Comfort Inn & Suites Ocean Shores

The rooms were clean but our tv was broke and the free wifi wouldn't connect. It looked like they had just painted the brick around the pool but it never had time to dry so when the kids were in the pool it got all over them and was super slippery also. the hot tub was green.

Very well kept, clean, older property. Hot tub in desperate need of resurfacing. Staff was very friendly, but only one person working at a time, so service was very slow.

Wi-Fi sucked. In the elevator needs serious attention.

Nice clean room, good pool and fitness room.

Breakfast - no eggs, sausage, gravy or coffee. Pool- hot tub colder than the pool, jets did not work and maintenance room door was left open allowing access to the chemicals and contents.

Key card efficiency lacking. Had to get different ones 3 times and then they would not work for the pool Pool and hot tub in need of paint touch up and perhaps adding some color or decor to pool room.

Easy to check in, room was clean and ready to occupy. Pool and hot tub acceptable, water a bit cold in pool but probably not heated.

We found a bed bug in my bed Sunday 4/9/23 morning, and took it to the front desk. They have yet to refund my money. Can you expedite this process? Thank you, Denise McAllister

There are bedbugs at this hotel! We vacated the property at 3am due to two rooms with bedbugs: room 414 and room 208. I’ve contacted the property to report these findings and have not heard anything back. I plan to report this to the health department.

There was nothing we liked about this stay. The staff was fine. The room was dirty, shower curtain had a hole in it, the beds were not clean, food right at the edge of couch, fan was dusty, little rubberbands on floor, toilet kept running, the vent had stuff splatted all over it. The breakfast had no juices no pepper. Booked for 2 nights but only stayed the 1 day. Not pleased hopfully Expedia will help refund the second night.

I'm very conflicted as im writing this due to the fact that my family has stayed at the Comfort inn for years and have had good experiences. This time NOT SO MUCH and it has seemed to follow us home we checked in and stayed our first night and shortly after Breakfast my son found a bug on his bed he thought it was a wierd looking bug so he trapped it in a bottle after taking some pictures and trying to figure out what kind of bug it was, we weren't sure if it was a bed bug or a tick so my wife asked the front desk and they switched us room's and of course they said it was a up grade but really it was all a big in convinces it was missing the fridge that has the freezer all together and the fridge it did have my wife had to clean it out, the sheets had some glue or something and had to be changed and there was a beer can still left on the floor next to the bed, but you could kinda see the ocean. If there was some other place to stay we would have but after getting home and my daughter telling me she's itchy she shows me her legs that have about 10 to 20 bites so looking at the pictures and doing very little research it was DEFINITELY A FULL GROWN BED BUG meaning the staff all know and thats the reason they were so quick to take the bug in the bottle and throw it away and my son wanted to keep it.I was told they barely looked at it before offering to switch our room and all my wife wanted at that time was out of that room. Now we are very stressed out over the whole experience.

The first room they tried to put us in had a large hairball in the middle of the bed. The second room didn’t have a working toilet, they left us a plunger so we could try to fix it ourselves. We told them this was unacceptable, we were paying good money for a room and that room should include a working bathroom. The front desk staff just smirked and said there was nothing she could do until several hours later. We called Comfort Inn customer service and they also said there was nothing they could do. Thankfully Expedia got us a refund and found a room at a much better place just down the road, they had clean rooms and working toilets. Go to the Gray Gull. It’s just down the road. Better accommodations, better customer service, better bang for your buck.

Awful, run down and filthy.

This hotel was incredibly clean and well maintained. Scott, the front desk clerk was friendly and obviously cared about the hotel and team. I travel weekly for work and stay in high end hotels but this moderately priced stay was my favorite of 2024.

It was just ok Everything was worn down and old. Not very clean. Wasn't worth the price for the quality of amenities and cleanliness.

It is a modern property with a balcony and ocean view.

Overall, great. Some hiccup; mattress wore out, the balcony did not have ocean view.

Stayed for a 1 night stopover & the accommodation was suitable for our requirements. A couple of restaurants in walking distance. The beach is some distance away, accessed by walking through a single, narrow track with tall vegetation, then over sand dunes. The breakfast room is very small and insufficient for the number of guests. Check in was friendly & efficient.

The rooms were big but there were drawbacks. Pillows need to be changed, they were very hard and uncomfortable. Unfortunately there was a lot of family noise around us, too bad there was a lack of insulation used. Ocean Shores was lacking a lot, not the same so many years ago.

Unfortunately, we were given (I believe) the worst room on the property ... overlooking the roof. The bed has seen way better days. Both my wife and I got about 2 hours of sleep apiece. Bathroom was a nightmare to maneuver around. Breakfast was good, but no milk was made available for cereal or drinking. Staff said the milk they had was frozen and couldn't be used. At checkout we were asked about our stay. We spoke of our concerns and what we had experienced, and all we received was a "thank you for sharing that with us" ... end of story. Not even a "so sorry about that." Even though it was the price point that drew us in to stay with Comfort Inn and Suites in Ocean Shores, Washington,, I'm very doubtful we'll ever stay here at this property again.

