All staff were wonderful! Melvin, Collin, Darrin, Tina, Kimi and all the restaurant staff were exceptional. Food was fabulous, grounds impeccable, pools clean! Everything was a 10 out of 10! We will be back!

Wonderful location, great room. We had a Vuz room on the ground floor right by the infinity pool! Awesome views! Staff were lovely. I was very impressed and will definitely return!

This small resort along the Negril cliffs has three pools as well as over 10 ladders down to the sea and many locations to dive from the cliffs. If you don’t like diving from the cliffs Samsara guests can use the sister resort Legends at the fantastic Negril beach. Beaches are public in Jamaica so the cliffs offered a quiet option that we enjoyed. There are 3 different grades of rooms beginning with bungalows in the woods which offer lots of shaded areas and walkways to very modern rooms which face the ocean. 59 of the 70 or so rooms face the ocean. There are a lot of dining options in the area many of which are a short walk. The all inclusive option has lots of drink selection however the only beer is Red Stripe draft. The meals are well prepared particularly breakfast and dinner. Dinner offers Jamaican dishes with the choice of fish, chicken and pork or beef. The coffee is excellent! What sets this place apart from the many resorts we’ve stayed at was the staff, we can’t say enough great things about the people that work here; it doesn’t matter what their role is my wife and I were always greeted with a smile and genuine hospitality. They gave great information on local activities and places to go.

The pools are lovely. The infinity pool is stunning. The location is stunning-looking over the cliffs is incredible. What made this hotel is the staff-from the cleaning staff to the serving staff, they were awesome. Super friendly, efficient and pleasant.

The parking was an issue. I had a late night. No space was available. There was a motorbike in a parking spot which was the only spot. When I said it to the security he responding that I can moved it. When I asked him if I was expected to move the motorbike, he came and removed it and gave us the parking. Food was good. Room was clean.

The property needs updating. The cold water faucet is broken. There are no outlets in the bathroom. You only get two bath towels. There is no entertainment. Parking is inconvenient and dangerous. The lot is across a busy street. The staff is wonderful. They are professional and courteous.

Low key. Not much to do but relax! Jumping from the cliffs was cool. Good wifi. The only real downer was a barking dog in the mornings! Not for spring breakers looking to party only.

No parking on the property, however I think you can park across the street, the section I stayed in was the newer section that has a Panaramic view of the Caribbean sea it also over looks the Infinity pool east access to restaurant and bar, FYI this building have 3 floors no elevator, I would recommend the hotel, Also for tours, taxi service and excursion ask for Ryan very experience and curtious tour guide!

It may not have as many bells and whistles as some other resorts , but what it does offer is a comfortable family like setting where you get to know the employees and they get to know you and seen genuinely nice. So there may be a little things that could’ve been updated in my room… It was comfortable and clean and provided a great view. Little things like shampoo or conditioner or body wash would’ve been nice to have in the room and a hairdryer… But they did provide one… No USB port so make sure you bring a plug/usb port Honestly, though… None of that mattered because the people were so great the breakfast buffet… The pools… I enjoy, jumping off the cliffs… The resident cat, Ginger, is such a sweetie pie. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat…

The property is beautiful, and the cliffs and swimming/snorkeling are great. It's a good option for families, with other services nearby. The shuttle to and from 7 Mile Beach was much appreciated. Helpful staff!

No frills property. Friendly staff but facilities are in need of updating. Chairs and cushions need replacing. The room was not clean when I arrived (hair in the drain) and when I brought this to their attention, someone came and removed the hair from the drain but that's about it. The toilet did not flush properly all week despite maintenance coming on the first day to fix it. Fixtures are dated and the doors scrape on the ground and require effort to shut properly. Several cockroaches in the room over the course of the week. Hotel does not provide beach towels so come prepared. Shuttle to Legends was a nice feature. The beach furniture at Legends is in used similar "well used" condition.

Property needs some major renovations. It smelled really moldy. They old linen and curtains smelled too. Property was flooding at the time of my stay and no one offered to move us to a different room or update us on the situation. The power went out as well and we were left to fend for ourselves.

The exterior of the property is beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The rooms are clean and well maintained. While an update to the linens and furnishings would enhance the experience, overall it’s a pleasant stay — especially considering the price.

Samsara is a hidden gem in Westside Negril on the cliffs. Great location, great people, and safe. The room has the best view of the ocean, is clean, and modern. Will goback in a heartbeat.

