We wanted a nice hotel within walking distance of the Back Bay Boston Amtrak station. We got a great price from Hotels.com. The Charlesmark Hotel fit the bill. We really enjoyed walking around the Back Bay Area - we saw the Public Garden, the Charles River and we loved the 20% discount we got from the Landwer Cafe, though there are other great restaurants nearby.

Friendly greeting, easy check-in. Room is small bathroom even smaller. The room was clean very little comfort. The desk is a pullout tray with a folding chair found in the half closet. The desk was quite uncomfortable for any extended period of computer work. The bed was so soft that my feet were actually higher my buddy. Light bulb out in my bathroom, less than bright. I had dinner in the restaurant next-door, it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. And breakfast in the morning was supposed to be coffee and a croissant but after waiting for 40 minutes drinking coffee, I never saw any croissants. A whopping $$57 in added fees, Copley Square is a very expensive place to stay. I’m not a jerk and usually leave good reviews but I tried with this hotel and I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

This a great hotel in the heart of Back Bay, so you can comfortably walk to just about anywhere. Super cool that’s it’s located directly across from the Boston Public Library! Great recommendations from several staff members about things to see, visit, food to try, etc.. We will definitely have to keep this one on the list for future visits.
