Fort Washington Inn

The elevator was in need of repairs and very noisy. I enjoyed a quiet relaxing night. My room was clean and bed and pillows were perfect.

The hotel was under renovation. The hallways were dirty. The elevator was beat up from them moving things and I was concerned about the smoke detectors in the hallways were covered in tape over the weekend when nobody was working . I didn’t think that was a very good idea and the bathroom needs a second update.

They need to upgrade their elevators. They are way to noisy and slow.

The parking lot was easy to find & very spacious!!

This is an older property. They are renovating- it clearly had glory days. It was convenient

The pool is actually closed until Memorial day even though its an indoor pool. No notice on expedia or the bw site it is closed. There are NO rollaways ever, confirmed with staff. Lies they told, both expedia and the hotel. Why is there a smell in the hallways? Like wet carpet? And the elevator is anxiety inducing with how loud and shaky it is.

Hotel is sort of in an industrial area. Road construction nearby. Renovations inside the hotel as well. Pool and restaurant are both closed. My room was clean and recently refurbished with new flooring and fresh paint and fixtures. Bed was comfortable. Aircon worked well. Breakfast was a plus.Overall, decent place to rest a night.

Pool closed and not one staff member mentioned it or no sign until you get to the actual door to the pool with your bathing suit on and ready for a swim. Our door to our room did not lock properly and light switch was too close to door frame so door frame just rough cut around it and no shampoo in the room just conditioner and lotion. Rusted out train car in front of Indian restaurant on property with no explanation as to why it is there. Lady putting out breakfast and refilling items wearing headphones while working with no excuse me or speaking to guests. Ice machine dispenser not dispensing more than 1/2 an ice bucket. Was likely a nice property at one time but seems to need some updates. An additional $75 hold was put on my credit card and I was told it would drop the next day at checkout and it has still yet to drop off my card so likely tomorrow being D3 since I stay there I’m going to have to call to get that matter fixed.

My stay at Best Western Fort Washington Inn was deeply disappointing. The elevator was out of service for my entire visit, forcing me to use stairs repeatedly, which was inconvenient and tiresome. Adding to the frustration, the pool was also out of order, eliminating a key amenity we had looked forward to. Inside the room, basic comforts were missing. There was no electric kettle or coffee machine available, making it impossible to prepare hot beverages. To top it off, I couldn't even enjoy a glass of wine as no wine glasses were provided. These cumulative issues severely impacted my experience, falling far short of expected hotel standards.

We stayed for 1 night and i was with my mother in law who cant go up stairs. The elevator was broke so we had to walk to the end of the hotel up the stairs to the older part of the hotel to get the elevator and walk quite a ways to our room. We had to carry all of our belongings because the we had to go up steps to elevator. It is outdated and not so clean.

Stay away from this place. Dirty nightstands, a clogged bathtub, and unclean floors. It was a big mistake to choose this hotel for a stay. Raised 3 requests to unclog the bath tub. NO ACTION was taken by the staff.

This property was extremely unclean. In addition there were several hazards as to the flooring and the exposure of some area that were open, paint exposed and bedding had yellow stains.

Bathroom was gross. Had a rusted tub drain and very messy looking.

The rooms are horrible and the floors are really dirty you'd think that because there's no carpet it would be clean no, my daughter had socks on and they were black. My parents had mold in their rooms and there was tons of water damage in our bathroom. The room also smelled like cigarettes when we came in, which was not good because we had an infant and toddler with us. It was just for the night so we just stayed and left quickly in the morning. I will say the breakfast was good as this was packed.

There was nothing wrong with the material aspect of the property. The room was nice, the temperature control worked, the parking lot made parking easy. The check in staff weren't hospitable/friendly. The other staff seemed fine. No one was 2SLGBTQIA friendly, but the hotel isn't labeled as a safe space so you'll have that. The thing was, this place was absolutely filthy. I took pictures because it was that unbelievable, but there's no way to post them. There was hair from multiple people everywhere- on the toilet seat, in the beds, in the bathtub, on the tables, on the floor, etc. I'm pretty sure no one has ever cleaned the furniture. One of the chairs had brown crusty stuff on it, plus a pool of something sticky on the seat, plus other stuff on it. Everything else was just as bad. The towels were gross. My wife wouldn't use the bathroom until she cleaned it, and what came off on those rags !!!! You would have to see it to believe it. The worst part was the floor by the beds. Your socks would turn black by the time you crossed the room, which meant we couldn't just relax and kick our shoes off at the end of the day. You could only sit on the bed because your clothes would get damaged if you sat on the other furniture from the filth, so it led to keeping shoes on and trying not to put shoes on the bed. We weren't able to be comfortable, we weren't able to rest, we had to do our own cleaning, and we didn't feel welcome. Kinda voids the point of staying in a hotel.

Bathroom and tub were so dirty. My shoes stuck to the floor,the sink leaked and the tub was so dirty we waited to get home to shower.

Sheets were stained in the middle of the bed! Gross! Staff said they were clean, just stained....huh!??? Staff came and stripped bedding at 10:30 at night! Room in desperate need of an update, old beds, chipped paint, stained tub....find somewhere else to stay!!!

The room was disgusting. When you walk on the floor you can feel the dirty ness on the ground. There is rust and gross dirt in the jacuzzi. The bed was terribly made and had specs of dirt all over it. It looks like no one had cleaned the room. It’s taken me three days now to get in contact with the manager so at this point I’m disputing with my bank as I left the same night of check in because of how disgusting it was.

Property looked old and floor was not clean.

