Room was wonderful; however the TV had few channels. When asked the staff replied we didn't have a "smart tv" even though the room guide showed at least 4 times more channels. Also, the elevator was "not working" right at check-out time. i use a cane and getting down the stairs with our luggage was not enjoyable.

Overall nice place, beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. The walls are paper thin and I could hear our neighbors conversations & someone sneezing. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide assortment. Pool & outdoor space was nice, although odd for the pool to close at 8pm in the middle of summer.

The room was clean and pleasant, the staff always kind. Breakfast was included and solid. The lower rating was only for the fact that the water wasn't working for part of our weekend and when it did, was only cold. Only one of the two elevators was working and at one point the fourth floor button fell off and people had to walk up the last flight. Took what would have been a high rating materially down, as one would expect. Hope the maintenance crew can be brought in to get this solid hotel up to snuff

I like this property, there are a lot of stores and a lot to do around the property. There is a breakfast buffet which was wonderful. however, trying to find parking on the weekends was a nightmare and I also booked this property to take the kids swimming while on vacation for Mother’s Day but the pool was closed.

The room was clean & comfortable. However, we had no hot water our first morning. This issue must jave been fixed because we had no other issue for the other two days. The ice machine was broken on our floor. There were people hanging out in the rear parking lot at night, which didn’t make us feel safe.

no hot water, shower leaked all over the floor, the door got stuck closed and we had a hard time getting out of our room, neither of the washing machines worked , was told by staff they would find a solution and contact us in 15 mins.. that was 17 hours ago.

Our room was dirty and beds had crumbs all over! The ice machine filters were disgusting! We were moved to another room and you can tell not even a broom was passed with all the dirt and garbage stacked up on the lining of the wall and floors! The pool filtration system was not on and the pool was filthy! Dead bugs floating everywhere and the water was gloomy! The smell in the hallways was musky and like a wet dog! This needs a lot of help and fire all your staff!!

There were cobwebs and dead small flies on the wall along with a disgusting dried booger on the bathroom wall. Black fingerprints all over the ceiling in the shower area. There were multiple ora ge streaks on the carpet that was either rust or something else. I had to throw away 2 pairs of socks that were stained from whatever was on the carpet. We would have left but there were no other hotels available. 2nd gross IHG room in one month. Not a great way to start as a new IHG rewards member.

This was probably one of the worst hotel stays I've stayed at. Outdoor and lobby areas are clean and nice. But when we checked in the tv was not receiving a signal, we went to the front desk and was told it had been out for a few days, which should have been mentioned when we checked in. The bathroom needs updating and a deep cleaning. The following day, the water was not functioning for about 2 hours, couldn't flush the total, barely a trickle in the sink and shower. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but only stayed 1 night.

The elevator didn’t work and wouldn’t take us to our 4th floor so had to get off at the 3rd floor and walk up to the 4th floor. The front desk said they should probably get that checked out but nothing was ever done. Wish breakfast would have began earlier than 7am since had to leave before 7am for our tournament games. Our room had stains and was dirty. The coffee maker and supplies looked like they had coffee and stains. Not clean in anyway. The shower didn’t produce hot water and my daughter had to get a super cold shower. I tried this morning but still no warm or hot water so wasn’t able to get a shower. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.

I generally love Holiday Inn express, and it’s usually my first choice for business travel. Recently, I have noticed a greater disparity between Holiday Inn express properties across the nation, and, unfortunately, the Exton, PA location is lower on the list. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious, however The bathroom was dirty and the room itself could have been better cleaned. There was hair on the towels and in the shower, and there were bad stains in the shower (within the shower, as well as the shower head, and the seams connecting the shower to the wall). The drain in the bathroom sink was broken and the lever did not work so the sink was not draining. I used a coffee stirrer to prop open the drain. The refrigerator would not get cold enough. And the elevator buttons would not alight. You never knew if you’d actually activated the elevator. The breakfast is great. I always love the breakfast at Holiday Inn express. The staff is friendly but not able to communicate well. Fortunately, I speak a couple languages so I was able to get the information I needed, but it would’ve been nice if they could have some basic conversational skills to answer a question like “Where are the stairs?” I probably would not stay at this location again, but I would stay at Holiday Inn express again.

No receptionist was at the front desk when we came in, and there was no ringing bell (or something like that) for us to inform the staffers that we needed to check in. We waited for a longer time than usual. The toilet flushing mechanism didn't work all the time.

The shower needs renovating. The towels provided in our room were stained, so we needed new ones. We had late check out and house keeping entered our room without knocking. Only one elevator was working. It's in a nice location though.

I thought for $100.00 per day I would have gotten better service. Asking for someone to come in and clean a room everyday I think should be a supervisor’s job not a guest job. I had a 3 night stay and when I left trash was stacked in the corner of the room. Towels and wash cloths were stacked under the sink. The bed was never made and the sheets were never changed. The receptionist told md if I needed the room cleaned I needed to tell them by 9am. Nobody was at the desk when I left every morning to tell and again I don’t think it us my job while on vacation to tell someone to do their job.

The hotel is located in a great area. Lots of shopping and dining options within walking distance or a few minutes drive away. We stayed for 3 nights and did have an issue with our room on the first night. Kinsey at the reception desk was the best and helped us to get a new room. The next day we met Sam the Manager who not only assisted us with the room and compensation, but went ABOVE and BEYOND by helping us with a personal matter that had nothing to do with his job. Yet he still helped us. The staff truly make this hotel special. Thank you.

Employees were great. Room was clean and very nice. Elevator buttons were a little wonky, didn't light up, so we weren't quite sure if they were working. Breakfast was adequate, as we were not early risers, choices had dwindled by 9am. One of the 2 coffee machines wasn't working.

No hot water in shower or sink. Echo in the hallway with no soft close room doors. Shower floor not clean. Ran out of bacon. Pancake machine broken. No one cleaning tables. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express in West Chester which is fine but needed to stay closer to the turnpike. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Overall stay is good. Hotel breakfast buffet closes at 9:30 am which is too early. It should be open atleast until 10am on working day. Especially with people coming to drop their kids in move in week. More staff should be there to support breakfast staff
