Super 8 by Wyndham Spokane Valley

Elevator broken. Confusing to get to because there is another motel next door right by the Super 8 sign. You have to share the pool with another hotel. Run down. Heater blew cold air for an hour before it started blowing warm air. Never blew hot air. Stayed at many Super 8 hotels this one is the worse. Especially when the hotel next door looks nicer and has the same price. Not impressed. Going to stay again I will stay at the Silver Stone next door.

Second stay here. Not new but great for the money. Ample long parking at the rear for longer vehicle and trailer. Pool available next door. We were just driving thru so all we needed. Would stay again.

Hotel is dated and you share a pool in the hotel next door

You certainly get what you pay for. Bathtub coating worn through in many places. Disappointing breakfast (toaster waffles, sweet pre-packaged pastries, stale instant oats (no hot water), sugar heavy breakfast cookies and bars plus mediocre coffee and juice Also disappointed that the promised swimming pool and hot tub were across the parking lot in a different motel (and hot tub not working)

Lots of parking for large vehicles. Very close to I-90 for convenient interstate travel.

Needs a facelift. Pool and hot tub located in another building that room keys dont work for. Staff was friendly but didnt go out of their way to tell you about pool, breakfast etc. Probably won't stay again.

Gym facilities completely dangeous (rusted with mold and broken molding). Breakfast was the most disappointing selection Ive ever seen. Supposedly dog friendly but do not allow you to leave dog in room alone for any time at all (even in crate). Room smelled like musty smoke. Bed was one of the worst mattresses Ive seen. Fridge was barely functional.

It is advertised as having a pool both online and by the giant sign you can see from the interstate. In reality the pool is at the hotel next door and you have to walk outside and across the parking lot if you want to utilize it. Other then that the hotel was fine. The staff at check in was great although it did take longer then expected to check in.

There is not a pool in the building. Its at the hotel next door and your keycard doesnt let you in. There is not a laundry room in building. Its at the hotel next door and your keyvard does not let you in. The breakafast id instant oatmeal. Nothing fresh. It does not say continental breakfast so I was expecting acttual food!!!!! The beds were like concrete. I stayed for 2 nights and had 2 rooms and niether of us wete asked if we needed towels, garbage removal or anything. I would denot stay here again or recommend this placr to anyone.

The only problem was that the pool and hot tub are not in the hotel it was in another motel and it was full of children. being seniors we decided it wasn't advertised correctly.

They need to vacuum their rooms. My feet were completely black after walking barefoot in my room.

Reception was not ready even though we preregistered. Room was barely furnished. Woke up with bed bug bites. We changed rooms which was good. Tried to contact manager. She was not there. Gave me her card. I phoned two days later and she was away from her desk. I was told she would phone me. When she returned. No phone call. Her name Katie Kuznetsova. At the very least I feel we should get a refund. John Mackenzie

Hotel was pretty gross all around. Lamp shades and ceilings had food on them, floors were gross. No fan in the bathroom. Found ants in our room and nobody offered any help.

The carpets throughout the hotel needs replaced. The carpet in the room was gross to walk on barefoot and there were toenails on the floor by the bed. The bathroom tub had a huge parch on the inside and thepain had peeled off the inside shower wall.. The odor smelled like mold and dirty carpet. The staff were great and should not have to work under these conditions.

Our first room smelt horrible of black mold. Our second room wasn’t moldy but very ghetto area and the pool and breakfast that were advised were NOT even in the same hotel. You had to leave and go to the hotel next door to use the pool. The breakfast was juice and pastries. Nothing hot. Do not recommend.

MOLD growing in the air conditioning unit. Absolutely disgusting. Everything was very sub par in quality and hazardous to health with the lack of cleanliness. Walls are so thin and windows aren't sealed as well as they should be so all the sounds are heard(neighboring rooms, people going in and out)

The room smelled like mold

The room was DISGUSTING. We couldnt walk on the carpets because they were blackening our feet and they felt slimey, so we had to use shoes until we got into bed at night. The corners had hair and tiny pieces of stuff stacked up in them. We found rx bottle lid beside the bed. It stunk so.bad, we had to go get stuff to disinfect and get rid of the smell. We had our two mini doodles with us so obviously had a dog room, but they didnt even clean the old dogs hair out (ours are hypoallergenic). There was dog hair all over the kids bed (we got the family room with the bunk). The bunk bed was literally duct taped together and pieces of wood holding it up and together. The kids sheet were not washed. Bathroom floor was slimey and SO gross feeling. The mattresses on the bunks were nothing but a couple inch mattress topper. . . .we had to go buy an air mattress to put on top of it. I can keep going. . . .. . .

