The front desk workers were excellent, efficient and friendly. The hotel elevators need to be replaced, a few were not working. My room was fine, standard hotel room. Bathroom is small. Depressing to look out and see a rotting swimming pool on the roof of the 3rd floor, seems like it’s been like that for a while. That space could be something special overlooking UPenn. Overall a decent place

Sheraton Parking garage is not at all maintained. Given it is a part of the hotel, some attention should be given to the parking as well to ensure standard

The front desk staff were very nice. The parking garage was a huge disappointment. We paid extra to park our car for two nights, there was no parking and the attendant was rude to us. The area was nice and convenient.

Hotel is renovating during our stay, parking is not available and front desk said valet parking only but nobody at valet parking for at least 1 hour, we have to park 2 block away. At 9 am, renovation noise woke me up, kind of annoying. Room AC has an issue but somebody come up fixed it.

Not a bad place if you have business near UPenn. Clean, large rooms with a nice lobby. The only bad thing is the parking garage. Really old and dirty. Also, there are numerous support columns that made it tricky and tight to make turns (and I had a 4 door sedan - can't imagine a med / large SUV.). There was also no realy place for breakfast in the hotel but several options with a couple of blocks.

Construction underway until June 2026, only 2 of 4 elevators were working. Elevators were packed with guest and construction workers and sometimes they were very long waits especially if you had your bags you could not squeeze in!Very noisy with the construction and valet parking was slow.

They are undergoing a major renovation that was unknown when I book. The jack hammer, and it honestly was a jack hammer started at 9 am. Also the valet parking garage is closed in the building, but you still pay $40+ dollars for valet, but then you have to wait 35 minutes to get your car, not because there was a line but they are using another garage in 1/2 mile away.

We had an excellent stay. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're visiting UPenn. This hotel is in an excellent location, very close to campus.

The front desk staff were very nice, but I was not given my room until after 4:30 pm. The hotel needs to be refurbished, but is comfortable and in a great location in University City. My main complaint was the lack of cleanliness in the suite. It was dusty and there was mold in the bathroom shower and sink. The soap was empty in the shower dispenser and towels were not replenished. The overall cleanliness of the room was far below a Marriott property.

Room dirty dusty sheets smelled and felt like they were not washed I’m a 65 year old woman dealing with a family sickness in a nearby hospital totally out of my element and the hotel made me have a room on another floor from rest of family I felt alone and I didn’t stay the entire time I paid for that how bad the situation felt to me. I thought Sheratons had a good name but I can see I was wrong

Was disappointed with this hotel. We noticed one of the pillows had blood and mold stains on the first night. It looked disgusting. As it was very late, I reported the issue to the front desk next morning, the front desk staff apologized and promised to change the bedding. When we got back to the hotel late afternoon, nothing was done, the dirty pillow was still unchanged. I had to call the front desk again. 30 minutes late, a cleaning staff came to check the pillow and change the bedding eventually. The staff did apologize to me. However, first I did not expect that the pillow cases would be unchanged between guests ; secondly it required big efforts to have them fix the issue. It is disappointing.

Pros: easy check-in/out, good location, comfy bed, daily room makeup, quiet room Cons: A lot of humidity and general dirt spots all over the wallpaper, huge humidity spots with decaying materials on the ceiling; lighting was not great (outdated), charging outlets did not work, shower-tub was not draining properly (didn't have time to report, though) In summary, it was a nice business stay, but the general maintenance needs attention. There should be a better-planned pick-up curb for Uber, it sometimes feels dangerous to get into the cars in such a busy street.

The location was good, although construction was being done outside of the hotel. Staff were exceptional. I hate to complain, but for the cost, the hotel was dated and needed renovation. Sink water did not go down quickly, shower curtain too long causing it to lie on tub floor when showering gathering dirt. Bed sheets smaller than required (flat sheets used instead of fitted). One surge protector used for both lamps and whatever customer needed to plug in. Garage elevator contained offensive odor. Hotel should consider renovation.

My only negative was how gross the carpet felt. I took a shower one evening and the next morning when I went to take my morning shower, when I stepped in the tub, black was coming off my feet. I had ONLY walked in my room after getting out of the shower. So gross! The carpets need to be cleaned.

Immaculate hotel. Spotless rooms. Beds and pillows were one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Super nice and professional front desk staff. Gorgeous city view from the 11th floor. They offer garage parking right at the hotel but keep in mind that it is $35 per night to park there as a guest. Parking is not free. We stayed at this hotel for a concert at The Mann and it was an easy 15 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again!

The overall stay was average. The two queen beds room was quite small with no walking space. The hotel was very outdated and there was a stench in the lobby area. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and housekeeping did well with room upkeep.

Horrible, ignorant and uncourteaous staff! I've stayed at Sheraton properties globally and this is by far the worst experience I've had. The staff are rude and do not want to help. Would never stay here ever and would highly recommend choosing other properties in the neighbourhood.

I had an excellent experience with this hotel and its staff. They let me check in early after coming from a 8 hour drive. The staff were so nice, welcoming and accommodating. They didn't have to let me check in early or let me keep my car parked after checkout because I would be out to attend a sports event. Their service went above and beyond, and would gladly stay at another Sheraton anywhere else in the world if possible.

I always stay at the Sheraton when I’m in town! This hotel is convenient to everywhere I need to go. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Anthony and Ty are great! They make me feel at home whenever I’m here. Thank you for a great stay during Christmas.

Amazing service from the front desk staff at check in and check out. A gentleman also assisted me with my luggage cart that’s wheels got stuck on the elevator. I had my hands full trying to wrangle an energetic 2 year old at the same time and it was really appreciated.

My wife surprised me with a birthday trip to Philadelphia (my birthplace) to attend the Roots Picnic Music Festival. It was phenomenal and so was our stay at The Sheraton-University City. We were immediately greeted upon arrival by Ty at the front desk, who was the consummate professional. When he discovered that it was my birthday and that I was coming home for the 1st time in more than 20 years, he unsolicitedly upgraded our room to the Club Level as a gift. It was the best birthday weekend that I've had in a long time.

Excellent location proximate to both Penn and Drexel campuses. A short run to the Schuylkill Riverfront Trail which is a great place to run if you’re into that. Plenty of delicious restaurants in the neighborhood. It is undergoing renovations but we weren’t in hotel during the day so the noise we were warned about didn’t bother us. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room condition was great. Staff at front desk at check in were great. The $30 "breakfast" upstairs was really really bad. Not much of a sitting area. Not great food. Construction crews chatting loudly. I know there were renovations, but don't charge $30.... The staff were really nice. The meal.... not so great.

No restaurant, no morning coffee, no cold water when I went to get in the shower, but staff remedied this issue quickly. Key card never worked for the parking garage. Staff was gracious, major construction going on in the building. Room smelled very musty.

We were checked in by Ty, who could not have been friendlier. He asked us what we wanted to see and gave us ideas for places to eat nearby. One of the best check in experiences ever. The rest of the staff was also be nice, especially those working the free breakfast.
