There was only one functioning elevator. I was trapped two times in the elevator because the elevator door wouldn’t open. Another time the whole elevator shook violently before opening. The stairs could not be used because the stairwell doors were locked. I had used the alarm button and phone in the elevator but got no response. The front desk told me that it had been fixed. Not reality!!!

A bit dated but clean. The employees were helpful. Parking is included. Easy to take an Uber to the major attractions and free shuttle to a metro station is provided should you wish to use it. Breakfast is included. Safe area away from the hustle and bustle of the main traffic.

The elevator on this property is old and it gives the sensation that it can get stuck at any moment (it kind of did for a couple of seconds). It’s scary. Other than that, everything else was pretty normal/average. We stay there for 2 nights with 3 kids. I liked the breakfast and the ice machine. My oldest son liked the sofa bed. The TV did not really work but we were there mostly to rest at night, not to watch TV. There are nice restaurants within walking distance. Easy check in and out. The rooms seemed clean, but my son saw/found cooking underneath the bed. Overall and for the price, a good experience. I would stay here again.

Elevator was not working properly. And wouldn't have to sit on Elevator waiting for doors to open. Sometimes it would take several minutes after reaching floor. At one point another person and i thought we were stuck for good. I ending up just staying in my room not wanting to take anymore chances with the Elevator.

Easy drive to the Cemetery, which was what we were in town for. Staff was very kind and polite. Breakfast was very basic, which was fine. However, hot items were on the cooler side. The room was exactly what we needed. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to move around in. The building did, however, have an odor of old cigarette smoke.

The breakfast was very good. The hallways smelled like Dog pee on level 200. The staff were very kind and friendly. The room was clean. The furniture and overall property were worn down and needing repair and an serious update.

We had one room booked, but the first room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, so we refused it. The second room had an overpowering pet odor, so we had to refuse that one as well. The front desk upgraded us to a suite, which was thankfully acceptable. Unfortunately, housekeeping later left the door to our suite ajar after cleaning. We were lucky nothing was stolen. Staff were polite and tried to make things right, but the experience raised concerns about both cleanliness and security.

Breakfast was pretty good The elevator was a terrifying experience The room and bathroom are very old and look old, but they're ok I have some concerns about the cleaning of the room. The carpet was kind of sticky and the wall next to the door room was stained with coffee I guess The parking and breakfast were included in the price which was excellent compared to the other surrounding hotels Highly recommended if you have a tight budget and if you're not that picky.

The hotel was ok, staff friendly but the water fountain was out of order with no sign indicating that. While the room was clean there was an unpleasant odor. As I looked around I noticed what appeared to be black mold in the slots of the ac/heating unit. You can see it in the photos I uploaded.

We booked the room for 5 people- 2 in each bed and 1 on the sofa bed. The mattress to the sofa bed was ripped to pieces and there was no bedding for it. The mini fridge didn't work and we were only given 4 towels each day for 5 people. Our wing of the hotel smelled like old urine and the AC both in the hall and our room were subpar. Wallpaper was coming off the walls and one of the elevators was broken, with no sign on it. My husband got stuck inside of it. Free parking was a perk but the room itself was pretty terrible.

This is a typical lower-tier hotel, similar to a Super 8 — definitely a 2 to 3-star property that shows its age and needs major upgrades. The rooms are dated, with old, worn-out carpet and a bathroom that features an outdated red heat lamp. My shower was broken upon check-in, but maintenance was prompt and fixed it right away. On the positive side, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, providing a good night’s sleep. I was a solo traveler who needed a night to stay at a reasonable price. The room was a bit dated, but the room was clean and tidy. I think the one big issue is noise. The windows are thin and the hotel is adjacent to a busy street so you do hear the odd car with loud speakers roll by. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy.

