Pepper Tree Inn

Despite what is shown and stated on the website, there is no pool (they poured a concrete slab over it), and there is no breakfast of any kind….advertised as “free”. The Inn is right on a major street/highway…not a quiet place. The room is clean, but the website is totally misleading and needs an update!

Better beds please. Old and poor quality. Too soft. No pool as advertised.

It fit my needs perfectly. The room i had was not fancy, but clean and i don't need much more. The bathroom was clean and there was a large TV and Internet wi fi. They advertise a breakfast, but the only day I went in to find that, it didn't exist. Over the weekend it was quiet, but during the week, because of construction going on next door, it was noisy first thing in the morning. But, my room was adjacent to this. A room at the other end probably wouldn't experience this. Of course, this is temporary because at some point the construction will cease. I was in town to visit my son and a graduation and the Peppertree was only minutes from my son's house and there are tons of restaurants nearby, stores, etc. All good.

We arrived lare. There was a big sign that said peppertree in bed and breakfast. There is no breakfast. Lol. The pool is empty. The bed was really comfortable and the staff was super nice.

The hotel room was not clean. There was no. pool as was advertised. There was no free breakfast or restaurant as also stated on the app. They also did not have 24 hour office staff. What a disappointment. Would never stay there again.

Low budget & out dated room decor and chippped, damaged furniture plus dirty bathroom floor upon arrival. I did not walk barefoot on the carpet nor put my luggage on the floor.

Very dirty and not good small

Very clean and updated, I was actually incredibly surprised how nice the property was. The area used to be a little questionable but it felt safe. The bed was comfy and had extra pillows, along with proper sheets (so often budget hotels use "fitted" sheets that are too small and don't stay put). Typical toiletries included as well as toothbrushes and paste! Didn't need it, but would have been thrilled if that's something we'd forgotten. Would certainly stay here again if we're needing a hotel in that area.

Old carpet and dirt and dust in edges and corners. Worn furniture. Hair in the tub when we arrived. Nice beds, soft and comfortable. Good cooler. Disappointed internet pictures were not as the motel was represented. The pool is a concrete slab.

Bed wasn't real comfy and the TV didn't work right

The bed was so squeaky Everytime I got up I thought I would wake someone up. Other than that it was a comfy room to sleep in.

Walls are thin and lots of load people throughout the hotel makes for a hard night sleep.

A little concerned the other half of the latch was missing on the door. Also the cabinet door to reveal the fridge was broken and made it hard to open and close. I forgot to mention this to the front desk.

Room upkeep and maintenance is shabby. Many things need to be replaced or repaired. SHower curtain is too short leading to water pooling on floor. Very clean. Fridge is quiet. Property is clean. Lobby is clean and welcoming. CHeckin was friendly and easy.

Look the price was great, but man does this place need an upgrade. The toilet takes a whole lot of muscle to flush. It was so hard I thought it wasn't even working. The beds.....yeah plan on not getting any rest and an appt with your chiro after staying here.

Just an average motel. Was very noisy since it was right next to a freeway.

Room is tacky. Neighbors are very noisy at 3am.

Pros: check-in was relatively speedy, room has everything you need, including plenty of drawer space, closet space, in-room safe (although I didn’t use it), microwave and fridge. Cons: Noisy street traffic at all hours, very thin walls, noisy neighbors, terrible mattress/bedding, drafty, shower curtain not long enough so water spills out onto the floor, I’m allergic to dogs and cats and my allergies flared up real bad even though I took 3 Benadryl, not a walkable area–nothing to eat, see or do on foot. I needed to stay in the area and for that reason, this worked well enough, but I would not stay here again.