Towels and face towels not available had to ask multiple times did not change out when asked. I WOULD OF BROUGHT MY OWN TOWELS. THEY ACTED LIKE IT WAS WAS SACRED. Asked to change bedding. It was not done had to go back and ask again to have shests changed, because they were dirty. BED BUGS!!!!!! AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS MOSQUITOS, IT DEFINITELY WAS NOT! IT WAS BED BUG BITES. Paid for all inclusive. It was a joke. Minimal drink options that were weak & one beer option. Food.... TERRIBLE!!! Only thing worth eating was the breakfast...cant go wrong with eggs. Hey but in the long run beautiful view from property. It was amazing.

Staff was super friendly. However, limited towels. We definitely didnt get towels everyday. Shower water was cold the entire stay and the water in the shower took a long time to drain so it would rise as you took your shower.

The room did not look like the pictures. Had a funny smell and the bathroom was not clean. But for the short stay, it was okay. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant and bar keepers were amazing.

I was glad I made the reservation for the newer part of the hotel. I found out that the bungalows were across the street from the main hotel. I was also in the newer side of the main hotel and my room was on the main floor which had a pool right outside my patio. However, upon check in, my room only had bath towels. Upon request, I received a face towel only. Also, not sure why the mandatory credit card deposit did not refund the full amount back. Overall, return to the Samsara and I would stay in the same rooms or building.

Staff was friendly. Environment quiet. I had 1 meal upon arrival wasn't all that. However, I ate at restaurants around.Property could use a few upgrades on amenities. Room service never came after asking for towels more than 3 times. All in all average.

Had a garden side room at first but decided to upgrade because the AC was trash in the room I had & I’m glad I did because the ocean side is definitely better. The staff were awesome, friendly, and very accommodating. Loved them all. The food could be better though.

The property is located on the cliffs which are great for snorkeling and the pools were nice. We are at the resort a few times and found the food was good. Room we stayed in was relatively new but the bathroom lighting was poor, anyone overweight would have a difficult time with the toilet situation. Towels were sometimes a problem. Barking dogs was a major issue. Enjoyed the people and likely would stay there again.

The oceanfront view was great. It was clean and quiet and staff was friendly. The only negatives were the beds are old and not comfortable and the food was overcooked with lo g wait times.

Samsara was an absolutely lovely hotel, the staff, the grounds, the atmosphere were 10/10. I was given a free upgrade when I arrived to the ocean side view which I was very appreciative for as I was planning too, but I feel this room let's the hotel down it is very small and basic and quite dark (2 main things I didn’t like was there was 1 plug outlet across from the bed which was a nuisance, the other issue was how dark the room was even with light on -provided these are my personal minuscule annoyances) I then upgraded again to the deluxe side of the property and my gosh the complete difference is outstanding the property is very bright well lit with glass panel door allowing for natural lighting aswell and the most incredible view of the ocean if youre lucky dolphins swim passed aswell, also a few more plug outlets the main being at the side of the beds and a very spacious room. The grounds of the hotel are kept clean and presentable at all times which is lovely to see. EVERY SINGLE staff member is hospitable and very very accommodating no ask is too big or too small they genuinely are happy to accommodate and you can tell they enjoy their time there. The hotel wasn’t full (which I loved) so maybe this counts as to why but would have loved a few more activities/games with the staff. The shuttle to the sister hotel Legends is very handy also. All in all my time here at samsara was amazing and I for sure for sure will stay here again every single time I come to Jamaica. 9/10

I was given a free upgrade when I arrived to the ocean side view which I was very appreciative for as I was planning too, but I feel this room let's the hotel down it is very small and basic and quite dark (2 main things I didn’t like was there was 1 plug outlet across from the bed which was a nuisance, the other issue was how dark the room was even with light on -provided these are my personal minuscule annoyances) I then upgraded again to the deluxe side of the property and my gosh the complete difference is outstanding the property is very bright well lit with glass panel door allowing for natural lighting aswell and the most incredible view of the ocean if youre lucky dolphins swim passed aswell, also a few more plug outlets the main being at the side of the beds and a very spacious room. The grounds of the hotel are kept clean and presentable at all times which is lovely to see. EVERY SINGLE staff member is hospitable and very very accommodating no ask is too big or too small they genuinely are happy to accommodate and you can tell they enjoy their time there. The hotel wasn’t full (which I loved) so maybe this counts as to why but would have loved a few more activities/games with the staff. The shuttle to the sister hotel Legends is very handy also. All in all my time here at samsara was amazing and I for sure for sure will stay here again every single time I come to Jamaica. 9/10

Do not book the bungalows! Ask to be placed in the newer building. Was told the bungalow I booked was unavailable and we were taken to “newer” rooms which was not true. Room was old and covered in mold. After walking around resort saw the actual new rooms and had staff move us. The actual new rooms were beautiful and clean. Staff was amazing all over.