Property is walking distance to the Washington Metro and many restaurants. The place is neat and clean and parking off street is good. The location is good. the place looks like it was built in the 1980s and is beginning to look dated. The room was fine but the A/C was not the best and the sink in the very small bathroom was very slow. The price was right for the area and I would stay there again for sure.

I would recommend staying here. The area is nice, the staff was friendly, and the room was spacious although the bathroom was very small. Breakfast was good & free - they had 2 waffle irons, bagels, okay donuts & muffins, eggs & sausage or bacon in the warmer, hard boiled eggs, cereal & oatmeal, but get there early because they ran out of some things like yogurt & fruit. Parking was free. It was a half hour away from the Zoo, which is why I stayed there. I would stay here again.

Overall, our stay was nice. Our room 203 was spacious, above one of the car entrance facing the street. But it was quiet except for the humming of the AC. However, the room was at the very far end of the building, quiet but a bit of a walk to the elevator. Breakfast was good.

The hotel was ok. Average in every way. The issue is that my wife left $300 worth of make up in a nice bag and she knows for a fact she left it there. They’re saying they don’t have it. In other words it was stolen. Nothing a hotel can do makes up for stealing from you. We’re cool people and I never leave bad reviews but theft with apathy thrown on top? One star. GFYS

When we checked-out, we inadvertently left a black zipper case containing my wife's Beats Headphones. We immediately called the hotel, and they asked housekeeping if the headphones turned up. They said no. That is impossible. We know exactly where the headphones were. My wife thought I picked them up. I thought she picked them up. Unfortunately, neither us picked them up. They were sitting on the desk. Clearly, the housekeeping staff took the headphones, kept them and lied about it. Those headphones were a gift from our daughter a month before. We are flabbergasted by the outrageous lies and deceit of the staff. We really would like the headphones back or to be reimbursed for the theft. The attached picture shows what the case looks like. I have the same headphones, and the picture is of my case.

I got an embraced situation because of the staff. Initially, the staff found the situation in finding the reservation, and later they allocated a room which was already occupied. It was so unpleasant, and I won't encourage this property at any cost.

Room was clean and comfortable but nothing special. The person working the front desk was terrible. I needed to put our luggage in storage. She hands ME the key to do it myself. When I came back to get it, no one was at the front desk for almost 15 minutes or so. I was looking for someone, knocked on the door. Noticed that the phones were taken off the receiver. I walked to the rear near the kitchen and asked if someone was working the front desk and was told she’s coming. She walks up and says to me, yeah? I said I’d like my luggage that’s in the storage room. She doesn’t say anything to me and looks annoyed that I’m there again. Hands me the key while she proceeds to put the phones back and takes a call. I grab my luggage, hand her the keys, says nothing but she’s talking to a guest on the phone and says if you want something, you’ll have to come down here and get it yourself. Wow! She shouldn’t be working at the front desk. And I’ll never stay there again. The person who checked us in the prior evening was very nice!!

The hotel was within reasonable walking distance of Ballston Metro station and there are two Bus stops right in front of it. The metro shuttle they provide is nice, but we never used it since it was only hourly and it is easily walkable. The room was gigantic, there were two of us, but even with four people, it would not have been cramped because there was ample floor space, a desk with a chair and a sofa. Breakfast was relatively good, but the amount of waste produced due to single-use dishware and cutlery was rather unappetizing. Our overall impression was very positive, but communication with the hotel was basically non-existent - I tried to contact them before with a question I had, but they never replied.

I’ve stayed at this property three times now. It’s in a great location that is safe and convenient. Although it’s an older hotel, it’s always spotless and the staff is always friendly and courteous. It’s always been quiet as well.

It was a great place to stay at for the price I paid and very close to downtown D.C. The room was spacious, with clean beds and bathroom. The manager at the front desk was a very friendly lady. I will definitely recommend this place.

Great find if you're visiting the DC area! Awesome and plentiful free breakfast, free parking and and a great room rate too. And it's only a 10 minute walk to the Metro! Bedroom was spotless and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!
