The parking lot was well-lit and secure; the building was well-maintained for cleanliness. Food in the breakfast bar was sufficient, although I wish there was more selection for dry cereal (raisin bran, corn flakes), but the waffle maker performed well! One issue I had was lack of hot water for the sink for shaving at night; while the tub and shower had sufficient hot water, the faucet at the sink was cold, even after running the water for a good 2-3 minutes. Staff was alerted to this issue. Like many places we visited in Traverse City, the 'pot holes' were usual and customary. The parking lot here was good; construction immediately nearby, although quiet during the night, had its usual noises but other than than, this location served us well.

Great staff people. quick check in and out. good breakfast selections. comfortable room, clean pool and hot tub. plenty of parking. have stayed here before, years ago but they've obviously kept a commitment to their guests comfort over the years. excellent location, close to town and most venues in the area yet located away from the hustle and bustle of a growing city. they are doing it right at this Baymont

Staff was friend and accommodating but the bathroom was dirty and the shower bar was broken. It actually fell on me while I was showering. The pool area was really worn down, dirty, and the control to the hot tub jets was broken.

The room was super nice. You could hear everything from the floor above unfortunately. The indoor pool area was leaking in 2 spots and one of them the ceiling had actually fallen in. Including a light fixture. The pool had a bunch of floaties from all the ceiling water leaking into it.

The hotel staff were great! Very friendly, very helpful and prompt with a couple requests we had. The hotel overall was OK. The linens were clean, but overall, the room wasn’t as clean as expected. Dusty vents and fixtures as well as dirty corner areas of the room and bathroom. The beds were ok but not great. The breakfast and lobby areas were clean. The breakfast was decent as expected. The pool and hot tub are both pretty big and in good condition.

This is a very nice, clean, well-maintained hotel. Quiet rooms. Good a/c unit, which is not always the case. We would definitely choose this hotel again the next time we’re in the area.

We stayed on the 2nd floor and towards our side of the hallway it smelled like steamed Brussel sprouts or some sort of water damage had happened. In our room the bottom of the cabinet had water damage, and the ceiling in the bathroom had what appeared to be mold spores growing. Our room appeared to be missing a section of curtain as there was a huge gap between the curtain and window where we can see the parking lot lights while trying to sleep. Our room also smelled strange to where we had to buy room fresheners. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Overall it was mediocre for the amount of money we paid for 2 nights. My group overall agreed we would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again when we return to Traverse.

Our room smelled like urine. The carpets were filthy and felt nasty to walk on. In the morning we asked for fresh towels and for the garbage in our room to be emptied, neither were done. Breakfast was good, several food options to choose from, not enough seating in breakfast area. Would like to add that the hot tub has a climb up ladder to get in and out, not stairs. It was very hard for my husband to get in and out.

For what we paid, I expect more. The staff was friendly and sometimes accommodating but my request for an extra pillow was ignored. The lobby coffee did not include half & half creamer nor Spleda/Equal. Thank goodness there were several retail coffee options within 5 minutes of there. After the first day, our keys did not work, and we had to get them reprogramed. The carpet of the hotel room was so dirty that when you walked from the shower to the bed, your feet got visibly dirty. No kidding. The shower pressure was modest at best. The beds were not very comfortable. If I had paid $120 per night, I could overlook these things but at over $250 per night, I expect more. It was a good location however with several dining and coffee options nearby. Parking was free. I will not stay here on my next trip to Traverse City.

We stayed here last minute. Didn't check in till late. The room was dirty and smelled of mold. The sheets had dark visible stains. The curtains were even moldy. I have pictures to add but for some reason it won't let me. The breakfast area was clean and food looked appetizing.

