This Howard Johnson motel has been totally rehabilitated and renovated by the Wyndham people. It is in pristine condition, Virtually brand new. Decorated in a retro 1950s HoJo’s theme. The room was clean. The bathroom was spotless. The Hotel had a guest laundry. Overall, this was an excellent value. Would stay here again.

Parking is tight for large vehicles and the breakfast area is kind of small for size of hotel. The Roundabout Restaurant is close by and excellent choice for any meal. The hotel is clean and the staff is superb!

We were initially appointed a room in the basement but were moved to the first floor upon request due to a smell of dampness in the basement. The next room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient and the area was small but clean. Parking was convenient.

Staff was wonderful! We found out when checking out we could have gone to the Holiday in and used the pool and get percentage off of food. This should be details shared verbally when checking in. It was provided on a small paper with other info like Wi-Fi details- but verbally would be better.

The room was very clean! Staff couldn't have been nicer! Easy on easy off and a quick drive into town. Possibly even a nice walk however it was chilly when we were there so we decided to drive into town and had a wonderful dinner.

The hotel was very very clean the property was also clean. The rugs in my room and hall were very clean. I did not see a stain in room or hallways. The bed was extremely comfortable. The towels were fresh and soft. The only thing was the breakfast was limited. You could make toast have a muffin yogurt or cereal. There was breakfast sandwiches you could put in microwave. They could have had a little variety of them all that i saw was sausage and egg. The breakfast area and front desk were also very clean. I will recommend it to friends. The people on the front deskwere also fantastic. It is close to highways i never heard any road noise.I stay in hotels about 5 times a year. I think other hotels should take some lessons from them.

I didn’t realize this would be a basement hotel room. It had a musty basement smell. Bath tub was yellow. Window sills and most surfaces were dirty/dusty. Staff were lovely both at front desk and breakfast.

I am writing in reference to our hotel stay from July 13-14. Our room was on the ground level and it was very muggy for the duration of our stay as it was raining out. There was condensation on the walls and furniture. Even the bedspread felt damp and the room had a very unpleasant odor. The water pressure was very low, there were water stains on the ceiling and paint was chipping off the bathroom wall. When we checked in, the front desk did not inform us of how to connect to WiFi, or when and where breakfast was. We were informed in the morning that it was a sold out night and typically the rooms on the ground floor were not reserved. Our stay at the Howard Johnson was extremely disappointing for my children and I. Due to our negative experience, I believe that it is justified in asking for a refund.

Our room was in the basement level. It felt oppressive. The hotel is located in a corner of several highway onramps. It was smoggy-smokey from cars and loud outside. Hard to get into the parking lot with a confusing roundabout (rotary). I've always loved Howard Johnson's but this one didn't do it for me.

I gave it a 3 to balance the previous reviews. We had the impression it was a very nice hotel, but in reality it was a nice enough highway hotel. The staff was good, the hotel condition is good. But the walls are thin, it's right on the highway and the Continental breakfast is very small. Couple of cereal options, bagels and bread for toast.

The front desk associate could not have been more disengaged. He was eating when we arrived. Never apologized or acknowledged is, just kept staring at his computer screen. When he did look up there was no personality. He mumbled facts like he had memorized from a script. The room was clean and spacious. Highway noise was a little loud.

We booked a king room. Just drove 6.5 hours here to be told there is a “ slight inconvenience” and the king size reservation that I made was overbooked, and there were no king-size rooms left. I was offered a queen, with no apology. I inquired on a discount or any kind of compensation, and was told he would leave my name with the manager. Checked into the room, and it is not only a queen room, but also a handicap room.

Stay was disappointing beginning with a call before arriving to say the hotel was overbooked and my King bed reservation had been downgraded to a queen bed with no monetary credit. I was offered 1000 Wyndham points for my reservation and then the desk clerk said I couldn’t have them because I booked through hotels.com. Also our keys didn’t work and had to return to the main desk for fix.

Shower didn't work. Water would only come out of bathtub faucet. Was asked by person at front desk, if I moved the lever around? "Sometimes you have to play with it to find a sweet spot." I took shower using a cup to pour water on me. When I asked if there was anything that they could do with my bill for the hassle she said no. When I asked for the card of the GM she gave t to me and said, "You can go now" like I was dismissed. Just awful. I can almost handle the shower not working, but her attitude was atrocious.

When we arrived to check in there was another customer waiting. After a few minutes we asked if she was being helped. She said worker had been there initially but disappeared. We waited another 10 minutes before a worker walked with a stack of towels behind the front desk. He didn't greet either of us and just started stocking behind the desk. Finally, we asked if he could help us & he said they were shorthanded and needed to finish restocking before he could help us check in. Not the best way to start off. Later, I returned to ask a couple of questions about getting to downtown and the same desk worker just said, "There's several ways to get." That's it, so suggestions or anything. Not at all helpful.

Hotel and room are fantastic. Convenient location right off interstate and price was great compared to nearby hotels. My only complaint was front desk worker. My wife and I were trying to push in 2 bicycles and they don’t have automatic opening doors. We were struggling badly trying to open doors while holding bikes and the clerk sat in lobby 5 feet from us talking to friends and made no attempt to open door or help. It was really kind of annoying. Really poor service or just what I think of as normal human kindness.

Hotel was very convenient off highway and an easy 1.5 mile drive to downtown for food and retail. there didn’t seem to be food options within walking distance, but so many options just downtown. Room and bathroom were very clean. AC worked great. Excellent price considering rates at other hotels in area. Easy check-in, except was given a connecting room when I explicitly asked at reservation AND check-in for a non-connecting room. The area felt safe enough. It more than satisfied our needs as an overnight pit stop on a road trip.

Everything was very good. Clean, quiet, and neat. Free continental breakfast was good. Not a ton of options but enough to get to lunch and they were very attentive to restocking items and cleaning up at breakfast time. Not all places offer a free breakfast so it was a nice offering. Room was super cute. MCM decor. Very clean. The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was very lacking. Hardly anything to choose from. No hot foods. No pancake or waffle options. But if you aren’t interested in a full breakfast spread, the stay is quite comfortable!
