***Not Happy with our stay*** •upon check in was told we would receive our IHG points by Erick (on checkout was told no because a 3rd party booking was used) fine. •Room was 78°off and on the first night ( we didn't sleep very well) finally got the unit to work for 2nd day. for the cost you would think they would have the air cool and refrigerator cold. •railtrain blowing the horn all night into early morning ( you could hear everything...) • Room smelled of stale cigar, cloth chair & ottoman in room had questionable stains (just nasty) •shower floor very slick • ice machine on our floor never worked we had to go up a floor for ice •Hallways and elevators smelled like weed. •18 to enter club on first floor. I must start with the fact that the room was clean overall. However, the paint was chipping and the wallpaper was coming off. The room also smelt like cigarettes. The hallway carpets weren’t the cleanest. The staff was okay at best. Some better than others. Employees were arguing in front of guests, other employees were correcting eachother in front of guests. It was an interesting experience. There are 20 something floors, and only 2 elevators working. We missed multiple uber rides because we had to wait 15+ minutes for the elevator. At one point, we took the stairs, and they wreaked of pee, had food on the ground, etc. it was gross. I would definitely not stay here again.

The bathroom was not fully cleaned. The sink didn't work properly. You had to hold down the toilet handle for it to flush properly. We were on the 15th floor, but the sliding door was broken. The little handle they had didn't properly work. The pool was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been clen in a while. Hallway smelled musty. The staff that checked was nice. My truck was scratched up while parking in the parking garage. Now the glass on my sunroof is scratched up. I'm not happy with the surrounding area. Didn't feel safe. A lot of homeless people are around. There were a lot of police out that didn't make me feel any better. That meant a very high crime rate. The elevator was slow and didn't seem to work properly. We were very nervous every time we had to get on and off it. Will not stay again or would I recommend it to anyone else. I give it a 2 star because of the balcony and the staff seem pleasant.

It was horrible. On the hotels.com app, there is an $8 option for parking, u fortunately the hotel does not honor prepaid parking and if you have to leave the garage during the day you have to pay exit fees to come and go, the hotel has vouchers to come and go, but was currently” out of them”. I was told that on Monday, this was a weekend stay, that I could send my credit card statements in to “possibly” get credits for the multiple charges when I had to leave the hotel during the day. They also do not honor the $8 prepaid breakfast that is on the hotels.com app, breakfast will be an extra $15 per person. Don’t stay here, it is the cheapest hotel in downtown Dallas for a reason. Rooms are outdated, bathrooms are dirty, tub didn’t even drain.

This hotel is terrible, when we got there we went to the elevator and the elevator sounded like it was going to break any second. When we got settled we went to check out the pool at night at 10:15 pm, but the doors were locked we tried our card, but it still didn’t work so we called the front desk and we told them that the doors were locked and the receptionist told us that he will send somebody up to open the door. Ten minutes later nobody was there to open the doors so we called again and the guy said that the pool is closed, but the worst part was that the sign said that it was open from 8 am to 11:00 pm. Next day we went to check out the pool again. We were there at 9:30am and pool still closed. I called receptionist again and she said due to maintenance they are not ready to open. I said they should change their pool hr of operation and she hung up on me. The girl restroom by the pool is broken, toilet completely til over and no sink water. I don’t know why they don’t lock up that restroom or put a sign. The bathtub doesn’t drain. The restroom is so small. You open the restroom door it hit the toilet. Terrible place.

Pool was always dirty. It had cups and bottles and empty chip bags floating in it. My half of the room had no electricity in the lamps. We asked several times about housekeeping and were told they would be coming up. It wasn’t until the next day went by after 12 pm when finally some one came by. The restaurant was closed half the time we stayed. We checked in Thursday afternoon and we were never told about a giant party taking up the entire pool for 8 hours Sunday. Their music was extremely loud and super disruptive. We should’ve been warned about the party when we checked it so we knew it was coming. This was the worst stay and I will never come back to this hotel ever. I will be giving a bad review. This was unacceptable.

