1. Although there was a fridge, its door was ajar, and it wasn't plugged in and thus wasn't cold. This turned out to be because there weren't enough electrical outlets. The TV and cable equipment occupied most of the outlets behind the furniture, and the microwave was plugged into the 1 remaining outlet, leaving no outlet for the fridge. I had to unplug the microwave and put the fridge's plug into that outlet in order to use the fridge, which was the more important appliance. They should set up a 6-outlet device behind the furniture so that all appliances can be plugged in at the same time. 2. Something good, which I had never seen before, is that they have a mostly-transparent security wall (which needs a room card to pass through) in front of the row of rooms, such that it is impossible for an outsider to just walk up to a room and try to get into the door or window. 3. On the bad side, the driving area in front of the rooms is not in good condition; it is uneven and torn up, with gravel or tiny rocks all over it, preventing the drive from the entrance to your room and back out to the street from being a smooth drive. 4. On the good side, the manager/clerk was very nice and helpful.

Property is away from the train tracks. What you pay for is what you get. Outdated facility. Needs improvement in parking lot. No breakfast but a McD is around the corner. No desk in room I stayed in. Three bulky chairs in room. Needed to do some work and had to use bed for a desk. Otherwise, had a good night sleep.

After a long drive, I was disappointed to pull into this property. Overall, it is run-down and uninviting. There's a dilapidated old pool house in the parking lot that's no longer operational. The hotel interior has not been kept up, including old carpet and upholstered chairs that I didn't want to sit on. The Continental breakfast is scant and is served in the small lobby. The ice machine doesn't work. On the positive side, the room met our basic requirements – comfortable enough bed, refrigerator, hair dryer upon request (though it was a wall model, detached from the wall), easy parking, close to downtown Gallup. This place must have been grand and welcoming at one point in time, but sadly it has decayed and not been given the resources and attention needed to make for an enjoyable stay. I would not stay here again.

I liked that it was close to shopping and food with a sonic right next door, however the refrigerator did not seem to work and the one ice machine we found did not work so we had to go to the office for ice.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, comfortable bed. good shower, fridge and microwave. Outdated coffee machine, minimal coffee (1bag) tv hard to tune, pillows small, no ice machine. Little bit regimental re checkout knocking on door at 10.50. Cheap stay. You can hear train so bring earplugs not a problem for us and hotel not at fault for this. Didn’t eat breakfast - believe it’s cereal complementary and you pay for cooked breakfast.

We really enjoyed the vintage furnishings of the classic this Route 66 motel. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Had area to park truck with a U-Haul trailer. We like that they are pet friendly. Train does go by quite often, but did not bother us. Sonic Drive-In restaurant right next door

Nice enough motel sandwiched between two hamburger joints. Lobby smelled of curry which is fine if you like curry, but I don't so found it annoying. Check-in was fine. Keycard access to the rooms. Parking area is fenced except for the main entrance. Rooms are behind an enclosed walkway which will be nice in the winter. My room was good sized with a king sized bed, three chairs and a table. A 42" LG TV with DirecTV was nice and included HBO and MAX so lots to look at. The heater/AC unit is located in the back of the unit which helped keep the noise down. It did not have the "fan always on" option that I like to help control noise. One hand towel and two large bath towels were present - no hand towels. There were busy train tracks across the street and I could hear the horn when they came by. Not loud enough to wake me but a minor annoyance. Bottom line - an OK basic model that had the best rates in the area when I stayed.

The Price is Right This is an older property that is maintained and cleanly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The check-in was quick and smooth. The pool is apparently under some kind of construction (but I knew this from the description before booking). The area this is located in isn't particularly nice and is very close to a frequented railroad, but there are other hotels in the area and I felt relatively safe. Overall, a good, inexpensive, overnighter hotel. But I wouldn't stay here for a vacation.

The owners were very nice, very accommodating, and I felt safe staying here. The continental breakfast was... mediocre at best, just coffee and cereal or toast. The room was clean enough, but hotel rooms with carpet are always dank and dingy feeling and all the furniture was worn.

Very dated hotel, like late 70s. Was a little hesitant when we drove up but the owner was really nice. Room was old but the mattress felt new and the pillows were comfy. Bathroom was very clean, towels fresh, and the water pressure was fantastic! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Did not hear the train but probably because we were so tired. Skipped breakfast and went to bakery down the street to try it out.

