Restaurant was great. Only had dinner, but both times were good. Couldn't get hot water in the shower (room 105) lukewarm at best. Curtain rod and curtains for bathroom need to be changed. Door is small anyway and the curtain is in the way and makes it hard to get in or out. Room was small but cozy. Loved the courtyard outside.

Had a nice stay. The rooms are sizeable with a fair price. Conveniently located 3.5 miles to the downtown area. Liked the fact that there was a restaurant and bar on site with live entertainment. The food was very good as well.

All the people who work there are great! Professional, and friendly. Food and entertainment was fantastic! Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were down but the pool area looks great. Even if the owner is trying to sell, there still should be updates and care given for a beautiful place full of history. Good Luck!

Great staff, awesome history, wonderful courtyard, and dang good restaurant! Rooms in the historic part are not big, not fancy, but with mountains, wildlife, and history surrounding you, why do you need a big fancy hotel room? Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!!

Bed was comfortable but nothing fancy . Dead bolt lock didn’t work and door didn’t close good . Not enough ice machines and vending machine almost empty . Pool was extremely cold and full of bugs and only 1 jet worked on hot tub . Painting balconies above our room so had to be careful.

The hotel restaurant and bar close at 9 PM. We were asked to leave the patio area at 9pm because the staff was closing for the night. I felt they closed way too early for the mid summer travel season.

Bathroom had towels on the floor from the prior stay. The sink faucet needs replacing. Walls in the bathroom had stains that we didn't want to know what it was. The shower faucet is coming out of the wall and the hot/cold water are backwards.Too many issues to list here.

I absolutely dislike leaving bad reviews... Our room smelled like dog pee and we had bugs in our bed. The staff was unwilling to do anything about it. I gave them the chance to make it right and they refused. Ended up staying at another hotel for the weekend, while paying full pop at Sagebrush.

While the check in was easy and staff was very friendly, the complex and room were old (which could be charming) but unkempt. Grounds were messy, rickety staircase, musty smell in the room, and an outdoor patio covered in dirt and sticks. The TV did not work and on the second day there was a water main break that forced us to move to a new hotel. There was just nothing pleasant about our stay.

Our room was very dusty like it hadn't been rented in a while. There were little dead bugs in every corner of the room and a lot of dead bugs in the light fixture above the microwave also a spiderweb on the counter in the bathroom. The carpet on the balcony was very dirty and we couldn't use the fireplace. There food seemed overpriced.and service mid level at best. We only stayed 1 night so it wasn't worth putting a complaint but since Expedia keeps asking for a review then here you go. Just being honest i really had higher hopes for this stay.

Dirty and bed bug found! I’m so disturbed it’s a first for us, we let front desk know about the bug, they didn’t take very seriously. We literally left a ton of clothes and our baby’s pack and play crib to avoid bringing infestation back to our home. Got out of there ASAP. Hotels.com is helping us attempt to get refunded. Not only guests suffer but the housekeeping staff that are exposed to this infestation I hope the hotel takes this seriously.

Understand it's an older property, the rooms looked nothing like internet phots and wifi was non existant in our room. Would love to see the rooms updated or at least fix peeling paint, mold in bathroom shower area and chipped tile.

Check in time was 4pm but room wasn’t ready until 4:15pm. Wi-Fi didn’t work. Stayed for 3 nights but room supplies were only provided for 1 day when they don’t offer any housekeeping. I called in advance to see if my room would have a sofa/sofabed in addition to 1 king and 1 queen. The male rep said yes. When I get there, there was no sofa/sofabed. Disappointed.

It's a beautiful historic adobe-style hotel with a great breakfast and restaurant that is always open! There was good, but not overwhelming live music each night. Our room was huge with a view of wide open prairie to distant mountains out the back. It was a ten-minute drive into the center of downtown.

Looks totally different than their website. The room was big and the bathroom was massive and that was nice but there were spider webs every where, cracked tile and the stairs and floor leading to the hotel room needed some serious help. There weren't any outlets anywhere either which was strange. Half of the lamps weren't even plugged in. We had to charge our phones in the bathroom.

Generally good. From outside to inside, this hotel provides very authentic New Mexico vibe. The lobby provides coffee but breakfast, as well as other food, is to be paid in property in a subsidiary restaurant building of the hotel. Our suite room is spacious. Water is hot, but the shower needs some maintenance. The wall is OK but the door is not well sound insulated. I can hear talks in the hallway and doors swapping.

Some rooms that have been renovated are excellent, others are not. I protested becasue I was given a room that I did not order with "thats all we have". A senior manager rectified it, but an unsuspecting client can endup with a terrible "courtyard" non renovated room on a busy weekend. When the Sagebrush is good, its excellent, but when its not...

The bad: Dinning area for breakfast was heavily understaffed. 1 waitress running around trying to tend everyone is not fair to her or the customers. Comforter on one of the beds was stained. The Good: The old style room was very cool and charming which made for a cool experience. The sunset behind the property was beautiful. The staff is very friendly.

Arrived on their busiest day of the year without meaning to, during an annual festival in Taos, yet they remained cool, calm, and friendly. I had a small problem that they worked on in the midst of the fray - until they were able to resolve the issue for me. I am so grateful.

Destiny and Melissa (I think that was her name) at the front desk were so nice and helpful. Mr.Espinosa in Maintenance came quick to fix the TV. Clean and quiet. We had a great spacious room with 2 beds. Outside seats and table for outdoor eating. Close to everything. Great 4 days in Taos.

We stay here every year and usually thoroughly enjoy our stay. This year the front desk staff was pretty friendly with the exception of one person who seemed to be there every day during the normal business hours. She was extremely unfriendly and not helpful at all with any of our questions and she seems bothered by our very existence. It was always extremely uncomfortable to ask for something as common as towels or extra pillows - she acted as if we were interrupting her to ask for help. We will unfortunately be looking for alternative accommodations next year.

After taking forever to get checked in (they had one person on the front desk on a Friday night on a holiday weekend), the room was not the room we had reserved, so had to go back and get re-assigned to a different room. The pool/hot tub closed by 9pm which is pretty early. The hot tub filter had gotten turned off so one day we couldn't use it at all while it was warming up again and then were told the next day that they were shocking it so it was going to be closed that day. Front desk help were not very friendly. We had to ask multiple times for basic things for our room (like the coffee). Don't know that I would choose to stay there again.

I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. The best thing it has going for it is it’s restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were very good here. The rooms are quite outdated and could use some deep cleaning. For example the electric heaters had quite a bit of dust in them. The courtyards are beautiful however, and the location in town is convenient.

The room was great but the on-site restaurant had bad yet expensive food and the cantina had incredibly rude inattentive staff. No signage for getting seated and no list, or communication with patrons in line. Lots of confusion and took us about 30 minutes to be seated and another twenty for a waitress to take our order. There are so many great restaurants in Taos— head into downtown.

The overall property needs updating/upgrading. It shows a lot of deferred maintenance. However, our room was clean, the bed was comfy and the people were super friendly. We ate at the restaurant and had the prime rib special. It was very good. The margaritas were superb-some of the best Ive ever had and Im a margarita snob! If you're looking for a luxury experience, look elsewhere. But, if you just want a place to stay while you explore all Taos has to offer, this is a good place

Staying here on trips to TSV is pretty good. Easy in and out. Restaurant serves late dinner and early breakfast. Some rooms are better than others. Get one with a fireplace.
