Unfortunately, this place is a dump. It's run down and needs a lot of renovation and upgrades. Duncan at the front desk was nice and he tried to help by giving me an upgrade. The bad part is that if this was an upgrade, then I would hate to see the regular room. The room was "clean", but still felt dirty. The floor felt like it had been mopped with a dirty mop. My socks got dirty from walking on the floor. In the bathroom, there was no rod for the toiletpaper, so it was just sitting on the back of the toilet. There was no stopper for the bathtub, so you couldn't take a bath unless you jammed a wash cloth or something down the drain. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall, so I don't know if it even worked. The ac/heat unit didn't work very well. The vent was caked in dust/lent and the slats were broken out. The bedspread had holes in it that had been cut out and burned with a cigarrette (even though this was a non-smoking room), and of course stains. The curtains also had holes in them and you could see light coming in through the holes. They provided a coffee maker that made one cup at a time, but no cups to make coffee in. There were only plastic cups that would have melted with hot coffee in them. The hotel wqasn't exactly cheap either. I think they raised their prices (but not the quality) because there was a marathon (which is why I was there) in town and some locals told me there was a big soccer tournament in town that weekend too. This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life, and I stay in a lot of them for both work. And pleasure. Thank goodness.I had booked a room with two beds because one of the beds, not only was the white comfort her, but also the white sheets were staying a disgusting color brown. Light filtered in from around the door because of the gaps and when I entered the room. The heater red at 58°. I turned it up as high as it would go by morning. It had warmed up to sixty two degrees. There was an unusual reddish brown stain on the curtain that was broken. That looked suspiciously like body fluids. There was no bath mat, so I used one of the white towls to put down in front of the shower so that I would be safe getting out of the tub when I took a shower By the time I was done standing on that towel. The underside of it was a disgusting brown because the floor was so dirty. There was also an incident when I was trying to check in where the front dusk clerk was verbally accosted by another guest, and the security guard almost seemed to side with the guest versus the innocent woman who was just trying to do her job. It was very late at night. And I had run out of options for places to stay so I stayed for the night, but the next morning, I marched down to the front desk very early and demanded a full refund of which, after I showed them pictures of all of the things that I have named plus a few more. They gave without one word. This was by far one of the most disgusting hotels.I hav