I understood this was an older property but it truly is time for updates to be made. Not just tired but dirty. Place also smelled very strong of curry. Bed was comfortable atleast. Breakfast is a joke. They should just not bother offering it. Check in was friendly but we found their practices dishonest. We had an extra charge on checking out for using a credit card to pay. This was never disclosed to us. Also, this is an Oyo Hotel which was not disclosed. They precharged our credit card when they were not supposed to. Then they were very hard to deal with for answers as to why. If desperate, an overnight stay maybe but would recommend paying more and going else where.

Clean room. It felt like going back in time, with the decor in the room. Smart building, because you hardly heard the traffic. Property has had it best days for sure, but the price was right for what you get. Ok for one night.

Older motel which has been kept up. Beautiful furniture in our room. Nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. TV got lots of channels. Refrigerator was great with a little freezer for our blue ice to refreeze

It was fine for the price. Definitely older furniture, which I'm good with. The mattress was comfortable enough. The pillows were very hard though. It's an old building, so there was a lot of noise--footsteps upstairs, old plumbing sounds whenever anyone used water, and, of course, the train which will be audible from any hotel in town. It's a decent cheap option for one night.

Very large comfortable room. The mattress was very good. The room had three comfortable easy chairs. Everything worked. The only problem was the trains that went by at night. But my portable white noise machine took care of that.

Stop on our way to Colorado and was pleasantly suprised. Even though it was a older hotel, the room was clean and spacious and the shower had great water pressure. We stop again on the way back! It was great no frills hotel and the owners were really pleasant.

Although I was not expecting much for a $55 priced room, the property is ancient and what ended up making it such a horrible experience was that it was closely located to train tracks. The train whistles started around 3am and continued until I left at 7am. Unless one is a very sound sleeper I do not recommend.

The hotel is outdated. The furnishings were very old and there were no plugs to charge a phone. The biggest issue was the AC. Only after we spent the night hit and miserable did I figure out that it would work but only on low.

The hotel is way out on the west end of Old 66, so it's not really walkable to downtown. Not a problem with a car, of course. Railway goes right by, and the trains do sound their horns, so if you're a light sleeper, that's a problem. It's an older facility, weathered on the outside but clean inside. Beds need replacing (they're a bit on the hard outside kind of thing). Really nice folks. Breakfast wasn't worth it, but we always eat out anyway.

Pros-Hotel staff is friendly and hospitable. Room was large with several seating options. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was a little bouncy but comfortable. Heating wall unit worked well. Shower was great with super thick and soft towels. Cons-walls are thin so we could hear the neighbors talking. The pipes are also loud. Very loud. Showers running in the other rooms woke us up. The bedding was a little thin. All in all it was great if you're not a light sleeper.

Very nice family running this motel :) Provides many amenities and little things (body lotion, shower cap, etc) that many pricier places omit nowadays; that a basic breakfast is included at this price is quite generous! Wonderfully thick and fluffy towels. Older building and decor but everything very clean and functional. My room had 2 wingback chairs and a recliner (!). Only comment is that the walls are thin and you can hear louder neighbors (e.g. the family next door with young kids), but everyone quieted down after 10pm and I slept soundly. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Bed was very uncomfortable. Smells musty throughout the entire building. The staff communication between each other and guest is completely unacceptable. The owners are not from the United States so they do not understand hospitality, honesty within the Manager and the poor little boy at the front desk who wasn’t certain about many things. It was very inconvenient as I was trying to book another night. The manager approved and said I could stay in the same room but the front desk boy had told me that I would have to leave and check in at 3 o’clock. Never in my life have I experience such and demanding me to remove my belongings also they charge me a $10 late fee. I was late because I was sitting there trying to get the man to understand English and comprehend what the manager and I had spoken of and agreed to. I wish this was a better experience but I guess if you’re desperate go for it.

I had a terrible experience in this hotel. The tenant upstairs were running in the room all night and I call the front desk to make them stop but nothing happen. Then I call the front desk again, but they start to say things like “if you want them to be quiet you can say to them yourself or you can leave.” When I check out the man says “ if you think they are aloud you can call the police” and said I had no common sense. It was a little child or a dog in that room which is okay by itself , but be noisy was not yet I wasn’t going to call the police on them anyway, yet the hotel took it on me somehow.