I just found Bed in my home, after much consideration, this holtel is where they had to have come from. I looked it up and people have reported bed bugs here. Ive never encountered bed bugs before and it was not something i ever thought about. Now im entrenched in a civil war for my own home against these vile, disgusting parasites. I havent slept in a week and a half. DONT STAY HERE! and if you do, or any hotel for that mstter. Check for bed bugs. I wish i would have. And will from now on

Our stay was terrible we checked in at 3:30pm and left the same day at 6pm. Our room was dirty and stink very bad and when I told the office I left early and wanted a refund I never got no response.

The place was noisy with kids until about 11:30 PM running up and down the halls. The room had a microwave and a fridge and a coffee maker. The water pressure was good and there was ample hot water. The mattress was so old and saggy that I could feel the springs. Made for a unrestful sleep. Breakfast was available, very continental. Packaged cereal and tiny muffins. Fruit juices and coffee.

The hotel room was a family room with a bunker and queen bed. This was okay. There was no bathroom fan, the breakfast comprised of food in packages, and the swimming pool was in a separate hotel. The room is okay for an emergency stop, but this is not a destination hotel. I was expecting a certain good quality from other Super 8’s my family has stayed in, but this one fell far below that standard.

Reception wasn’t the best, they acted like we were bothering them during check-in, but we were able to check in a half hour early so that was nice. The room was ok, pretty outdated. The walls are so thin we could hear someone next door snoring. The doors were slamming all night long and waking us up. If you need a good nights rest, I would not recommend this place.

Property is very dated. Pillows and bedding were very rough condition. The “family” room with bunk beds were a joke. Cheap squeaky metal bunks. There are far better options in the area.

Older hotel so quite noisy. Could hear the snoring in the next room. Dogs barking in the hall and in their rooms. Bathtub had been reglazed a few times and was wearing through. Complimentary breakfast very disappointing

Power went off in the night, couldn't find my phone, so I was desperately trying to find my way. I had purposely left the bathroom light on so I would know where it was. Ideally they would have a back up generator for at least some dim floor level lighting so guests weren't bumping into the wall in the disorientation of the power outage. The bathroom was rather sad, grout missing, repaired wall wasn't textured and was soggy and soft. Just looked kind of gross in every direction. Not worth the money, in my estimation. We won't return to this property.

The bathroom is too small...

The walls are paper thin, could hear neighbors tv and conversation until just after 11pm. They weren’t really loud, just thin walls. You could hear everyone in the hallway.

The room was clean and equipped. The mattress was not good at all. The springs where broke down with low spots in the mattress. Should have been replaced long ago. The shower head needed a lot of attention. Replaced or taken off and decalcified long ago. Water going in every direction. The fact that I could have saved 50 dollars on the price of the room, if I had reserved it a week earlier, is very upsetting. Just because of the Hoop Fest, you feel you can over charge for your rooms, is not only offensive but greedy.

The bath tub is in need of replacement. The beds were too soft.

Because the unusual pet policy which was NOT provided before booking, my whole holiday trip was ruined. Nowhere on the hotel's site nor on the posting on Expedia did the hotel disclose that pets could not be left unattended in the hotel room which meant I could not leave the hotel during my whole stay. I was unable join my family for Thanksgiving or do any other of my holiday plans over the 5 days as it was too cold to leave my pet in the car and I could not take him with me. The hotel was very inappropriate and rude in dealing with my concern and flat out did not care that I spent a significant amount of money on this trip all of which was wasted. They would not refund me my money so I could go elsewhere so I was stuck in a very uncomfortable hotelroom for my whole stay. The area was significantly run down and the hotel was dirty. They threatened to make me leave and charge me an additional $250 if I left my pet unattended. I could not even leave to go eat. I had to do curb-side pickup for Thanksgiving dinner. This was the worst management of a hotel I have ever come across. If you are going to require people stay with their pets the entire time and ruin their holiday then at least have the courtesy to inform them before they arrive so they can be aware of the requirements. I will never stay with a Super 8 ever again. I thought it was a reasonable price but by the time they added the daily pet fee of $15 each day I spent what I would have spent at The Ramada. NeverAgain

Check in was painfully long. We were so tired and just wanted to go to bed. It was the worst check in experience that I have dealt with. It is a very outdated hotel and you can hear every noise in the building. We were across from the elevator and the ding was extremely loud. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I paid for the hotel through Travelocity. When I got there, they didn't have a room available.

