Lovely accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Bathroom was small in room 220. Gym was clean and well stocked with machines and free weights. Pool was busy with loud kids. Appetizers in the pretty restaurant were 7 out of 10

Fantastic location, great staff, incredible breakfast There is a Starbucks in lower lobby as well. The place is super clean, beds are comfortable & we enjoyed the sun deck, our grandkids loved the pool!

The staff knew the pool was not available, they did not update online bookings. When asked about they said the info can't be posted immediately. They informed us at check in regarding the pool and said it would be available at 6am, we checked at 7 still not ready. When you have small children looking forward to the pool it's sad, they offered another hotels pool but it's to much to travel with the little ones

Great location for a tourist. Loved the gym and pool and outside area. However, the parking fee of $70 is very expensive, especially considering how much we paid for the room for one night stay, more than $500, and that is without breakfast. Also, the room oddly did not have a sitting chair in it. The side table was present, but the place for the chair was empty. In addition, I used the APP to be notified when my room was ready, but it did not work. I was already in the room when I was notified that I can check in now.

We checked into our room only to find the bathroom in a filthy manner. Hair and foot prints all over. Very gross. They did move us to another room, which was in better condition. Area is great. Close to North End and Quincy Market.

The hotel seemed nice, and staff friendly. But got a room with dirty glasses, countertops not cleaned, bathtub had hair in it, wasn’t washed. Not happy. The only thing that seemed cleaned was the bed and sheets (yes I did check). After a long travel day, getting to the hotel late, I crashed and slept and left in the morning. Honestly for the money and brand, I would have expected more. Never staying at this hotel. I normally love Marriott hotels, but this was sub-par.

This is our second annual trip to this hotel, and once again what an outstanding stay! The staff are all professional, courteous, and friendly. The location of the hotel is outstanding as well! Walking distance to the north end, to Faneuil Hall, to the aquarium, and to the touring attractions. The amenities the hotel offers are outstanding as well, from the restaurant, to the pool to the cleanliness of the rooms. Everything was outstanding, and we will definitely continue this tradition and go back there again! Thank you!

Feels like the cleaning service of the hotel isn’t that great. The first room we got there was something that was brown smeared on the light switch, and looked like tooth paste on the shower glass and the mirror still. Overall the hotel room was okay but at the price point there are newer and nice hotels you can stay at. Not a lot around the hotels if you’re looking for a quiet place then it might work better for you. That being said it might be busier in the summer.

For half the cost, this hotel would have been fine. The location was excellent. The premium we paid for a harbor view was ridiculous--we were on the second floor with a half-view of the harbor blocked by another building and a half-view of the local park. The beds were lumpy, the toilet wobbled, and the tiny bathroom had only a tub-shower combo. We splurged thinking the views and location would be worth the extra cost, but we got at best a 3-star hotel in all respects other than location.

The location cannot be beat! This property is walking distance to restaurants, shops, water cruise, aquarium. For location alone, I’d stay here again. But the property is outdated. The rooms looked very dated. Several outlets did not work (including the one where the coffee machine, fridge, and front lights were). Carpet looked old. Mattress was stained. To be spending so much money at a Marriott property and not have updated amenities was disappointing.

The location can’t be beat. We loved our view of the park and the harbor. Staff is friendly. Three observations: 1) very noisy because the door faces the open center so the noise from lobby three floors down was clear as day. 2) the bathroom sliding doors did not close affording little privacy 3) the “free” Wi-Fi is unsecured and unreliable, forcing one to pay $16/day for wifi for ONE device. We chose to use our data and skipped the wifi all together. Certainly a strange thing in today’s world, especially for the cost of staying of here. But the room was comfortable and clean, and being so close to everything made up for these little inconveniences.

Best location near the harbor which is close to the subway, Quincy Market, good restaurants, ferry sytem and Aquarium. This Marriott is in a safe area where jogging and walking is comfortable. The rooms are quiet and clean. The staff is extremely helpful. No major complaints but the pricing is steep and the resort fee is inconvenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind the price. Loved our stay and would like to return to this hotel in the future.

