I was attending a convention with 1,000+ people. They only had 2 of 4 elevators working. It was chaos and a lot of frustrated people. Hopefully they can get those repaired soon. Wish they would have gotten their technicians there on Sat morning when they realized there was a problem.

I would stay here again. The hotel was nice, the restaurant food & bar was great! The rooms were a little warm. The gym equipment should be updated but it got the job done. This hotel was also close to everything!

Front desk staff were great! The elevators from the garage were not working so we had to haul our suitcases all the way from the garage to the front door. They only had one golf cart to help ferry customers from the garage and this was overwelmed

The room at first glance was ok. The bed was comfortable and water in the bathroom was extremely hot. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. A brush full of hair from a previous guest was left in the room. When I asked for my room to be clean my tooth brush was left face down on the counter opened out of case not on the towel I left it. Hair was left near my hygiene items. I didn’t appreciate the condition of the bathroom. For the cost the location was the best part of the stay. Overall I wouldn’t go back.

We have stayed here a few times the past two years but the last stay with had here wasn’t the best experience. Our room wasn’t the cleanest, hair in the restroom and the sheets had small blood stains. Definitely will not be staying here again. But overall a great place for a quick night.

We had to change rooms because our linening on the bed was DIRTY. I mean filthy. The crazy part is you couldn’t see it unless the covers were helped up to the light. And they don’t have daily room cleaning unless you ask before 1pm. I would not stay there again

This room needed a few TLC. The tub water sprout piece was disconnected from the wall. whenever you flush the toilet it sound like something was going to pop out. The toilet would run for a long period of time. it also look like the room may have suffered some kind of water damage. there was hair left on the toilet seat as well as on top of the toilet.

Clean room. The AC fan could not be put on high or it squeaked. Midnight, on night one I requested a new room because my neighbor was singing at the top of his lungs. They would not move me. He did eventually stop singing. Next night, same thing!!!

Even though I left early for a family emergency, my one day stay was great. The rim was clean, the bed was comfortable. My only thing would be the room was a tad bit dated and had a "older hotel odor," though not overbearing or anything that hindered my experience. Overall, quick, but good stay.

Walls are paper thin! We could hear other guests moving around in the adjoining rooms. The Front desk seemed short staffed as there was always a line. Our room was a little outdated and didn’t look like the pictures advertised on the website. We purchased food from the lounge and it was nothing to rave about.

The service was the most memorable along with the designs and rooms, I have never seen customer service like that from a hotel/concierge/room service, the room service guy Jorge went and actually found things for us that had been thrown out as well at the end, they took care of our parking for the minor inconvenience. Got my room upgraded because there was no rooms availabile?! it felt like a dream from the moment we stepped into the hotel! it was beautiful as well

Hotel itself is good and clean, staffing is terrible. Had to wait for everything, car valet 10 mins for someone to appear, coffee shop, 15 mins for someone to appear from the back room. Lounge bar and facilities don’t open till 5pm due to lack of staff. Worse still is not one staff member cared or apologized, seems they don’t care either.

I was told the morning of we could have an early check in at 2 pm. I showed up and they said nothing would be ready until 4pm. I left to kill some time and returned at 3:15 and all of the sudden my room was available. I was in a time crunch to be somewhere and they didn’t call me, text me or anything to tell me my room was ready. Had I not gone up there early I still would’ve been waiting. Whoever Iris is in on the phone had an attitude every time I spoke to her. The guest communication needs lots of improvement and work honestly. Other than that the room was clean, near the elevator, and had a great view.

When I arrived, I was tired and hungry. The restaurant is closed in the afternoon, but at check-in they said I could order room service. I tried calling 4 times over 20 minutes, and no one ever answered the phone. So I decided to go out and get something to eat. I went downstairs to get my car from valet. The car came quickly, but I couldn’t drive straight out because there were parked cars in front of me and a cone blocking the center. To exit, the valet guy said I had to back up to an area where I could turn left into another driveway. I did that, but before I got there, another car pulled up, parked, and the man left his car. It made it very difficult to get out. I eventually got out to the 610 feeder road. I was so irritated that when I was at the restaurant eating, I canceled my reservation at this hotel for next week, and booked another hotel. 15 years ago, I used to enjoy staying at this Royal Sonesta, but I won’t be staying here again.

A somewhat disfunctional staff, first morning at breakfast I was served a double espresso the following morning was told I had to go buy that myself from the shop, final day it was no problem. Asked for late check out, again was told it was no problem by problem by the front desk. Upon check out at the agreed time I was charged a full nights stay. The staff told me to speak to Expedia and request a refund, at that point they would agree the refund. Did as instructed and was informed the hotel manager was refusing to issues the refund. Spoke to the hotel manager directly who advised “the procedure” for late check out, non of which had been communicated previously, again still refused to provide refund but advised he would let me know the outcome of his investigations. Eventually agreed a half day charge after proposing this as this is fairly standard from experiences elsewhere. Overall a bit disappointed with the rather cold and unhelpful service both during and at the end of a 3 night stay.

Overall, the hotel is beautiful, clean, and offers stunning views from the higher floors. The staff was friendly, the bar drinks were great, and the pool and gym were excellent. Unfortunately, the elevator situation significantly affected my experience. Despite having approximately five elevators, it often seemed like only one or two were operating. Throughout my stay, getting an elevator was frustrating and chaotic. On checkout day, I waited nearly 20 minutes and eventually had to ride an elevator UP just to get DOWN, stopping at nearly every floor along the way. There were also multiple occasions when we had to exit an elevator, press the button again, and wait for another one just to reach our destination. For a four-star hotel, this is unacceptable. If the property accommodates a high volume of guests, particularly on higher floors, the elevators should be properly maintained and capable of handling that demand. Guests shouldn't have to struggle just to get to and from their rooms. I genuinely hope management addresses this issue because the hotel has so much potential. While I enjoyed the amenities, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere, the ongoing elevator problems took away from an otherwise lovely stay. A beautiful hotel should also be functional, especially at a four-star standard.