No Frills, but VERY clean and absolutely the best place to stay in Negril! It’s quiet, there are resident cats, lots of privacy, trees growing bananas & coconuts in the courtyard and we were able to take the free shuttle to the sister resort to spend time on the beach. We preferred to stay right in the Samsara mostly during our stay though and we hired private taxis to go to other places like the blue hole, YS Falls and Dunns River. Towels and basic bedding is supplied at the samsara, but you need to bring your own shampoo:). The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff is very kind. Don’t forget to tip well!!

Staff as amazing at the resort Samsara Cliff Resort. My family and I had 7 amazing days. The resort is perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from busy life. The cliff jumping is a scary at first but unique and thrilling experience. They have 3 great pools however the middle one was our favorite. The drinks are good and the food AMAZING. It was all authentic Jamaican food for breakfast,lunch and dinner. Georgia the chef is very sweet, don’t be intimidated to say hello to her. She was very attentive to us and greeted us with smiles. I appreciate the staff remembering our name. Georgia cooking was delicious, the chicken, fries, salads, fried dumplings, the scramble eggs, jerk chicken, and oxtail all delicious. Inalee the waitress came by with the best coffee and warm milk and was taking our plates and filling up our waters. Super sweet young lady with a beautiful smile. She is soft spoken and very professional and respectful. Never got the cleaning ladies names however they cleaned our rooms every day and gave us fresh towels. I don’t want to forget to mention Tina. She is such a ray of sunshine. She made great drinks and was very quick to suggest something if you asked. She was lovely to us every time we asked for a drink and made conversation sharing about herself and the Jamaican culture. She answered all our questions and told us about the TEMU store :) I appreciate all the staff from the gardener who greeted us with a good morning to the watchman/security.

I loved the property and rooms overall…..beautiful! The staff and customers service at the bar was horrible. I went twice and the second day the bartender was so rude and unprofessional I did not return to the bar or restaurant the remainder of my stay. All of the other staff was friendly and great but that one ruined it for me. I would not return or recommend based on that alone.

The staff was amazing. The views are incredible. The sister hotel, Legends, is on 7Mile Beach, so between the Cliffs at Samsara and the Sparkling clean waters at Legends, they have it all. Definitely choose the All Inclusive option which is 3 meals a day and tons of free drinks - including Pina Coladas and more. Free transportation to Legends. Cheap cabs all over. We braved the roads and walked to Rockhouse, Rick's, Ivan's and nearby local restaurants. Do NOT rent a car unless you know what you're doing!

Property is beautiful. The sunset view from the cliffs is breath taking. We stayed in the garden bungalow for a week and absolutely fell in love with Samsara. The staff is what made this trip 6 stars! 100/10 for the staff. Our taxi ride with Junior started the trip off right. Was a long transfer but he was our personal guide and taught us so much of the country and culture. From start to finish we were treated like family. I might spell a couple names wrong but huge THANK YOU to Marcia, Kimica, Georgia, Rasta, George, Andrew, Jason, and Peter. And so many more I can’t remember all the names. We loved the food, staff, and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

Very Disappointing. Do not take the "pay at the property option, pay for your stay ahead of time on Expedia/Hotels.com. Check in was very frustrating it took almost an hour and our price was increased (our 2 night stay was supposed to $584CAD it ended up being $772CAD). We finally got to our rooms which were very nice. We then went to the restaurant to eat but were told the kitchen was closed so our only option was the buffet which now only had soup, salad & rice left, but we still had to pay full price. There is only 1 restaurant not 2 and it was an inferno. They do not serve food on the deck/patio like the pictures show which was the main reason I booked this hotel. Being my wife's first time in Jamaica we were looking forward to having dinner on the terrace and watching the sunset. The property itself was nice and moderately well maintained, but the over all experience was very disappointing.

However they downgraded us from a bungalow with a King bed and porch with a hammock, to a small room with a double bed and a twin, no hammock and a courtyard view. When I asked for the too. I booked and paid for they insisted it was an upgrade because of the Ocean View, it was not an ocean view or an upgrade. My friends who checked in after I did received their bungalow. The front desk finally agreed to give me the room I booked and paid for the next day because the housekeeping staff were gone. Next day comes and they said they over booked and I wouldn’t receive my bungalow until my last night. Again insisting my smaller room with smaller beds and courtyard view was an upgrade, as if I didn’t see the much nicer bungalows. No discount was offered. It would be a five star rating had I received the bungalow I booked and paid for.

