Hampton Inn Taos

Stayed here for 2 days me wife and dog. Only thing annoying was the ice machine on 2nd floor didn’t work. Wish they had a hot tub with the pool but other than that it was all good. The traffic noise was a little loud at some times as well so sleep could be difficult without ear plugs for light sleepers. Other than that no complaints. It’s near a lot of stuff and the Breakfast was nice make your own waffles with other breakfast choices and all the staff was friendly. idk what they have less than 3 stars.

All two luggage carts are broken. The metal railing comes apart from the wheeled platform and are unusable. The ice machine on the second floor had a "No service" sign when we stayed in June and the sign is still there in August -the hottest month of the year. How can the manager allow the ice machine to remain broken for two months?

Parking needs more lighting, spotty parking lights, felt a little unsafe.

I got this hotel for the indoor pool and hot tub both were closed so that was disappointing

Was told indoor pool was open got in to check in just to be informed it was broken. I rented here last year same thing. 09:00 female Morning front desk person was very rude. This lady was lacking hospitality. Will NOT BE RENTING HERE AGAIN!

Pool was out of service. Hot tub was out of service and completely empty!!

I got this room for pool and hot.tub then get there its closed for renovations which didnt seem like was going to happen anytime soon

Parking lot needs repairs. There are some deep potholes.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Booked. Room here for a few nights in Taos , NM. Pics on site made this property look 250% better than the actual property . Very run down … Pool and hot tub were BOTH out of order .. Stains and tears in couch in room .. hotel was dirty , outdated and in major need of some improvements.. I travel slot and prefer Hilton. This might be the worst hotel I had been to in years … We cancelled upon checking in and were referred to the El Monte Somgrado which was FABULOUS!!!!!!!! It all worked out and thankful for the fabulous young lady working check in at the Hampton. She referred me to the property.

Hotel was excellent and very clean. Staff was very good.

Clean room, good breakfast

The bathtub was painted to cover up mold. The paint was peeling and my grandchildren did not want to use the bathtub. The 2nd floor stairway door was missing the door handle, this is a Fire Code Violation. Everything is worn out, and run down. The 2nd floor ice machine has been broken for over a year. Just ugh.

All Elevators out and I had a leg injury. Hard to get up to second floor. First room dirty sheets with stains and hair. So got moved to new room. Stained sheets. Took pictures. Only solution to go get clean sheets and make our own beds. It was 9:00pm and no staff to help.

There was a hole in the wall behind the door, prior renters food in the fridge, stained and sticky carpet. If the area in taos wasn't sold out we would have moved hotels

Staff were extremely unfriendly ! I had white stains on the sheets, glad I got a room with 2 queens, so slept in the other bed. There was so much noise from the traffic & the doors slam so loud. Won’t stay here again

A very old update, toilet seat broken, couch arms well worn, desk chair has seen better days, old style ac unit-very noisey, sidewalks and driveways in poor condition. This is WELL below a typ Hampton Inn standards

Adobe style building is very traditional for New Mexico. We find it very nice to stay in a building like this. We came to Taos to ski for a few days. The building has easy access from the road, is located on the south part of town about 40 min to a Taos Ski Valley. The low price and breakfast included, pool and hot tub were deciding factors for my family in choosing this hotel. I eat gluten free food and was able to find some items from the breakfast for myself to eat. Big plus for that. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The lady upfront gave me extra towels and information about places to eat. I also appreciate her telling us that all the places in town close early and if we want to have dinner we should get going soon. She also recommended the nearest place to eat. The pool was open but the hot tub was closed. I am not sure why. The reason I gave negative points to this property is BLACK MOLD on the ceilings. It is a health hazard. I had to change four rooms before we found one that didn’t have visible mold spots. This is a huge safety concern. Minor things are: dirty spots on the chairs in the dining hall and on the chair in our room, peeling wallpaper throughout the building. Some wall repairs were performed in the four rooms that I’ve seen but very poorly.

The first room we were given was extremely dirty with blood and soiled sheets and mattress. They were able to move us to a different room which was clean but the first room should have been cleaned better. The breakfast staff was fantastic and coffee and tea are available at all hours. The front desk staff and maintenance were expedient and helpful.

For a few years now I have stayed at this Hampton Inn when I visit Taos. The hotel is old but it has always been extremely clean, everything works, and it’s safe and quiet. This time, though, I didn’t get very much sleep because the curtains have been removed. There is just one blind that probably is supposed to block the outside lights but it definitely did not. My room was like as if the sun was shining in all night. Also on the floor was the a previous visitors’ take out salad dressing container’s lid.

Check in was easy. In our room, the closet/armoir was broken on the bottom. There were no blackout curtains only a shade so light came into the room all night from outside lighting. The breakfast area was very pleasant and the attendant managed things well.

we drove 14 hours from texas. we was tired .we stayed in handicap room window curtain you can see the light coming from out side. we went talk to front desk and front desk reply was do you looking for refund just like that i m hotel owner i know how treat my guest. he said i will give flat sheet you can put on window curtain. that's why we did not chose Hampton inn.

