SpringHill Suites Houston Hobby Airport

We chose this hotel for the pool with 4 children. The pool was locked up. Upon request, it was unlocked after an hour wait. We did not go in because it was filthy dirty.

Our room was adequate. It was clean and well appointed, so there were no issues with that. However, it's clear that the hotel needs some work as some areas seem a little weary and worn. For example, only one of the two elevators was working. And another example, was that two of the three ice machines were not working. Everything appeared to be clean in the restaurant, and the food was good, and the variety was excellent. I think the service at the front desk was quick and polite, and we were taken care of with a friendly staff. The outside of the hotel, especially around the entrance looked a little worn and could use some new paint, a little spic and span cleaning, it may be a little landscaping to make it look more visually appealing. And all it was a convenient stay that was close to the airport, but it wasn't very memorable.

Pool not open green-yuck maybe will get serviced. I’ve lived in Pasadena so I know it’s humid here, but the room felt extra humid. Bedding and floor felt wet. Restroom is tiny, I’m a 5’4 150 lbs gal. I got a second room and yes the first one was not ok, but I had to pay more

I went to check in, computers were down had to wait, purchased a soda, it was flat. I went to get ice, it was broken, had to go to another floor, got stuck on the elevator, went to use ATM it was broken, bugs crawling across the bathroom floor, day 2 key cards would not work.

The hotel shuttle was very good. The driver was excellent. As well, the hotel staff was very pleasant. Finally, for the price the room was great. Thanks

We specifically rented this hotel because it had a pool and bar in the hotel. The pool was closed and i was told the bar is permanently closed. But that wasnt in the description of the hotel and was no disclosed. There are actually pictures with tge bar in the listing.

Room was dirty and saw a few cockroaches. The property was really run down

Very clean, modern, large suite. Employees were kind and helpful. Free shuttle service to the airport was a nice perk. Great value. Lisa at the front desk was a joy

We found mold on sofa and bed. Asked front desk , they checked and told me that room was empty for 1 month. I was surprised to witness mold on sprillhill suits by Marriate . We end up not staying there. Since we went there to check in midnight, we were unable to book online any other hotel since same night. We drove door to door several hotel, and finally found on to stay. It was total hazards at middle of the night with family and kids.

the hallways were dirty and smelled bad. the areas around the hotel is dirty. the elevators are not clean and outdated. the entry way needs to be cleaned. all around this location is very dirty and unclean.

Refrigerator was not clean and did not get cold. Room smelled like mildew. And the hotel was not like the picture

We enjoyed a comfortable a night stay at Springhill Suites. The room was clean and quiet, with comfortable bedding and a well-appointed bathroom. Staff were friendly and responsive — housekeeping and front desk handled requests promptly. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold items. Overall, highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

I would have given it zero starsbut the one star was for the good shuttle service & the nice check out lady in the morning. The place is filthy. If we hadnt been traveling for 24 hours straight- and i wouldnt have lost money on the prepay hotel we would have went someone else. We slept with our hoods tied, of our hoodies and in out. Lotges and tried not to touch anything. Wd stayed for 3 hoursa d went to our next hitel. Huge white stains all i er couch, many hairs all in the bed- extra seats for pull out couch stains on those. Fioltgy carpet- very very very gross. Hope we didnt catch anything. Left checked in ealry to next hotel and took long showers. Hirrific for a marriot and if i could get a refund ir didnt prepay based in the pics they oosted i would have left.

Very nice CLEAN hotel! Nice variety of breakfast options, and I really appreciate the welcoming clean atmosphere. Customer service has been very welcoming also.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Quick overnight stay to catch an early morning flight. The staff was friendly, the shuttle driver to airport was excellent! The room itself was average, nothing fancy but definitely needs a facelift. Fabric couches in hotels just need to go away...with all the different "fluids" that can be left on them, a couch that can be wiped and disinfected is necessary in a hotel.

Our Air Conditioner wouldn't turn off and it was very cold outside, so we had place towels over the unit to try and keep the room warm as possible. The frt desk wasn't helpful and only offered hotel points...smh

This hotel needs an upgrade on the TV's, the channels were not clear, thought we were back in the 80's trying to see watch different channels; especially at a "Marriott". The overnight staff, should be more professional and friendly. The day shift, were great!

Communicating through text was really easy and helpful. The front desk crew was fabulous! The channel lineup had no movie channels that I found and reception was poor. I used my ipad to watch TV and movies.

