Stayed 2 nights

Two weeks ago when we stayed there at the start of our vacation, we got breakfast as promised in their ads. When we returned and checked in, the clerk unapologetically said “I don’t think we have breakfast right now, but maybe tomorrow.” The next morning, a different clerk confirmed “No Breakfast” without adding “sorry.” When I said we paid for 2 nights with breakfast and should get some type of refund, she replied “No you don’t because the breakfast is complimentary and you didn’t pay for it.” I find that logic lacking and she made no attempt to make us feel better in any way. This morning, the breakfast are was open, but sparsely stocked with no yogurt and only 1 type of dry cereal in the 3 available dispensers and no hot offerings. This was after we spent the prior 3 nights at a similarly priced motel at the entrance to the N. Cascades. There, breakfast was plentiful and included multiple hot dishes & the cook made us eggs to order because we don’t eat bacon. She, the desk clerks and every staff member we encountered seemed to wear perpetual smiles and showed interest in satisfying our needs- definitely not the case here. Here we noticed obvious signs-soiled and wrinkled carpeting, chips out of cabinets etc that maintenance is not a priority & got no room service yesterday. The location was very convenient to the airport, but this facility needs a major upgrade in management, employee training and customer service. Nobody had the authority or inclination to problem solve.

- Staff was unfriendly. Perhaps they are new and need training, especially night staff. - The night black female employee turned off the lounge light area (next to registration) at 10 pm two days in a row while we were sitting and having a conversation with our guests. She said that it was the hotel policy which I found out next day to be untrue. I was told by someone that worked at the hotel that she sleeps in the lounge area night time. - Evening staff doesn’t answer hotel phone. We wanted a ride back from local area but no answer. - No breakfast available in the morning. Staff told us daily that hotel is out of breakfast items. - No coffee cups at times and coffee level low constantly. - Tears in 3 floor lobby carpet which is a potential risk. - Room fixtures loose (towel and shower curtain hooks) in our one bedroom. - No dish washing soap, no water pitcher, one dishwashing soap). - Bedroom curtain didn’t close completely. - Hotel is dated, lacked in staff training, management has neglected repair & maintenance. We stayed there multiple times for the past several years even extended stays. This was our worst experience as we were there to celebrate special occasion.

We’ve never stayed here before and won’t again. Our TV didn’t work with cable, and there was no one available to help us. Then “breakfast was on its way”.7-10. 830 rolls around “breakfast still on its way” By the time we left @ 10am breakfast never arrived. Employees weren’t apologetic at all or upset. So we suspect this is normal(no breakfast) even tho advertised. I work at the local airport and always recommend places, not this one. Also left a google review and so did others.

Stayed 1 night

The stay was just okay. Definitely could have been better. It took almost 45 minutes to get checked in. Even though I had a reservation, they still had to find me a room. I had to wait while other guests that showed up after me got keys and rooms right away. The room was decent. About what we expected. Clean and comfortable. We did request an iron, but got a “we’ll look for one” response and nothing ever showed up. Not even a follow up to say they couldn’t find one. I also requested another blanket and pillow, but was told they only had extra sheets sets. The breakfast was good. Pretty standard continental options. Although one 2 slot toaster for 15 people trying to warm up bagels was a bit annoying. Like I said just a okay stay. Won’t be a fist choice next time we’re in the area though.