Double charged me, check in was terrible, refund took forever took over an hour to check in and then had to deal with getting the refund at check out.

Convenient Property, safer than most areas of Spokane. Extremely Rude Night shift Staff. Super nice morning shift Staff. Key cards would never stay charged, so upon return each time at night, to be able to get into the room, we’d have to go to the front desk for help, and they were never friendly to accommodate us being able to get back into our rooms. On the last night of being blamed for the first of 3 days, they finally admitted it was their system. Super aggravating.

Ideal location and great staff.

The key cards didn't always work. I had to go to the front desk 5 times to get the cards to work.

The staff, Sunny and Heather, were so friendly and efficient. The plants in the lobby really added to the ambiance as did the lovely landscaping around the parking lot. Pool area looked so welcoming tho didn’t have time to use it. Our room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was better than most complimentary ones. The hotel is located in a safe convenient location.

Easy to access location in Spokane Valley

Just off I90. Close to the event we were involved with. Close to Dennys restaurant.

For the unbeatable price, this Super 8 was fantastic. Super friendly front desk staff. Cozy and comfortable lodgings. Fireplace in lobby adds a warm touch. Just off the interstate and close to many shopping spots, including a Denny's next door. I felt safe, with parking lot well lit.

It's Spokane.... There is a Denny's in the parking lot, and less homeless people compared to other locations in the city.

Comfy, nice king bed. Lots of dining options right there. Very convenient. Would stay again.

Easy on-off to I-90. Friendly and helpful staff. Good parking.

It was right off the freeway.

Check in clerk was nice. Hotel seems rundown, in a sketchy area, terrible parking, things felt dirty, shower/tub in terrible condition. Will not stay again.

Dirty, no proper breakfast.

While the property and staff were fantastic, the continental breakfast was less than appetizing, prepackaged, and unappealing. We had to purchase breakfast each day due to these reasons. The while the hotel itself was good, the continental breakfast was one of the contributing reasons we chose the this hotel, and why we will not stay there again.

The beds were very comfortable. The lamp in the room was broken and the TV was very small. The pool is across the road and the hot tub was broken. The staff was very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was the cheapest and worst I have ever seen at a hotel.

Room was adequate & clean. Location is not great, traffic noise from freeway can be heard. We usually book places with a breakfast included and this one was easily the WORST we have ever seen. Literally 4 oranges in a basket and some instant oatmeal. Toaster but no bread, no napkins or cups/lids for coffee. Absolutely awful and unacceptable.

Pretty basic. Some things not so good. Super 8’s seem to be quite variable. This one was in a nicer neighborhood than some. The facility itself was rather dated. Not super clean (room was ok, but scraps of trash in the halls and on the elevator). Breakfast was really lame. Nothing hot except coffee. Only cereal was oatmeal, and there was no milk. Bread to toast but no peanut butter. I did not see jelly.

booked online and the rooms were nothing at all like the photos. King size room was small, hardly enough room to squeeze between the bed and the wall. Bathroom was tiny, I barely had enough room to close the door. Bathroom fan didn't work. Tub was dirty. It said breakfast was provided but when we went down to eat it was just granola bar, orange, banana and instant oatmeal.

Everything was super, breakfast though extremely limited.

Staff was prompt and courteous, room was clean except for some garbage that we found in the corner when we moved the chair. Biggest issue was the breakfast. Not much for selection and there was no real hot food ( eggs, bacon, stuff like that you usually find at a continental breakfast) except for toaster waffles and frozen apple pie things you could microwave. Besides that it was a muffin, juice, and coffee. So unfortunately with having children with us we still had to take them somewhere to get breakfast every morning.

The facilities and the room were dirty. The staff are doing their best with the equipment and supplies to keep the facilities as clean as they can. The breakfast was shocking, they have a toaster but no bread or bread products. There were only packaged pastry and eggs/egg products which have to be microwaved. There was NO milk for the oatmeal as there were no other choices for cereal. That was a total disgrace as compared to other Super 8 facilities. The only good point was that Denny’s was across the parking lot.

Staff were very pleasant. Only thing that was disappointing was their breakfast.. not much options, not even a simple cereal