We booked an accessible room unfortunately they booked it prior to our arrival. They attempted to notify us immediately but we didn't get Hotels.com notification until the next day. However, the gentleman at the counter was so sweet and helpful he took us to a nearby room to see if we could use it. While it wasn't accessible, it definitely worked for one night. Thank you!!!

While this property was very close to the train tracks, that was true of every hotel/motel in Gallup, so if staying in Gallup, the noise of the train was everywhere. That being said, I only heard the train a few times overnight, and the daytime trains just became part of the scenery. Parking was right outside my room, where I could keep an eye on my car, and the proprietors were both friendly and very helpful.

When I checked in the employee was nice. The room was clean although the furnishings and building is very outdated. I had such an uneasy feeling the entire time. Maybe because I was alone, but I didn’t feel comfortable and left early the next morning. I think it’s “okay” if you desperately need a place to crash for a few hours ( and can block out the trains) but it is not a leisure, vacation place to stay.

The hotel is way out on the west end of Old 66, so it's not really walkable to downtown. Not a problem with a car, of course. Railway goes right by, and the trains do sound their horns, so if you're a light sleeper, that's a problem. It's an older facility, weathered on the outside but clean inside. Beds need replacing (they're a bit on the hard outside kind of thing). Really nice folks. Breakfast wasn't worth it, but we always eat out anyway.

Nice enough motel sandwiched between two hamburger joints. Lobby smelled of curry which is fine if you like curry, but I don't so found it annoying. Check-in was fine. Keycard access to the rooms. Parking area is fenced except for the main entrance. Rooms are behind an enclosed walkway which will be nice in the winter. My room was good sized with a king sized bed, three chairs and a table. A 42" LG TV with DirecTV was nice and included HBO and MAX so lots to look at. The heater/AC unit is located in the back of the unit which helped keep the noise down. It did not have the "fan always on" option that I like to help control noise. One hand towel and two large bath towels were present - no hand towels. There were busy train tracks across the street and I could hear the horn when they came by. Not loud enough to wake me but a minor annoyance. Bottom line - an OK basic model that had the best rates in the area when I stayed.

The pool is apparently under some kind of construction (but I knew this from the description before booking). The area this is located in isn't particularly nice and is very close to a frequented railroad, but there are other hotels in the area and I felt relatively safe. Overall, a good, inexpensive, overnighter hotel. But I wouldn't stay here for a vacation.

We just wanted an inexpensive place to spend the night and this fit the bill. With tax, we paid about $62. It's an older property but the room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room included a recliner chair - nice! Train tracks run all along this stretch of Route 66 and in this location, there's an intersection requiring the trains to blow their horns. It didn't really bother us. The included breakfast was a bust though - just Cheerios, white bread and coffee. We opted to grab breakfast elsewhere.

I always pick a hotel that has a breakfast for the convenience factor when I can. This hotel had a cute Retro look of the 3 I was considering. Since they all had breakfasts I picked this one. However, breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread left out in it's package, some cereal and most disturbing, a milk bottle about 1/8 full that was sitting out on the counter with no cooling whatsoever! Looking at the milk you had NO idea how many days it had been placed out there just growing bacteria in the warmth. Since there was literally nothing else to eat, We went and paid for breakfast elsewhere. the other two places were chain hotels where we would have received waffles, juices, muffins etc.

Older hotel, but the room looked better than the exterior. I thought there would be a morning breakfast, but I saw a sign saying there was a separate fee for that. I left early, and the lobby was not open when I left anyway. It was ok for a place to get some sleep and a morning shower before getting on the road.

When we booked the stay it says breakfast included, but it was continental breakfast which was misleading. To get hot breakfast you had to pay extra. It wasn’t much, but I was disappointed that it was misinformative. For the price we paid it was ok and I would recommend for a night or 2.

The hotel is older, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and a good price.The manager is very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was Continental, so not a lot of choices, but the manager offered to make scrambled eggs also. We would stay again.

Difficult check-in. Rude front desk staff. Room not clean. Sheets were ripped. Felt muggy and sticky, even with cooler on. Carpet ripped, coming away from floor and wall. Bathroom is gross. Painted over cobwebs in corners. Only there to sleep a couple of hours. Felt itchy because it was so unclean. If it wasn't so late when we got there, I would have left. I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

While the check in person was very polite and the breakfast lady as well, the Property was very old and needs some maintaining. Breakfast was a banana, oj, coffee, not sure if there was something else. Furniture in room was outdated and in need of some repair. Area was a little sketchy
