The only working elevator of two is on the verge of breaking and killing someone, the doors will close on your arm and it shakes and drops at each floor. The hotel itself is outdated and in disrepair, open electrical boxes, mismatched paint and no exhaust van in the bathroom. Would not stay here ever again.

Was not easy to find the entrance of the hotel. Lobby looked a bit runned down. One elevator was out of order. But the room was very clean and comfortable! Nearby was a mall with many stores and restaurants. Would stay again.

They sold the pool, there was no breakfast and the elevator was not functioning when we left. The room doors did not automatically close at all. (No closers). (I thought fire codes required self closers on room doors.)

Value for price was good. Building is showing its age. One elevator (of 2) was out of service. Same one as two years ago. Otherwise it was fine. Room was comfortable. Shower was good. Bed and pillows were great.

There was an old bandaid stuck to the non working lamp. Water damage to the wall in the bathroom. The toilet had not been flushed from what I assume was the previous guest. Gross.

Entire place smelled like smoke, shower was dirty. House keeping didn’t come and I stayed 2 nights. Used my credit card at the front desk and haven’t used it in months and it was compromised the next day. So overall don’t recommend the red roof in Woburn

The hotel is dilapidated. Our room was in rough condition and the chair in the room was incredibly filthy. There are drug users on the property, inside the lobby and hallways. The entire hallway smells like pot and there were a few dogs howling and barking and one time a pitbull was roaming the hallways by itself. Our AC leaked water on the floor making for a very wet room. No one came to clean the room on our second night and didnt provide any towels or soap. Staff were mixed. Some would simply stare at you without acknowledgement or interaction. The elevator was broken also. I would not only not return to this place, but I would never use a Red Roof again if this is what they offer.

Wouldn’t recommend. Rooms are not clean. When we first entered our room we were met with a strong odor, first thing we see in the bathroom is a very much used & unflushed toilet with the lid wide open…well that’s where the smell was coming from. It must’ve been sitting there awhile. Whole room smelled like a porta potty. Not sure how that was missed, they must not clean the bathrooms or toilet at all. The tub was also dirty, there was hair and specks of makeup in it. For $150 a night I’d at least expect a clean room. Not worth that price point at all.

The microwave in the room was not working. The inside of the coffee maker was very dirty and there was already used coffee inside. the safe in the room didn't work and was a decoration . some of the tv remote control buttons didn't work . Tip to staff, DO NOT put families with kids on upper floors. both nights heard a lot of stomping around above our heads. called to complain 1st nite and was really not taken seriously by clerk. Also may need to invest in thicker walls. Could hear people having sex next to my room that I was in with my granddaughter!!

Getting there and parking was easy. It’s around a lot of shops and restaurants so that was pretty convenient. The room was spacious and clean. The furniture was in good shape. Air conditioning worked pretty well for a comfortable nights sleep or just to be in the room during the day. The tv had a bunch of working channels. The staff was friendly. Overall, good place to stay short or long. I would recommend, especially if you’re trying to visit Salem and don’t want to spend $$$

Conveniently located next to shops and dining options (walking distance) and only a 15 min drive to Salem which was the purpose of our trip. Rooms could be updated some but overall, the room was comfortable and clean. I would not only recommend, but I will also be back at another time.

The full beds were very uncomfortable. Unfortunate. They had no queen bed bedrooms. But the shower was amazing! strong pressure nice hot water! Not sure why they called it the red roof plus there was no plus about it no pool no breakfast and no coffee in the lobby.

Overall, it was an okay stay. However, Bed was a bit uncomfortable, AC unit not cooling enough, Tv was not working properly and lack of options to enjoy. There was a door connecting to the next room which was a bit uncomfortable. Gives you a feeling of lack of privacy. 3/5 stay. Would not recommend unless it’s only option.

The desk in room was bent/ not flat. The tub had rust and looked mildewy. There was no shower chair/ bathroom was small and wouldn't fit a wheelchair in it. It is partially ada compliant but not fully.. The staff were friendly but not very forthcoming with information. We were able to check in early which was nice. The incidental fee of $150 is taken fully out of bank and refunded not put on hold. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in other rooms. Experience wasn't the greatest.