Old outdated, back packer style resort. I read they did a 3m dollar renovation. I don't think so needs to be painted and towels where old dingy and some torn. No face cloth despite my asking. Had to get floor towels from front desk 3 out of 7 night stay. Food was good view was amazing front desk, and kitchen staff very nice. Housekeeping not so good. Crossing street to get to parking lot very very dangerous. High probability you will get hit by a car if parking attendees where not present 24hrs a day. Would I return no.

This small resort along the Negril cliffs has three pools as well as over 10 ladders down to the sea and many locations to dive from the cliffs. If you don’t like diving from the cliffs Samsara guests can use the sister resort Legends at the fantastic Negril beach. Beaches are public in Jamaica so the cliffs offered a quiet option that we enjoyed. There are 3 different grades of rooms beginning with bungalows in the woods which offer lots of shaded areas and walkways to very modern rooms which face the ocean. 59 of the 70 or so rooms face the ocean. There are a lot of dining options in the area many of which are a short walk. The all inclusive option has lots of drink selection however the only beer is Red Stripe draft. The meals are well prepared particularly breakfast and dinner. Dinner offers Jamaican dishes with the choice of fish, chicken and pork or beef. The coffee is excellent! What sets this place apart from the many resorts we’ve stayed at was the staff, we can’t say enough great things about the people that work here; it doesn’t matter what their role is my wife and I were always greeted with a smile and genuine hospitality. They gave great information on local activities and places to go.

this was my second time staying at this resort and my first time as a solo traveler and I LOVED it! i will stay again. there is food walking distance if you want to eat off the resort. there is always a cab available. close to town and ricks cafe. the view from the cliff is breathtaking

I chose this property because I wanted peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay and it definitely delivered on that! The grounds were tranquil and the staff respected our space, which we appreciated. After arriving from the airport, the kitchen even allowed us to have a quick snack before dinner, which was a nice touch. We loved keeping our Stanley cups filled the whole trip, and we used the free shuttle to Legends for beach time, which was really enjoyable. However, we did find the cost of taxi rides pretty steep most places charged at least $100 USD one way, which made exploring a bit pricey. Next time, I’ll likely choose a resort closer to the attractions with more on-site amenities. We anticipated seeing the live band on thursday but there was no band. We were told it changed to Friday. The all-inclusive option was okay, though drink choices were limited to juice and water unless you purchased from the menu. Also, a tip: if you take food back to your room, be sure to eat and discard the trash quicklyants can become an issue. All in all, a peaceful stay that served its purpose, but a few lessons learned for next time!

No parking on the property, however I think you can park across the street, the section I stayed in was the newer section that has a Panaramic view of the Caribbean sea it also over looks the Infinity pool east access to restaurant and bar, FYI this building have 3 floors no elevator, I would recommend the hotel, Also for tours, taxi service and excursion ask for Ryan very experience and curtious tour guide!

If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax then this would be an ideal place to stay, however it’s a little further away from the strip where most activities are located so you will definitely need to have transportation. The hotel provides a shuttle to legends beach. Food options are also limited. Overall it’s a good place with a great view and friendly staff.

I needed a restful break from a hectic schedule and found the perfect spot. I put away my phone and sat out on the cliff and gazed out over the sea, watched the sunset and even saw dolphins swimming in front of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and my room was kept clean and had a beautiful sea view. I will be back.

Amazing view. Kind staff. Good food. Firm beds. Nice pool. Comfortable loungers. Beautiful ocean. Good open air massages. This boutique hotel is not for someone looking to be waited on hand and foot. If you want to be left alone to relax and unwind, Samsara is perfect. Staff is there when you need them but you can spend the whole day on the cliffs, sun bathing, diving from the cliffs, swimming, snorkeling and reading and not have to interact with anyone other than your party. It's a mini paradise.

No wine. No bottled water. No tequila drinks. Pretty much Red Stripe and rum is it. Food was buffet only. One morning I went to the bar at 10:03 to get a Diet Coke. Bar tender stated the bar wasn’t open. I asked what time it opened and she said 10. So I stood there and waited about 15 minutes while she placed bottles up on the counter. Finally I walked away without a Diet Coke. There are a lot of stray cats on the property and they are starving!! It’s absolutely heartbreaking.