Good breakfast, attentive service. Pool heating was not working nor was laundry on site. Room didn’t have drawers. Had to live out of bags.

The Toas facility has a good staff and good service. While the room was okay the bed was sagging and the side tables were actually crooked. Overall the furnishings just need to be updated. Breakfast was good and tgere was plenty of choices

Nice hotel but walls very thin. Could hear our neighbors. Perhaps because ours was a connecting room.

The room is a lot smaller than it appeared in the photos. The beds were pretty firm not really the best for me. The cabinets that held the refrigerator didn't close the microwave made an awful noise but it was clean and safe

A very nice place. I was a little disappointed in the way we could here someone on the 2nd floor walking around.(all hours of the night)

The front desk lady on Monday afternoon was so rude that it is unbelievable that some one like that can work in a hotel. Just because of her behavior, we and our several friends have decided never to stay at this particular property in Taos.

We appreciated the warm, welcoming courtesy and friendliness of the staff, especially Adam at the front desk and also the lady who facilitates the kitchen during morning breakfast. We look forward to staying with you again since this felt like a home away from home for us!

The check in was easy, They charge a $50 fee that I was not told about and is not showed on the bill or on my receipt but on my bank statement when I asked they said it was a deposit and it would be refunded in a few business days,I was not Happy about this unknown fee and waiting to see if it's returned? I apologize hotels.com for the follow up survey Thank you so much!

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was superb. The front desk was not that helpful. For example, there were no towels at the pool and after calling them, we had to go to the desk to get more towels. When leaving, we wanted a copy of the bill, they told us they would email it to us and we have never received it. So the people at the front desk need to care more!

Severe problems at check in. Our assigned room was already occupied and we were left standing in the hall as they tried to figure out what was going on. Hotel fully booked so just assigning us another room was not an option. Finally figured out that our assigned room should have 221, not 211.

The gentlemen that helped us check in were great. They were attentive, nice and just overall did an excellent job. Will be staying here again next time we are in this area.

We were very impressed with the Hampton Inn Taos during our 4 night stay last March. Clean, excellent staff, great breakfast. But the most impressive thing about the Hampton staff was the excellent way they handled my unfortunate situation when I left a brand new coat behind in the room. I called, it had been found, i emailed a prepaid UPS shipping label, the Hampton staff boxed it and shipped it to me. Excellent!!

Beautiful grounds, updated hotel, clean, and friendly staff! Stayed here for Taos feast day. The breakfast was delicious! They even had some chopped green chili for the locals. The pool was clean and towels stocked.

We visit Taos multiple times a year for our summer and fall vacations. The 1st time we stayed here in 2022, We were blown away by the hospitality and above standard services. This time around however, the services were less than before. Breakfast was minimum, and services were much limited with broken machinery and empty shelves for breakfast (no bread, no bagels, no cereal, no milk, no juice). The staff itself was also less than accommodating then before, we called a total of 7 times over 4 hours regarding left behind Property. Not once was there an answer, and even once we were hung up on while waiting for an attendant to answer. The phone line said messages would be promptly returned but our voicemails were not returned within the 4 hours we had left them. Once we showed up 4 hours later to inquire on said property they knew exactly what we were talking about, but they never bothered to call us to update us on the status. We will probably find different accommodations next time we visit Taos.

Modern hotel that provided us a warm cozy room to spend Christmas night. Heated indoor pool and a small but pleasant breakfast buffet. Located just a short drive to downtown Taos and just a bit further to Taos Pueblo.

The location is great. Very close to several ski resorts.

Convenient location as we were headed to Santa Fe next day.

A comfortable and clean hotel close to Taos sites including Pueblo and Square as well as Angel Fire. Restaurants are nearby.

Nice hotel with plenty of amenities. Just minutes away from all the shops and restaurants.

No major complaints except breakfast was very skimpy w/o many choices… no teabags and the hostess was pleasant but spent time visiting than providing service. Discipline because this is one of the more expensive hotels we stayed at during our month long road trip.

I guess we picked the wrong day to stay here. The pool was closed all day for maintenance. In the breakfast area, they were out of waffle batter (it was 7:30am, not the end of the serving period) and the juice machine was not operating. The laundromat was not functional. Other than that, it was a nice stay. Our room was clean and quiet - although there were some stains on the carpet. There were plentiful power outlets in the room - an important feature these days.

We had no hot water for bathing. They were out of eggs,& cereal at the breakfast.

Room was quiet, beds very comfortable, a/c perfect ... breakfast was the worst in any hotel I've stayed at in the past 30 years: greasy sausage patty, no eggs, poor quality yogurt, good coffee, just had pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Message to Owner: trot down to the grocery store and pick up some breakfast sandwiches for your guests rather than provide the horrible breakfast you currently do.

We had the best breakfast ever in a hotel. Nina did a wonderful job of stocking the breakfast bar and we LOVED the green chile at breakfast! What a nice local touch. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was good being close to town and it was quiet. Parking was easy and parking lot well lit. We hightly recommend the Hampton Inn at Taos.

Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10 a.m. There was little or no food or coffee at 9:30.