Let’s just say we almost booked a different hotel or leave early even though it was only two nights. There were crumbs and food under the bed, food and trash behind and underneath furniture, in the fridge. The toilet seat continuously slid and disconnected. There was a disgusting pile of hair under the sink. There was dried up and shriveled shredded cheese on the corner of the bed. I was so grossed out I never showered, refused to use it. I left and used a gym instead. We couldn’t use the keycard the last night for access to the room, but it worked to access the exterior hotel side/back doors. It was so terribly loud at night my daughter woke up at 2am asking why people kept slamming doors. I don’t use the word hate in my vocabulary nor allow it in my daughter’s, but I absolutely hated everything about this stay and can’t think of a single good thing. Will never stay at a Baymont or Wyndham again, completely turned me off.

Pool was good but beds were not very comfortable and the thermostat just kept running and it became a Sauna. Had to sleep with the window open to regulate the temperature and it was late December. Room overall was dated but clean.

The bed was horrible. Rock hard (cement might have been more comfortable) and every movement caused the box frame to squeak loudly. Pillows were old and lumpy. Breakfast options were standard fare, toasters did not work - only warmed things, didn’t toast. Most importantly, coffee was plentiful and excellent.

Beds are horrible. Rock hard and very squeaky. Did not get much sleep to say the least. Heard many people complaining about the beds as we were up there for a wrestling tournament. Found a dirty sock that did not belong to us under our bed.

The hotel was nice, l would recommend staying on the 3rd floor. The floors are not concrete and anyone walking or stomping on the floors above is quite annoying among other things you can hear though the floors and walls.

The hotel was ok. It needs a lot improvement to be classified as a Wyndham as well as to justify the cost. I did not like walking into the room to the sink at the door. The room was fine, but average. Only 2 outlets. The bed was not comfortable because the mattress was tilted. I felt like I was on a hill about to roll off all night. The tile was coming off the wall in the bathroom and the ceiling was not well patched from a previous leak. We could hear people walking above all the time. The breakfast was minimal and not very good - it should not be promoted as a great hot breakfast.

The first room we got was not good. The bed was lumpy and noisy, the sink didn’t drain, the toilet you had to hold the handle down. The next morning we went to the desk and they were able to move us. That room was great no problems.

HORRIBLE! The pool was closed, for maintenance but we were still willing to stay, it was just for a night anyway, but upon arrival into the room, it was all a hotel SHOULD NOT be. The bedsheets were not fresh, the bathroom was dirty, window seals were dusty, WIFI was lagging, cobwebs by the night stands and when i approched the front desk, I was met with a defensive, sarcastic, rude, disrespectful human that called himself PAUL! HE IS A DISASTER. Literally walked out on my kids and I and refused to issue a refund. The place is as quiet as a grave. Nobody was there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!!!

This area of town had a power outage, which we discovered upon arrival to the hotel. We were not able to check-in, nor were we able to stay. We had to book the night at another hotel. And then this property said they would not give any refunds, because it was not their fault.

The staff was very helpful. I had my 95 yr old mother with me and the bed was too high for her to get into and the staff found a sturdy stool she could use. The lobby, eating/lounge area was very nice and the room was clean and well appointed. It did not have a place to hang a hand towel next to the sink but that was a minor inconvenience. However the carpet in the hallways was Filthy and very lumpy. It was definitely a trip hazard for my mother. She walks with a cane and had to be very careful. Also, the morning we left it was quite icy outside. The sidewalk had been salted but not the parking area. Very dicey walking.

Great hotel would be 5 stars but the breakfast was the worse hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen yes I know it’s free but usually a lot better at baymont hotels room was clean bed was a little hard but I think my back likes that I’d stay here again for sure but go to flap jacks for breakfast

Very Nice staff. They had a nice hot breakfast and kept the area very clean. The biscuits and gravy were hot and very good. The pool room was nice and clean and stays open until midnight. The only complaint I have is the bed was not very comfortable. It was hard mattress and made my arm go to sleep a couple of time with little pillows. The faucet in the bathtub dripped and would not shut off so it made rust in the bottom of the tub. Other then that the place was very nice and the staff even nicer.