I liked the cliffs you could jump off of at the resort. However, we would not go back mainly because there were so many people smoking up at the resort (both Samsara and Legends) that it was hard to find a spot where we were not smelling it. This was especially the case at the Legends sister hotel beach spot where people were constantly smoking up and you could not get away from it as the chairs were jam packed together. Legends beach spot also had only a few umbrellas for shade. People staying at Legends got up early to secure a chair with an umbrella so by the time the shuttle from the Samsara Cliff Resort got there, there was no possibility of a chair with any shade. The shuttle only went once in the day leaving Samsara Cliff Resort at 10am and returned from Legends at 4pm. You could get your own cab ride back. We did a glass bottom snorkeling trip with Captain Carl's to the reef near Booby Cay. They left from beside Legend's at 10:30am returning around 1pm. It was well worth it. The fish we saw while snorkeling were fantastic. We did the all inclusive which we didn't know had specific times you could eat- Breakfast 8-10am, Lunch 12-2pm, and dinner was late at 7-10(?)pm. All-inclusive was buffet only. The main course food was generally pretty good but there was only one thing for dessert, mostly vanilla cake, sometimes coconut cake, and only once chocolate cake...so a dessert disaster in my opinion because I like desserts :)
I liked the cliffs you could jump off of at the resort. However, we would not go back mainly because there were so many people smoking up at the resort (both Samsara and Legends) that it was hard to find a spot where we were not smelling it. This was especially the case at the Legends sister hotel beach spot where people were constantly smoking up and you could not get away from it as the chairs were jam packed together. Legends beach spot also had only a few umbrellas for shade. People staying at Legends got up early to secure a chair with an umbrella so by the time the shuttle from the Samsara Cliff Resort got there, there was no possibility of a chair with any shade. All staff were wonderful! Melvin, Collin, Darrin, Tina, Kimi and all the restaurant staff were exceptional. Food was fabulous, grounds impeccable, pools clean! Everything was a 10 out of 10! We will be back!

We had the all inclusive option. What we liked: - Laid back, relaxing vibe. - Cliffs were unique and beautiful. - Not crowded, poolside and cliffside seating was readily available. There was no need to "stake out" your spot first thing in the morning. - Lots of drink variety available in the all-inclusive option. - Food was generally good quality and represented the local culture. What could have been better: - Variety of food was lacking. - Also, the limited hours for getting food definitely made this not feel all-inclusive. Know that a regular resort with an all-inclusive option is not the same as an all-inclusive resort. - Room was clean but bare-bones (and we had a "new" unit.) Only one outlet in the room, plus one in the bath. If you are planning on having electronics to charge, you might want to pack a power strip. - No amenities provided - you need pack your own toiletries, beach towels, Kleenex. - Bathroom was lit by one small overhead bulb. - Housekeeping was spotty - you never knew when the room was being made up, and it would often be done in waves - sheets removed in the morning, bed made in the afternoon, towels later. Just one towel each, and no washcloths (except for 1 day they mysteriously showed up.) A couple days I had to request towels at the desk just so we could get ready for dinner. - Sister property (Legends) was absolutely NOT worth the day trip - small, crowded beach, most of the lounge chars were broken, all umbrellas were taken.

Very Disappointing. Do not take the "pay at the property option, pay for your stay ahead of time on Expedia/Hotels.com. Check in was very frustrating it took almost an hour and our price was increased (our 2 night stay was supposed to $584CAD it ended up being $772CAD). We finally got to our rooms which were very nice. We then went to the restaurant to eat but were told the kitchen was closed so our only option was the buffet which now only had soup, salad & rice left, but we still had to pay full price. There is only 1 restaurant not 2 and it was an inferno. They do not serve food on the deck/patio like the pictures show which was the main reason I booked this hotel. Being my wife's first time in Jamaica we were looking forward to having dinner on the terrace and watching the sunset. The property itself was nice and moderately well maintained, but the over all experience was very disappointing.

Location on the cliffs is amazing. The swimming pools are lovely and with the shuttle to the beach at Legends it gives you the choice of facilities. Food and drink are very good and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Tina & Kimmy! Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. Very good service all round. Would highly recommend staying there and would definitely return.

The staff was wonderful! The building itself was worn down and in desperate need of repair. The older portion of the resort needs serious updating! While there concrete fell from the dining area which could have been fatal had it hit someone, so I pray they start putting money into the property because it could be a beautiful place. The rooms on the older side where I stayed need updating, but keep the covered porches they are a wonderful feature that the newer side doesn't have. Overall my stay was ok, would I stay there again, no not until fully updated.