I paid almost $500 with the $150 included for the deposit. There was poop on the side of the bathtub and toilet, the sink and tub was clogged. Housekeeping was called and i watched him "clean" the bathroom and still miss the poop on the side of the toilet and i assumed he had cleaned the poop off the side of the tub, but nope! Maintenance came twice to unclog the sink and bathtub. Housekeeping just tried to open our room door instead of knocking. I honestly should have gotten at least sone of my money back. Its ok though ill never stay there again.

literally worst hotel I’ve ever stayed! First, area is not safe. Many homeless in area day & night. not safe. Constantly begging & harrassing. 2. Air cond leaked. Refused change room. Found pubic hair on towel. Pix attached. 3rd, rooms and hallways smell musty/mouldy. 4. Housekeeping do not clean daily. hotels dot com say it does. Hotel refused. Room cleaned 1ce only during an 8 night stay. 5. Theworst encounter I’ve ever experienced was the violation by security on the last day. In the morning, I spoke with Teri at reception & arranged a late checkout. I did not care about cost but wanted a 7pm checkout. She offered a 50% roommate which we confirmed to be $42 usd. No problem. At 5.03pm, security attempted to barge into my room banging on the door. I was dressed only in a towel as I was about to shower. He kept pushing the door despite the latch being on. I assumed there was an emergency of sorts and opened the door. An extremely large 6,8 man stood over me & ordered me out of the room saying he didn’t know I was in there. I explained the extension & he said that was only till 5pm & to hurry up & get out. I reiterated the 7pm agreement with Teri. They denied it & said it was 5pm. Told me to pack up & get out. I said I wanted to shower. No way. Get out. He called for back up. Put his foot in the door & told me to pack up & get out now. Literally spoke to me like that. It was horrific! Refused me privacy to get dressed properly. I felt so Violated! I want a full refund!

My room was unclean. Shower was broke. A big water spot was on the floor. A large crack was on balcony door. Shower held was rust. It was long hair inside the shower. The room was not cleaned prior. It was a live cricket in the room and I couldn't catch it. It was about 7-8 dead crickets at the head of the bed. Front desk told me "Oh....thats normal. Its the season. Thats just how it is" I took pictures and will be contacting corporate on this. This room was not clean at all. Unclean.

The balcony door lock was broken so unable to secure it fully. The room was right next to a busy train station and an intersection. Heard every single box truck drive over the railroad crossing. The room had two broken lights (one would not come on and the other flickered). Just was not the experience we were hoping for from a hotel called Crowne Plaza. In addition, only two of the four elevators were working, and when I checked in and checkout, had to wait for someone to show up to help out. No one at the desk.

Let's just say that the "elevators" makes "everyone" who stays there feel let down and frustrated. Good luck trying to get out the door when it's time to leave. Basically 2 elevators that work at one time and they love to stop on 1 floor whether someone gets on or off. After stating the obvious, let's focus on the other things Checking in was kind of seamless, but not very forthcoming on how to manage the garage ticket system when you have prepaid or th for breakfast. Having said that, the breakfast was wonderful and the servers omwere nice. No one checked to make sure there was plenty of shampoo and conditioner in the bottles, and we ran out after the 1st day. They were pretty quick to come to the room and bring more, but we asked for fresh towels but they were not left. The pool and lounge area is nice, but you can tell the pool is old and showing it's teeth. It was nice to swim in though. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and nice water pressure, but who doesn't have a mini microwave on hotel rooms nowadays. Not big deal, but heating up left overs is nice. It's a great location though, and close to walking distance to a lot of things that are in the downtown area No fuss in checking out and I will say that communicating by Text is a nice touch!!! Overall a decent experience, but the elevators take away from what is nice about the place

There were things that was not good, but in total I was happy. I didn’t use the pool area so I can’t say anything about that. The staff was friendly, breakfast was surprisingly good, both as buffé and menu. The building is clearly old, the elevators were a nightmare, but we could laugh about it. Fridge/minibar in the room didn’t work. They clearly have a problem with these fridges. I got a new room because the first room had a fridge with towel in it and melting ice. That was probably not supposed to happen anyways. But in the new room I got wet under my feet by the fridge, so most likely they have been melting the ice there as well. Beds were good, I slept like princess. It’s a bit noisy neighbourhood (but that was not their fault 😅), you have to be prepared for train honking, sirens, cause the windows are probably also old and let every sound in. I’m happy I had my sleeping earbuds with me. Perfect placement- all the main attractions are in a walking distance. A lot of good restaurants and cafes right around the corner. I didn’t feel the area quite safe for a lone female traveler though.

Nobody answers the phone at this hotel. I tried calling multiple times yesterday to confirm my stay for the night. Just kept going to voice mail. They did not have my reservation, booked through a 3rd party, when I got to the hotel so I had to book their “last” room. Started at $200 before fees. Somehow the front desk person could arbitrarily drop the cost. He gave me $10 off for lending my iPhone charger to a kid. The 3rd party is trying to reach out to the hotel to rectify this situation and they CANT GET ANYBODY ON THE PHONE AT THE HOTEL.

