drink at the bar which was nice. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was modern. Everything was very clean. The staff were all super friendly. We definitely plan to stay here again!

What a beautiful experience! We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff, and the amenities exceeded expectations! From complimentary drinks at the on-site bar, to discounted meals from the attached restaurant, East Bay Inn is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful, clean old hotel with charm for days. River walk, food and bars, all a short walk away.

Parking at the hotel itself is very limited but the hotel takes care of their guests with a parking pass to a parking garage that is a 2 min. walk from the hotel. The staff is great, room very clean, free drinks at the bar each night of your stay and water, sodas and coffee as well. Location is perfect we walked everywhere, never had to move the car!

We just stayed at East Bay Inn for three days this past week, and our whole group absolutely loved it. The place is small, charming, and full of that historic Savannah character. Our rooms were spotless, and I really appreciated the extra touches — every room comes with an air purifier, a sound machine, and even earplugs. (The earplugs felt a little overkill for me, but if you’re a super light sleeper and you’re facing East Bay Street, it can get a little noisy. Didn’t bother me at all.) The staff here is fantastic — everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. There’s also a bar connected to the Inn that opens at 11, and the bartenders kept things fun while making some really great cocktails, from classic drinks to craftier options. Location-wise, you really can’t beat it. You’re smack-dab in the historic district, basically at the halfway point, so everything you’d want to see or do in historic Savannah is an easy walk. Our entire group raved about their rooms and the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

Really loved the historic nature of this property. The room looked like it hadn't been used for a long time or cleaned in a long time. VERY dusty everywhere. We had four small pillows on a king bed...looked nothing like the photo. No Kleenex just empty box, super dusty. Very noisy and didn't see the ear plugs until the next day. For the PRICE I'd expect better from this property. SUPER bell hop service. The free drink ticket didn't compensate for the overall experience and price. Just thought it was over priced for the experience. Location was convenient to walk everywhere which was great. To be honest I would not return even though staff was friendly.

The moment we stepped into the room, a terrible smell hit us—a mix of dampness, old carpet, and something indescribably musty. The air vents were coated in layers of dust or possibly mold, making it nearly impossible to breathe comfortably. We couldn’t sleep without feeling like we were inhaling filth, and I had to wear a face mask to get through the night—yes, it was that bad. The bathroom was just as awful. The sink had stagnant water that refused to drain properly, making basic hygiene feel like a challenge. The floors? Sticky. The walls? So thin that we could hear everything—from the creaky floors above us to conversations in the next room. Every step on the wooden floorboards was met with loud squeaks, making late-night trips to the bathroom an adventure in waking everyone up. For a place that prides itself on being a “historic inn,” it felt more like a neglected, haunted house that no one cares to maintain properly. The staff is amazing. Kind and helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms and hotel itself is bad. Carpets are old and dirty, linens stained, furniture dirty, floor hasn’t been cleaned (found dog food). Limited towels, one trash can. Beautiful building and the opportunity for it to be amazing, but lacking due to condition and cleanliness. Again, staff was great though.

East Bay Inn has great proximity to the Riverwalk. The front desk crew was very friendly and helpful and getting us settled in. Our room was magnificent with 15 foot ceilings, original brick walls, and original wooden floors. The room amenities – – linens and towels – - for top notch. This was a very nice change of pace stay.

Beautiful building inside and out! Upon arrival, they had a little gift for our pup. Free parking lot attached to the building, complimentary (delicious) drinks at the adjacent bar. The HVAC in the room is extremely loud. The temperature was comfortable enough so we turned it off at night. Because of the wood floors you hear a bit of ppl above you walking around but it wasn't bothersome. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed 2 nights, not too bad, however a couple items noticed was the size of the TV, it was small. The bed had a slope in it as it felt like we were sleeping downhill. We could have used a couple more pillows. On a positive note the staff was exceptionally nice and the beverage certificates for happy hour was nice. All in All - a nice place, very quaint, well apppointed. The traffic noise from Bay Street was tough to listen too at times. Especially at night when trying to sleep. I don’t think we’ll be back unfortunately.