I didn't get to stay in the room I booked or any room for that matter and I was charged non refundable booking two hours in the cold rainy night because the hotel failed to tell me there was a required additional $100.00 deposit my daughter is ill and I made that very clear to the hotel staff while booking my stay on line. My daughter April 3 TMI's and suffers with Aphasia as I explained to your hotel staff. Because of technical difficulty sending my card information she was denied a stay and was put out back on the freezing cold rain. I'm very disappointed with the whole situation. Pleasant stay for the night. Great price. Staff was welcoming. Needs updated. Bed was just ok, have had worse. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for an affordable, clean room.

I appreciate them refunding in the end, but i dint appreciate thebclear communication regarding a $100 safety deposit which was more expensive then the room itself. I had bought the room for my friend but because he didnt have enough money for the deposit, he had to sleep elsewhere.

Staff is really nice and goes out of there way to make your stay enjoyable

I only had apple pay for check in and it was a headache I wish that hotels com made it clear what the hotels policy was on deposits becusse I literally searched for hotels with no deposits or apple pay deposits accepted and they sent me here. And I w have stayed here before in the past they waived the despite for me but I guess they don't do that anymore but hotels .com should make it clear so you aren't shocked and also he virtual agent shouldn't hook you up with a hotel that doe requires a deposit when it was one of your only search criteria

Upon booking what appeared to be a promising accommodation via Expedia, I arrived at the Pepper Tree Inn with expectations of a pleasant stay. Initially greeted by courteous staff member Nikki, who was delightful and kind, but never gave me warning. My experience took an unfortunate turn when a power outage occurred throughout the entire premises, unbeknownst to me due to street construction. I sought assistance in the pitch black dark of the night, and was told by Pablo, that it i should have been informed about the power outage posted (now in the dark) and at checkin. Unfortunately, all he could do was note my name, but stated that i could speak with management in the morning who could help with compensation, discount or otherwise. Despite returning the following morning seeking recourse, the manager Michelle immediately and adamantly refused any form of resolution, citing a single posted print out notice (off to the side of the counter) as justification. She stated that i should have read it instead of the staff needing to point it out. Dismissive communication and failure to address the inconvenience effectively reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. Regrettably, I received no compensation nor alternative arrangements, but rather a dismissive response with a smile. It is with disappointment that I relay my experience and advise against patronizing the Pepper Tree Inn, as their approach to customer care leaves much to be desired.

Staff was very friendly and helpful

The owner is not friendly. If you have a trailer even just overnight he charges $30 per day. No breakfast amenities. We stayed for two weeks for job and no maid service the whole time. We requested room service but to no avail. The motel needs some serious updating. Motel 6 is even better than this.

You can tell its an older building but was well maintained and very clean. Very easy access to and from the highway.

It was central to the sites we were going to be at.

While the property itself is decent enough for as old as it is (beds are truly very comfortable), the surrounding area is undergoing considerable construction and is very noisy during the daylight hours. Which can be a problem if staying multiple days and trying to sleep in or nap. At night, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear the neighbors constantly. To add insult to injury, someone broke into the car and stole several things, including my wife’s handicap placard. Nothing of any real value because we prepared for just such an eventuality, but it is annoying. It also denies that this probably isn’t the safest hotel to stay at. We only stayed here because it was so close to my work. I would definitely find a different hotel if I needed one in the area again.

If you're looking for easy access to the freeway, this the right off the exit. There's nearby shopping which is a plus and staff were very friendly.

Open faced stairs to 2nd floor. No real good dog walking spaces. Lots of road construction in the area.

We had a nice, quiet stay. Simple. Clean. Easy to find. We have loved to see maybe a simple breakfast option in the lobby and the vending machines needed filled. Otherwise, nice little place to stay.

Front desk very professional and pleasant. Easy check in. Room was clean and functional, basic and no frills but the bed was comfortable and linens were good quality. Coffee was provided in the lobby area, plentiful, but no in-room coffee available. A good vending machine and ice machine were conveniently located. Overall quiet and very convenient locaton for our need.

Great budget motel, way better than a motel 6. Bed was comfortable bathroom was nice and the coffee was great.