I was a little skeptical about making the reservation because of other reviews but I really enjoyed my stay. The tall security guard at the front desk took real good care of me. He’s a true leader! I hate I forgot his name. Anyway, he’s super tall so you can’t miss him. Solid guy!!! From the room, bar (Thrive), and breakfast it fit our needs perfectly. Thanks so much! I will be returning.

Upon our arrival the front desk clerk was not professional at all. He gave zero information regarding location of any single amenities. I had to go back to the desk to enquirer about breakfast times. We traveled from overseas and accidentally left my wife’s medication in the refrigerator. The medication is for insulin resistance. We called back the evening we checked out and it has been a nightmare getting anyone to answer phones as well as get up to the room to find the medication. We were told by the manager that all items found in rooms go to the lost and found. Clearly this is not the case and the staff steals items like this. The medication is Ozempic. Although many people abuse its use for weight loss, my wife needs this medication to help her generate insulin. Because we have traveled from overseas, we have yet been able to get any pharmacy to honor the prescription she had from our doctor in South Africa. This has been an absolute nightmare that has been amplified by a clearly inadequate staff at this hotel. Do not stay here. If you really ha e an issue, they will not be capable of handling it and you will never get a call back for any feedback. We pressed them For 3 days with no results whatsoever. Absolute shame.

The property is clean. The area where it's located is in the heart of dowtown it's convenient and also be aware that there's homeless people in the same block. The staff is friendly and very "chill" and not in a good way. The night before the check out, I asked one of the night staff in the front desk if we can store our luggages after check out, and he was like "Ofcourse, as long as it wont take more than 24 hours." fast forward to the next day, during check out. I asked the staff in the front desk again if we store our luggages for a couple of hours, and he said "No. we dont have space." I would've appreciated if he atleast try to help and give us options be he rejected us right away. I never write a bad review, but this is really hitting the mark.

Great location, very close to public transportation (all or most train lines) and buses. West end station located (Elm and Lamar and couple blocks in each direction from there scary, lots of homeless people-can be concerning to walk in that area-heavy police presence. I didn't have an issue but something to note. Otherwise hotel good/average, I'd have no problem staying there again mainly because of the great location in the downtown area

From check in to check out everything was flawless. No issues. No problems. Would, and will stay again. If I had a negative it would be the “street people” outside. Night time in that area seemed kind of sketchy. It that is not something the hotel can help. All in all a very good stay.

Overall great stay, especially for the price. Was here for a volleyball tournament and the location was great for getting to the convention center, the West End, and restaurants in the area. Service was very friendly and helpful. Was not a fan of closing the restaurant early to set up a night club and the pool was closed while we were there, but other than that, would highly recommend.

There were cockroaches in the room, alive and dead. The carpets were worn and smelled. The elevators were old, slow, clunky and made crunching noises. We went to the bar and ordered two glasses of wine and the charge was $35 per glass for generic wine. Never stay there again.

Staff are ridiculously unfriendly and unhelpful. Paid for parking online, I had to pay again. Reserved a room with a balcony, did not get it, when I asked to change rooms I was refused. Was supposed to come with breakfast for two guests. It did not you have to pay. Elevator barley worked. One good thing is the room was clean.

I liked the location - I could walk to the attractions in the downtown area. I liked having the bar/restaurant on the property. The only complaint is that the breakfast was all or nothing - a buffet - you could not order something a la carte or smaller.

There were things that was not good, but in total I was happy. I didn’t use the pool area so I can’t say anything about that. The staff was friendly, breakfast was surprisingly good, both as buffé and menu. The building is clearly old, the elevators were a nightmare, but we could laugh about it. Fridge/minibar in the room didn’t work. They clearly have a problem with these fridges. I got a new room because the first room had a fridge with towel in it and melting ice. That was probably not supposed to happen anyways. But in the new room I got wet under my feet by the fridge, so most likely they have been melting the ice there as well. Beds were good, I slept like princess. It’s a bit noisy neighbourhood (but that was not their fault 😅), you have to be prepared for train honking, sirens, cause the windows are probably also old and let every sound in. I’m happy I had my sleeping earbuds with me. Perfect placement- all the main attractions are in a walking distance. A lot of good restaurants and cafes right around the corner. I didn’t feel the area quite safe for a lone female traveler though.

I was a little skeptical about making the reservation because of other reviews but I really enjoyed my stay. The tall security guard at the front desk took real good care of me. He’s a true leader! I hate I forgot his name. Anyway, he’s super tall so you can’t miss him. Solid guy!!! From the room, bar (Thrive), and breakfast it fit our needs perfectly. Thanks so much! I will be returning.