The staff was unfriendly and dresses unprofessionally. The male at the front desk was not groomed and looked like he was homeless. Carpet was old and un kept. Bad smell throughout the floor. Pillows were bad seem very dirty. Window were not cleaned had a film on them. Elevator was out of order and the other one was seemed to go out next. I stood at red roof twice this year in different states and both were disgusting. Never stay in red roof again. I don’t care how cheap it is. Picture don’t tell the truth.

Went to check in around 7:00pm, only to find there was no room for us, even though we had a reservation. Apparently the cleaning staff didn’t service a bunch of the rooms. We had to cancel and find another (much nicer) hotel. The only good thing I’ll say was the person at the front desk was very nice and professional.

Housekeeping didn't come even per request. I even asked for a towel after 3 days stayed. I didn't get it. When called downstairs to request some towels because they didn't clean the room, housekeepings don't speak english, not even a simple English word.

We were just looking for a place to stay overnight near Salem. This seemed like a nice enough place. We got there and Hotels.com had really messed things up. They gave me a bad itinerary and we didn't have a room to check into. Thankfully, Genesis was on the ball and never gave up until we had a room! She dealt with two Hotels.com representatives and was extremely patient, and in the end we got an upgrade and a little care package. Thank you, Genesis, for being so helpful with us! The room was great and we had a ton of fun, thanks to you and the colorful cast of characters we met that night.

Despite booking 5 months in advance when we arrived at the hotel after a long day travelling we were told we didn’t have a reservation It then became apparent they’d checked someone else into our room and charged my credit card!! We did get a room eventually however there were hairs on the toilet, in the shower and in the beds.

We booked a nightmare hotel before the Red Roof Inn+ and I should’ve just booked with them from the get go. The check in man was so friendly, nice, and helpful!! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. This hotel was affordable and nice. This isn’t applicable to my family, but the hotel is very dog friendly which was great to see! I definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the Boston area! It’s very close to the highway also.

Tried to check in after the 3pm check-in time and after driving for 6 hours and were told the person at the desk didn't know what to do and I had to wait 20 minutes until someone else came back. The shower also didn't drain well and would start to back up

The door to the outside was unlocked during the night. Homeless people were hanging around the door. Saw empty bottles of liquor on pavement outside the door. One person was in the hallway outside our rented unit and asked if she could use the bathroom. The bathtub shower didn’t work. We are an elderly couple and I didn’t feel safe in this hotel. I asked the front clerk if the back door should be unlocked and he said he didn’t know . This was a terrible experience

Not the nicest place. It was livable but not very clean, and the lack of pool, gym, and breakfast is a bummer. The saving grace was that it was not so expensive, though definitely not cheap by any means.

Stayed here with my wife and son. The first room they gave us was disgusting—when we unfolded the couch bed for our son, a cloud of dog hair and dirt flew out. We were literally choking. I went to complain and they moved us to another room, which was tolerable at best—dated, worn down, and still felt grimy. On our last night, while waiting in the lobby for food delivery, I watched two different guests check in and get sent to multiple dirty rooms. One guy found leftover Panda Express and other signs his room hadn’t been cleaned. The second room was also dirty. He was so tired he offered to clean a room himself if they gave him fresh sheets. They eventually got him into a third room. Another guest had the same experience—first room was dirty, had to be reassigned. The only positive I can mention is that the front desk staff were polite. When I asked for water and the vending machines were empty, they gave us bottles free of charge. But nice staff doesn’t make up for a filthy hotel. Would not recommend. Won’t be staying here again.

Unfortunately for the Red roof Inn, this is not the location one would want to visit… especially if it’s going to set the tone for the rest of them. It s not do to staff or cleanliness, those were fine. The property and facilities were lackluster. No ?Decor?, or complementary breakfast, not even some sort of kitchen’et microwave, fridge with goodies nothing available (which are available in most places at the minimum). They only had vending machines and those weren’t even working…only drink, vending machines, no snack/food vending machines. Thankfully there were places to eat or drink nearby. And I suppose the worst offense if you’re going to have a sign that says red roofing plus there should be a plus and it should be a positive one. I would not choose to visit this location to stay in again.