Amazingly Beautiful historic building that they have turned onto an Inn. Super location 1 street over from River St. Several parking options - at hotel (limited), Lincoln St garage, and there's another parking harage off of Bryan St. The rooms have so much character and the bathrooms have been updated. The tall ceilings are on the 2nd & 3rd floors. The sitting area was plush and we even had a great view of Bay St. Super comfortable beds and nice robes

This hotel had a great location that was perfect for walking to everything that we wanted to do. Our king corner room was very spacious and the old brick walls and 18 ft ceilings were quite unique. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend having ear plugs and a white noise machine as it is located along a busy road.

I loved the easy access to the River Front area. The staff were fabulous! The rooms were so historic, felt like I went back in time. I did not like the view from both of the windows was if a construction site which began working each morning very early. Also, the rooms have hardwood floors, so I could hear guests that were above me walking all during the night.

Wow! My husband and I stayed overnight en route to Florida. Jennifer at the front desk couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating from check in to check out. Other staff were also kind and friendly. If we find ourselves again in need of overnight accommodations in Savannah, East Bay Inn is our go-to.

This is a very nice boutique hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff and wanted to help wherever they could. Laurie at the front desk is one of the best we have seen when traveling. She was helpful with all the restaurants that would accommodate our 2 dogs. Very conversational and patient with us. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Great location and mostly friendly staff. Nice amenities like drinks out all day and a candy bowl. Most employees from the housekeeper to the handyman were kind and helpful. But the room was tired, slow drain, broken drawers, nonworking TV. When we asked the day clerk to get the TV fixed while we were gone all morning, she did not follow through. We kept our dogs out for 3 hours but it was not fixed when we returned. Same desk clerk blamed us for not being "clear" and said "I put ASAP on the ticket" as if that was all she needed to do!! No apology or offer to expedite. This older woman had not one iota of care about guest requests and comfort and should not be in customer service. She was not busy either. No guest wants to be treated that way. All other employees were warm and helpful.

Laurie at check in did a fabulous job. All staff we encounter were very good. The quaint hotel is lovely but much like older hotels, our room had a damp musty smell which I don't tolerate well. Overall however I think the staff was great and for the money the room was good.

We were so excited for our stay, started off good then we had a medical emergency and the staff was horrible stating they would not help us and we were not eligible for a refund. We hadn’t even unpacked our bags or used the room at all. Expedia was wonderful and even contacted the Inn on our behalf. but The East Bay Inn could have cared less. The East Bay Inn cares only about the almighty dollar and not their guest.

This hotel is in a great location, right across from the riverwalk and very close to lots of restaurants. Onsite parking is very limited, but it's free, which is rare to find in downtown Savannah. Hotel itself is very nice. Period decor makes you feel like you are in another era, but with all modern amenities. Rooms are very nice and clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Has a restaurant on site only open for breakfast and lunch and a bar open until late at night that takes complimentary drink tickets given to hotel guests. Parking on site if paid as part of room cost. Water and individual bags of Savannah Rae's popcorn gratis in room.

Not a place to stay if you are interested in quiet. Bay Street is a 4 lane street and traffic was steady til way past midnight and started up again around 6:00 am. We could hear people in the room above us due to the wood floors. You could hear voices of people walking past the front and side of the building. Lastly, the ice machine was right outside our room. Need I say more. I guess that is why we were greeted with earplugs on our nightstand when we got to our room. In summary, I would not stay here again.

We just stayed at East Bay Inn for three days this past week, and our whole group absolutely loved it. The place is small, charming, and full of that historic Savannah character. There’s also a bar connected to the Inn that opens at 11, and the bartenders kept things fun while making some really great cocktails, from classic drinks to craftier options. Location-wise, you really can’t beat it. You’re smack-dab in the historic district, basically at the halfway point, so everything you’d want to see or do in historic Savannah is an easy walk. Our entire group raved about their rooms and the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at East Bay Inn. Location is unbeatable, across the street from River St and walkable to the surrounding downtown area. Debis, the hotel restaurant, was delicious. They also give you a complimentary drink at the bar which was nice. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was modern. Everything was very clean. The staff were all super friendly. We definitely plan to stay here again!

The rooms are absolutely beautiful! Everything was spotless in the room. Beds were comfortable. The complimentary water, soda, and coffee in the lobby was appreciated. Make sure to eat it Debbie's restaurant for breakfast within the hotel, it is great! The location is excellent, right across from River Street. Easy to walk, felt very safe at all times.
