Located right off of I-25 in Raton. There was fresh paint on all surfaces. It was a short walk to several restaurants. The elevator did not work. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

The hotel is under renovation so there was a lot of construction debris around. Our room was nice and newly renovated but the rest of the hotel was kind of torn up. Also there was no elevator and we were on the second floor which was extremely inconvenient-I wish we had known and wouldn’t have stayed there since we had so many things to carry upstairs.

Let me start with a positive. Jon checked us in and he was very accommodating when our first room smelled like an ashed tray. That’s where it ends. The pillows were torture devices. You should definitely bring your own unless you like lumpy things in your neck all night long. If you like a stiff bed, like one level up from sleeping on the floor then you will be okay. The housekeeping is definitely lacking here. The walls of the bathroom were dirty and there was blood on the door as we walked into our room. I have been staying in Raton for decades on our way to Vail and I promise you it is worth it to spend the extra money for the Quality Inn across the street. The company should value John for his great customer service or this would be a one star across the board!

Room was dirty. The floor was sticky and we noticed when we woke up there was feces on the sheet. So far beyond disgusting. I have never left a review, ever for a hotel room and you can probably see, we stay at a lot of hotels. And no9ne cared other then saying sorry, ill tell housekeeping.

Staff was nice despite the manager saying all rooms were newly remodeled, the walls had stains splattered on them. The ceiling in the bathroom was disgusting with stains and things that looked like they were about to drip off if it. The sheets and blankets had stains on them. Will not be staying again.

Very noisy. I could hear the people above me walk every step. We had a first floor room and could hear cars parking, people talking, doors opening. A diesel truck parked outside our window and exhaust smell filled our room- we had to open the door. The shower wall was dirty. We had no iron and when we asked for one the guy insisted we had one (which we did not) the breakfast is only cereal, juices, pastries, and the coffee machine was empty and they did not refill it even though it was breakfast hours.

After my husband reserved our room, I read some reviews that worried me. We had just left a hotel from Hell in Roswell, and I was looking forward to a decent room. I was very happy with our room except for the squeaky bed and musty odor in the room. The room was very clean, mattress and pillows comfy. Nice products in the bathroom, towels very clean and looked new. They even had the good TP in the bathroom. Lol I would stay here again even with the squeaky bed and musty smell. Spray some air freshener and sit on the bed very gently. Lol

Found several spiders, room was musty, trash left behind, faucet handle on sink broken…I can go on and on. We travel often and this was the most disgraceful place we’ve ever stayed. I feel unclean thinking about our room.

The room was excellent—spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location near I25 is great. I had a few moments of conflict checking in, when the desk clerk told me that I had not filled out the pre-checkin form. I don’t know why he didn’t have the information—I may have not sent it correctly—but I certainly filled it out and did appreciate being told what I had or had not done. He did apologize, and the rest of my stay was great.

Bed sheets seems clean. Bed is is too small for 2 people. You can hear the springs underneath every-time you turn or even sitting on it. Room smells musty.

The suite was very spacious, with couch and separated area for bed and included a sink and counter near the microwave and fridge. I did not like that there was no elevator to the second floor and I had very heavy bags I had to drag up the stairs. Also, on of the staff was grumpy, not friendly

The person who checked us in did an amazing job of telling us all of the important information about the renovation and all of the upgrades to the hotel in a short and detailed manner. He was excellent. Ijust wish i cought his name to be able to put it in this review.

There is nothing good to share about our stay, I waited for over ten minutes for someone to check me in, I had to go knock on a staff only door to let her know I was even there. There was no elevator my 70 year old wife and I had to hand carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. When I first entered my room I had to use one of the rest room towels to clean the floors in the bathroom and the bedroom!! There was very little sleep, we heard slamming doors repeatedly, kids screaming and conversations from other customers all the way up to 12:00 mid-night, no one came upstairs to see what was going on!! The complimentary breakfast was a joke, I spent way too much much money for this type of poor cleanliness and poor customer service, someone should repay me for whole amount of my stay of one night!! I will never return to this hotel or any other Microtel locations!! I will also let everyone I know to not even think about staying at Microtel!!

This is a nice property at the crossroads of I-25 and US84. It was easy to get to, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is undergoing some renovations, but it was not a problem at all during our stay. The breakfast was unremarkable as are most motel breakfasts these days. The room was newly updated and comfortable.

Located right off of I-25 in Raton. There was fresh paint on all surfaces. It was a short walk to several restaurants. The elevator did not work. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

It was a great stay. There was no problem with the room except a brief period when the electric was cutting on and off. That was a hotel wide issue and I don’t know how, but it was resolved quickly. The bed was a little soft for me (in that always a subjective view?), but not enough for me to not get a good night’s sleep. We felt safe at the location. There are quite a few food options from pizza delivery to a sit-down steakhouse available in the close vicinity. I would recommend staying here.

This is a nice property at the crossroads of I-25 and US84. It was easy to get to, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is undergoing some renovations, but it was not a problem at all during our stay. The breakfast was unremarkable as are most motel breakfasts these days. The room was newly updated and comfortable.

First complaint was the air conditioner was off when we got in and it took half the night to cool off the room. Rooms were nice. Breakfast was limited - not really any protein options. Clean and safe though.

The breakfast was (blah) a cereal breakfast, instant oatmeal packets, toast, waffle machine. coffee was weak and the juice was watered down. I guess if we had drove a little ways into town , we would have found a Holoday Inn for the same price. But was convenient just off the freeway.

Very noisy. I could hear the people above me walk every step. We had a first floor room and could hear cars parking, people talking, doors opening. A diesel truck parked outside our window and exhaust smell filled our room- we had to open the door. The shower wall was dirty. We had no iron and when we asked for one the guy insisted we had one (which we did not) the breakfast is only cereal, juices, pastries, and the coffee machine was empty and they did not refill it even though it was breakfast hours.

It was fine. Nothing spectacular but we just needed a place to sleep. There was a dirty wipe behind the bathroom door. Also, no elevator and under renovation so we had to drag all of our luggage up the stairs. That was the worst. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Easy, fast and friendly check in. The room and bathroom was well lit and to top it off , the mirror also had vanity lights. Pillows were super comfy and the bedding must’ve had a cooling effect. Breakfast was actually not too shabby, I had two plates. Would stay again !