My stay was good, excellent lighting, good temperature in the room, and the internet was poor.

Room was spacious and we liked the fact that we had refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Overall the room was comfortable, and the staff friendly. The only negatives were the hallways smelled a little musty and the noise from neighboring rooms could be heard. Not to mention I could hear what sounded like an off balance washer overpowering the volume of the television in the next room over.

The quality of the room and it’s cleanliness was subpar. My bedsheets had stains on them and my room door didn’t lock. I was able to push the door open without using my key card. For as much I spent for three nights it just wasn’t worth the cost. Customer service was fine, though I didn’t deal with anyone very much. Water pressure in the bathroom was low, which was frustrating.

Stayed for 2 nights, Had a room with a balcony which was great. Breakfast was just ok. Could have used a bit more variety instead of the exact same thing every day. The 2nd day the biscuits were hard and the sausage needed to be cooked a little longer. Would have liked some yogurt and more fruit. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the sheets worn out - they kept coming off as the elastic was worn out. Room was clean and nice sized. I would stay here again as the location was good and the price was reasonalble

Property is old elevator grinds and squeaks. Breakfast is ok. Front desk when we arrived early was rude and unpleasant Did not offer any other room that was available at the time even though I told her I was just recovering from an illness. I have a cat that is certified as an emotional support animal and was told that could not bring her in. So my cat spent the night in the car

The hotel is just about finished with an update. Pool area nice and great long hours- it is also heated! Good continental breakfast. Staff are all nice and helpful! Great add ons for welcome baskets. Perfect location in town. Only rooms with a view are the upper 2 floors. Balcony rooms can barely see the surf.

No ocean view and you can't walk to the beach. There is a path that says 'beach access' but its so over grown its a small tunnel you don't fit in it. When you do exit the path you are on a paved road to walk another 20 mins to the beach.

Kevin was a friendly face and offered a great welcome to us upon check-in. Across the street there is a Lion's Club Playground that offered a nice way to easily get outside with the kids. The street the hotel is on does not have a sidewalk, so that was the downside of the location. You are close enough to hear the ocean (not see it even if you have a balcony room). We enjoyed the pool/hot tub amenities and our room was clean and comfy. A great experience for a good price!

It was a very convenient location and not far from everything! It was also a clean and reasonable priced place to stay and the staff was friendly and helpful.

No beach access

The dining area for the breakfast in the morning is pretty small. It was packed when my family and I went down.

Check in lady was great. Breakfast hot choices galore made it one of the best I’ve sampled.

We'll probably try somewhere else next time. The hotel and facilities were underwhelming, but serviceable. (May 2025) Staff was solid- so we'll start there. The gentleman working the evening was nice at check-in and hustled us up a towel replacement when we returned on night two- so I'd say the staff definitely aided the experience and might be the lone, purely positive part of this review. The room was sufficient, but the mattresses looked ancient-old (voting/drinking age?!?) and were springy and uncomfortable. Finishes were worn and tired and the patio door didn't latch (Safety with kids and security issue! TBF- There was an un-labeled child-safety lock "thing" on the door that seemed ready to come apart and might not be clear to most parents.). We got the level 2-side and, we were too low to actually have a view of anything worth seeing... Not gaining any points for the review! (To be fair, I probably picked the option with a few more SF, not realizing I was sacrificing location/view-potential.) Level 3 /4 might have been better view-wise, but that wasn't our experience! The pool area was well-worn, finishes were failing, and the room echoes loudly. Of course, none of that matters to my happy-to-be-swimming kids. The pool water was nice and warm and the Jacuzzi was legit hot. The same employee popped up re-filling towels (again), after a request from other guests. +1 for the staff again. Breakfast was... food(ish). Stale pastries. Empty coffee. Stick to the waffles.

The people working there were nice. The place was clean. Their breakfast was good too with sausage and eggs, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. The volume was a bit low on the tv.

We came for a festival and had a wonderful time! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is inedible -- I am vegan/vegetarian and there is literally nothing for me to eat beyond toast -- if I had too I could have had a waffle or powdered eggs. i would stay again. The hottub was always full of kids so we never used it -- also the restaurants in the area have improved immensely and there is a wonderful fresh pasta restaurant less than a mile away.

The free breakfast was the worst I have ever had, sausage was almost uneatable, eggs were not much better.

A nice breakfast was provided , rooms were clean, staff were friendly and efficient.Wish the fridge had a freezer though.

The property has a five star location in a four star to three star neighborhood. The building is in need of an upgrade, and the breakfasts were subpar for comfort Inn.