Light outside is too bright and the curtain can’t block the light completely in the evening.

Rooms are large and spacious. The bathroom was pretty small but doable. I appreciated the fact that there was a sofa bed, but would have love to have two queen beds instead of two devils the hotel itself was clean and updated. The property, however, is struggling there is an abandoned dilapidated restaurant out front, the grounds are not very well taken care of and the area surrounding the hotel is horrible. we only stayed here because it had a free shuttle to and from the airport and because it had the Marriott name but don’t let that fool you as the Fairfield, down the street was not acceptable in my opinion.

It was alright. The place seemed clean,rooms were a decent size. I would have left 5 stars except for 2 things. 1. The woman manning the front desk was curt & not friendly or welcoming. We got back from the restaurant located next door. We went there for dinner. A band was setting up on patio.We asked, & found out live bands are there Friday & Saturday from 9 to 1:00 pm. Our room was at end of the building & next to the restaurant. We asked lady at the front desk if we could get a different room. She very curtly told us that no noise gets in the room and the room is very quiet. Very curt and dismissive. Well guess what? We heard all the music just fine until about one in the morning. Don’t get a room at the end of the building by Tequila 45. 2. The temperature really dropped that Saturday and Sunday. When we got back to our room Saturday evening, the AC kept running. We could not get it off & we couldn’t get any heat. After being out in the cold that day,we were really looking for a cozy room. The lady who was working the front desk that night (who was much nicer) informed us that there were no other rooms. They couldn’t get the heat to work but at least they got the AC off. We asked for a blanket. She eventually came back with a heater that we could have. When she gave us that, she wanted the blanket back. I remarked that we were going to still need it, she said they don’t have many blankets. She then relented & said we could keep the blanket. She worked hard to help us.

The one knock on the hotel was location. The restaurant next door was open and partying w live bands until the early hours of the morning.

Stayed with my family of 5. It was nice to have two full beds and a sofa bed that pulled out to sleep 2. The pullout mattress was stained and needed to be replaced though. The bathroom had a toilet and shower/tub and the quarters were so small that my child who is 60lbs and 4’ tall banged her elbow while trying to use the toilet. The facility needs to be updated but the staff was nice and the place was kept pretty clean. On our second night the hotel was out of towels which is not professional either I wouldn’t stay there again.

When i requested the room, i called ahead to ask if there were rooms with 2 queen beds like we have had at other Springhill locations. I was told that the 2 doubles were really queens, so i booked the room. When i got there, sadly, there really were 2 doubles, and no queens. We dealt with it, but we were not happy anout the misinformation.

My daughters truck was broken into. PlayStation, clothes shoes, ice chest are among the things taken. The hotel staff was not compassionate or helpful at all. We had to call police ourselves. We were on top floors getting our things and saw a truck leaving with our ice chest in the back, video taped it and asked them to look at their cameras and they refused. They said they couldn't look at the camera in fact said the parking space where the truck was the camera didn't reach. It was in front of the hotel so that was questionable.

The recruiting was not very friendly AT ALL. No smile, no welcome, and we had to pull information out of her like a detective. When is breakfast served? Do you have wifi? What is the password? When is check out? You know, all the normal questions that prior have which are normally told to you when you check in. Very poor first impression of the property. Oh, and no cookies at evening check in. The next morning we got to breakfast around 7:45, and all the hot protein items were out (eggs, sausage, etc). The lady writing the address just said "Sorry, were out." So we got yogurt and nuts. Kind of a huge bummer since we picked that hotel partly for the free hot breakfast. Probably won\'t be back.

After my flight was canceled I came across this Hotel. It was very clean and the staff was truly amazing. They made a bad time into a very amazing experience. I would recommend this place 100%

Caution! This place is super shady - we had booked months in advance and when we arrived they had given our room away. They had no other rooms for us and all they could offer was a refund. It was 1am and my family had no where to stay or sleep - super shocking and super disappointing.

The toilet in our room remaines stopped up pur entire stay. The hotel stated they did not uqve maintenance on hand at the time. They offered us a plunger. We stayed 3 nights with this problem and the only response was them offering us a plunger each time the toilet would clog. Terrible.

Shuttle driver took hours to come and lied, water was super cold in several of our groups room, they staff didn’t even care it’s like they knew we were leaving so it’s no big deal. And they took my deposit without tell me it would take 6 weeks to return…

Very friendly staff and eager to accommodate. I really like the feature of receiving a text notification when the room was ready. My room was perfect. It checked off all boxes with the mini kitchenette. I would definitely recommend.