The stairwell was dirty with a pizza crust on the floor. It remained there my entire stay. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the room is just outdated. I paid more for the deposit than my room itself. The security guard stayed on the computer the entire evening. I would not stay here again.

TV didn't get many channels and wasn't fixed for our stay

I stayed here two weeks for a business trip, which occurred on short notice. Pretty decent breakfast, laundry facilities and rooms at a reasonable price. Only downsides were that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and the gym facilities were quite limited.

Everything was good but the mattress, it was so hard I felt like I was sleeping on a board. Woke up next day with a back ache

We only had one chair, an office chair with wheels. No other place to sit to but on clothes and shoes. The bed is to high for that and the chair rolls away. The refrigerator hums loudly and is a distraction to sleep. The bottom drawer of the dresser would no stay closed. Most hotels now have USB ports for charging. Breakfast buffet was good but unless you get there as soon as they open you will not get a table which there are not enough of. As well there was the lounge but all the seats there were take as well. We went out as there was only one chair in our room. I chose this hotel because it offered breakfast. So it was an extra $50 that we had to spend. The second day we went down early and got the last table. The food was good and staff was very nice. Over all it was OK but will look for a more updated hotel next time.

Breakfast was great. The rooms were oddly empty with. I accessory seating with a lot of room. Just strangely under decorated like it was mid renovation.

Well, checking in was whatever, not a bad experience- the mini-store by the front desk was surprisingly affordable. The room however was...odd. Two beds, but one was an actual mattress that was moderately comfortable, but the other felt like a totally different thing. It felt like it was just a box speing. And thats being nice. Very uncomfortable. Everything else was fine. But man, beds were awful.

Whether it was guests walking about on the floor above my room, or people in the parking lot outside my window, or guests laughing in the hallway at 3:30 in the morning, the noise was enough to wake me up.

The hotel was in a quiet, convenient location. The room was spacious and clean. The shower fixtures were showing their age, but still worked. Breakfast was included in the price. Good value for the money.

The room was not cleaned properly and I had to ask for room change The attendant was very nice and compassionate to give a different room She also gave some tea bags to make me more comfortable

Have stayed here on several occasions to take care of family matters. Coming up from FL this is always my go to Hotel. I have always been checked in by Virginia who is amazing. Always extremely helpful and actually cares about you the customer. Just a great person !

-Dirty bath towel hanging on bathroom door hook -Face towel hanging on shower curtain -Bathroom door hard to close -Bathtub - standing water - clogged bathtub -Changed rooms -Asked front desk for plunger as toilet was slow for flushing. Was told to ask the house keeper. They didn’t have any and told me they would take it to front desk. Asked front desk a few hours later was told to ask Peter on the floor. -Front desk person was more eager to look at her phone than talk to me. Kept paying attention to her phone and was short with me as if I was interrupting her. -Wanted to use the computer in the business center to print some documents and there was a sign indicating to talk to the front desk for a password. -Went to the front desk and advised I wanted to use the computer and asked for a password and the clerk said you don’t need one. I said, oh there a sign saying you need a password. She said you don’t need one with a tone. I didn’t like tone so I told her then you need to remove the sign or upstate it. - Overall, the least pleasant experience I’ve had staying at a Best Western. Everywhere else, in different states, the staff have been pleasant and helpful.

I was eatting breakfast this morning and someone was mopping the floor. I got up to go throw my plate in the trash and the staff member screamed at me because she didnt want me walking where i walked when i purposely walked around the wet spots. Then last night i had to purchase some drinks, and the lady at the desk seemed annoyed because i had wanted to purchase some drinks. Seemed like i was interrupting her. Hotel was kinda dirty. And when i booked the hotel- i was told it was $130 if that on the website. When i went to the hotel, they charged me double!!

Unprofessional Manager and Unsafe Elevator - Avoid This Hotel I stayed at this hotel on October 19th, arriving at 3 p.m., and was shocked by the rude and hostile behavior of the manager. Instead of greeting guests, she met us with snarling looks and yelled at those arriving slightly early for check-in. She berated both me, my family, and other guests waiting in line. The situation worsened when she followed me to my floor, continued to argue, and even told me to go to another hotel. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and made the entire check-in process uncomfortable. On top of this, the elevator was in terrible condition and felt unsafe to use. If I wasn’t attending a wedding immediately, I would have left. I do not recommend this hotel and urge management to address these issues immediately.

Virginia went above and beyond.

We had problems with our room, I went to the front desk and explained the problem. Virginia was very helpful, she accommodated my husband and I. As well as help me with ideas on where to go sightseeing. Because of Virginia I would gladly return as well as recommend Best western

Location was great away from the city. Needed to stay only for a night so it was convenient for me and my family.

This is a good, basic, no frills accommodation. Staff helpful and accessible. Breakfast selection could be a tad broader. The attraction is its location. Right --and I do mean right- on a Penn Turnpike exit. Close to Glenside, not far at all from Chestnut Hill. Cost: reasonable. I will return but not for the Spartan breakfast, but for the location and fair cost.

This is our second stay. Very convenient and quiet location despite being so close to Turnpike. Rooms are large and spacious. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great! Looking forward to seeing the upcoming renovations!

Hotel was somewhat run-down. Carpets, bathrooms, etc. Breakfast was top notch. Desk personnel and breakfast supervisor were all great!

Although the onsite restaurant is closed, there were many wonderful restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Down fall to site, outlets covers were not attached to the wall.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a convenient location, with plenty of parking. The best part was the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had: eggs with a cheese filling, 3 types of cereal, muffins/breads, coffee, 3 types of juices, sausages, yogurt, and best of all--a machine thst automatically makes you 2 pancakes!