My trip started off with my room not being ready when promised. Apparently they give preference to some guests to stay until check-in time. Paying 700 a night, one would figure the would insure what was promised would be delivered. In fact, it wasn’t ready for 30 minutes after that and we were forced to miss our dinner as we were not up to dress code. They said they would take money off the daily rate and they didn’t. They also charge you a destination fee and tell you they will credit 25 a day if room service or the restaurant is used, they didn’t apply it. They are very sketchy with charges and billing. Given how much I paid and we missed plans due to their inability to deliver what was paid for and promised, as well as not receiving the promised discounts, I would advise potential guests to go elsewhere. You don’t get these issues at four seasons

I arrived at 4:15 for a 5pm wedding. my room wasn't ready because elite marriott members get a late checkout. So I was given a temporary room to get ready for the wedding. When I checked back at the front desk for a key to my room after the wedding ceremony I was told the temporary room was my permanent room which didn't have enough beds for my husband and kids. I insisted. they then said I could have my regular room but it wasn't yet ready. So I came back again later and they gave me a key to my new room. When I walked to my room they had moved our luggage (good) but there was a bag of linens and another bag of trash in the hallway outside of my room. When I checked out the next day the trash and linens were still there. I let Marriott know this was unacceptable for a $540 room before taxes. I did hear back from someone who said they were sorry and would try to do better next time. Honestly they should have given me a certificate for a free night at the hotel. It was not a good experience, though a great location.

My co-workers and I had an amazing stay! We were in Boston for work and could not have asked for a better experience. The valet gentleman and hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Our suite was beautiful, equipped with everything we needed and plenty of space for three people. Room service breakfast was delicious. There is so much to do in the area including a quick walk to the North End! Big thank you to Coleen Winfrey for arranging our early check-in. She truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend Boston Marriott Long Wharf!

Staff was off the charts awesome in accommodating our needs. Only 2 things that were not so good. I ordered a cookie plate for the room which was supposed to include 1 white & 1 chocolate milk. We received 2 white milks which tasted like curdled cheese. 2nd issue was that we did not want to be disturbed. The cleaning lady was outside of our room making a ton of noise. Made it difficult for us to truly relax.

This hotel is in a good location- right near Quincy Market, but also very crowded with tourists. When we visited, the bathroom door in our room was broken, the hot water went out and we were unable to shower during our one night stay, there was no shower gel in the room (containers were empty) and the refrigerator was broken so our food went bad. We told the staff about this multiple times and none of them seemed to care. The service of the desk staff was impersonal and flippant. I would not recommend this hotel.

So my family and I were excited to visit the city and stay at this particular Marriott since it was located right in downtown near exhibits. We decided to spend extra and get an executive suite which seemed great. Fast forward to our arrival and we’re told the only suite that was left was a “handicapped” suite and that was our only choice. Absolutely ridiculous. Staff was extremely unapologetic basically giving the impression, “you don’t like it, you can leave……” This suite was not inexpensive. You might think, “is there a big difference between this and a regular suite?” Trust me, there is. Imagine bringing your beautiful dress and tuxedo for a great time on the town and there’s not one place in the entire suite to hang your clothes? Everything is set up for a person in a wheelchair. No doors on the shower. A folding bench in the shower. Honestly, it felt more like a hospital room than a luxury suite. When I went down to the check in afterwards to speak with staff or the manager I was met with blank stares and the same attitude as when we checked in. While I had hoped for some consideration in the fact that we had pre-booked this suite weeks earlier I was met with the feeling that it was my fault. We ended up making the most of the time we had, but I would not go back to this particular Marriott given the experience that I had with my family. Certainly not worth the money that we paid.

Perfect central safe location for my family’s first trip to Boston. Could walk to the markets, right next door to the carousel and aquarium. All the tours leave from the back side of the hotel right on the wharf. Will absolutely return. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

Great location and our room was nice. The front desk folks and doormen were wonderful! The only disappointing thing was the room service- it was expensive and you were really just ordering take out. Our food came in plastic containers rather than on plates and paper cups vs a real mug. The gym facility was outstanding and the pool was also nice. I highly recommend- just don’t order room service.

Great room and food. The communication from the front desk leaves a lot to be desired. They need to make sure they EXPLAIN the $30/day fee and the "free" $30 you get for each day. It\'s confusing and no one was on the same page. Nice people at the front desk but need to be trained better to know the "rules". Also - most of the staff at the restaurant were pleasant but there was one server who was super rude. She waited on us 3 times and every time she was rude. Never checked back in. The rest of the staff was great at the bar and restaurant. The hotel is within great walking distance to many attractions and is very safe. Tons to do around the hotel as well. Great restaurants in the area too. HIGHLY recommend this hotel for it\'s comfort, room size, cleanliness and the majority of the staff. I will return here.

This was a great location to experience Boston. There are lots of tours that begin and end outside of this hotel. There were so many places to eat nearby. The hotel food was not to shabby either. Except their boston claim chowder was very disappointing. I would definitely stay here again.

My co-workers and I had an amazing stay! We were in Boston for work and could not have asked for a better experience. The valet gentleman and hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Our suite was beautiful, equipped with everything we needed and plenty of space for three people. Room service breakfast was delicious. Definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed at.. ever. Including the all-inclusive resorts. The service, cleanliness, and convenience were great. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was fantastic. When returning to Boston we will only book here