We booked a room for 6 people (two adults; four kids). It claimed to have two double beds and a double sofa sleeper, which is typically what we get at all hotels we stay at. However, this one was actually a twin size pull out bed that came out from under the couch, and it appeared the couch itself was supposed to be the 6th bed. This would have been totally fine, except we were not given any bedding for the couch, so we only had bedding for 5 people. We went down to the front desk to ask for another sheet set, blanket, and pillow so we could make the sofa, and were informed there was no bedding available. I pointed out that we had booked (and paid for) for 6 people and our room had 6 beds, but only bedding for 5 people, and I was told “that’s too bad”. We ended up using the bottom sheet on the pullout bed, the top sheet spread out over the sofa. Luckily one of our kids had brought a blanket in the car. It’s really frustrating that I wasn’t provided the accommodations I paid for, and even more frustrating that the front desk was so rude about it and didn’t even attempt to find a solution. I find it very hard to believe that in an entire hotel they could not come up with a set of bedding for a guest who had paid for it. Because of this total disregard for customer service, we will never stay here again.

The staff absolutely made this property enjoyable. The inside was kept very clean and the services were top notch. On the downside, adjoining properties weren't kept up as nice and even seemed sketchy at times. There is a really good Mexican restaurant next door but it's the only within walking distance. I wouldn't recommend taking walks after dark for the area has some rundown buildings and such and no one would guarantee your safety.

Nice hotel. Beds are very small. We are suppose to have a room with 2 queen beds but I’m sure they were only doubles. There is not much around the hotel to do or eat.

I selected this room because of the price, the proximity to I-45, and especially because the ratings were great. I was a little nervous approaching the hotel because the area around it felt a bit sketchy - we were both concerned and glad to see that there was a dedicated security guard on the property and it looked like security gates that may close at night. But when I walked into the lobby, it felt a lot like the nice SpringHill Suites I've come to appreciate. I caught the front desk employee right as she was about to step away, thankfully, so check in was rather quick. She tried to find a room on an upper floor for us, but the hotel was sold out, so she only had a 1st floor room. I was nervous about that at first, but it ended up being perfect. The room was a suite with 2 double beds and a sofa/twin bed with trundle

Convenient stay right by the airport for an early morning flight. Not the safest area, but given where the airport is, we expected that.

Our stay was Great, excellent service , clean , friendly and most of all conveniently close to major highways!

Pool was in good condition, room looks good but things like no fan in the bathroom mean peeling wallpaper. But, the shower is awesome. Forgot to mention you have to step around between the toilet and the shower to be able to close the door to the bathroom because it is very cozy. Also, the cloth headboard must be colored with dyes because I woke up with colored hands (I attached a pictures after multiple handwashes). There is hot breakfast but we got down within half hour of breakfast starting and a few things were already gone and more didn’t come out for almost an hour. The options for breakfast included fresh fruit, oatmeal with toppings, bagels/breads/mini-muffins, waffles (long line), cereals, yogurts, juices, milks, coffees, teas…and the 3 warm food selections, if you are fortunate to get any…today there was sausage, egg (ran out), and whatever was supposed to be in the third tray—that one ran out and the tray was removed. The desk and bedside tables have outlets with USB ports and the room has a mini kitchen area. The couch had a trundle bed. The guy at the front desk was kind and helpful, but with a bigger family that made a reservation months in advance for a double bed room…getting a single king size bed was not good; he did offer some things to make it up to us, but space for everyone to sleep comfortably would have been better.

Good hotel for a night or two. It was quiet, room was large, good shower. Breakfast was awful... Had to go somewhere else to have it. I would prefer the option "no breakfast".

Convenient location to the Galveston cruise port. 45 min Uber ride there. The free breakfast buffet was worth the stay. Eggs, sausage, waffle maker, fresh fruit etc. Free airport shuttle was convenient. Called front desk when we landed and the shuttle came immediately within 10 mins. On site restaurant Tequila 45 was nice, but over priced for “Mexican” food.

Nice hotel, very clean, great staff and big rooms. We enjoyed our pre-cruise stay. The breakfast was good, and included a variety of juices, milk, coffee, hot selection of eggs and breakfast meat, cereals, oatmeal, waffle station. Many others in the hotel were also going to the same cruise as we did (out of Galveston).
