Comfort Inn & Suites Waterloo - Cedar Falls

Parking lot seemed small and was pretty rough. Lots of garbage stacked around the dumpsters. Bathtub drain plug not connected. Outlet pulling out from the wall. Holes in curtains. Water damage on ceiling and somehow inside night stands. Service was acceptable. Location was convenient for our purposes.

Not very clean. Rotten milk for breakfast. Pool had way too much chloren kids broke out bad their skin burned. Water cooler in the pool room was super hot and had mold. And room was not clean.

Back entrance key card reader needs replaced. I had to try it at least 5 times every time I used it.

Elevator not clean, lobby smelled moldy, shower in room plugged up.

End entrance had a bad smell, however our room was good. Lots of noise from surrounding rooms. Breakfast we great.

Hotel needs some updating but it’s in a good location, nice pool, decent breakfast, comfortable bed

Good value hotel. I didn’t give them 5 stars in all categories because the elevator was undergoing renovations and it was not the prettiest sight. But everything was clean and the staff was professional. Target store very close.

Just needed a one night stay. Room was clean, beds comfortable, area is quiet. Small but adequate fitness room with adjacent pool area. Will stay here again when in the area. Reasonable rate.

The gym space is tiny and needs a really, really good cleaning but overall good equipment for the small space!

Very dirty and smells. I had to go buy a plug in air freshener just to sleep. The carpet is gross - make sure you wear slippers.

Do not let the online photos and ratings fool you! This place was outdated and dirty! I booked 2 rooms. One room was for my family and the other was for a family member. I was embarrassed that this is the hotel I booked. Staff was friendly. Our room had a musty smell, water damage on the closet door, and a gross mildew covered bathtub. The hallway carpet was stained. There was a nasty water dispenser in the pool area covered in mildew. I honestly looked my booking up online to see why our experience didn’t match what was portrayed online. It was definitely the camera angles! Book the Hampton Inn across the street. I wish we would have.

Friendly staff. Clean King room and bathroom. Actually the bathroom was very spacious, which we enjoyed. A good variety of breakfast options. Would stay at this Comfort Inns and Suites again!

There was a rotting banana peel in the ice bucket in our room when we arrived. The hall and elevator floors were filthy as was the carpet in our room. My feet were black walking barefoot one time to the bathroom. Only 1 of 3 lamps in room had working bulbs, none available to replace when reported

Breakfast was great and staff were friendly. Room was a little dirty. For example some one spilled a pink drink in the fridge and it wasn’t cleaned up when we checked in. Overall the hotel is dated.

The humidity in the rooms was noticeable. One of the couples in our group had a dehumidifier in their room and emptied it four times during their stay. Another couple had to set the temperature at 59 to help control the humidity. The laminate inside the door was actually slick due to humidity in the room.

A little dated but clean, descent breakfast, good coffee, and location. Comfortable bed, cold fridge, hot shower. And plenty of towels (rare these days).

The location was handy just off highway 20. Close to Panera and Target. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the standard fare. Pool area looked clean, but no hot tub. The disappointment was the facility itself. Like stepping into an OLD dark budget hotel? Small room, with cramped bathroom, water damage and 'grungy' corners, elevator dirty and banged up. Furnace fan loud and started up continuously all night. Sad if this is the #3 best deal in Waterloo per Trip Advisory! Not like other Comfort Inn and Suites...... Stay was OK, but certainly not a treat... WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN....

The food options were good. The usual breakfast menu for a lot of hotels. The bed was a little firm for me, but my husband really liked it.

Cad dealership next door so for first floor residents a bit inconvenient. Ac was loud and kept waking me up every time it turned on

Handicap room didnt have a roll in shower, there was a tub with a bench. We made it work.

The hotel is older, and has been updated but it shows wear. The beds were comfy, the staff super friendly and helpful but it's a weird area and not the nicest setting.

Clean. Comfortable, friendly and courteous staff. However our television did not work and staff was unable to get it working.

Resolved the check in process

I had booked a reservation at this establishment and I am a choice member. I booked at the last minute because the hotel I previously booked at was a run down unsafe hotel so I decided to come stay with comfort suites. I was in town due to my father passing away unexpectedly and I had my 8 yr old daughter with autism and who suffers from seizures with me. I called the hotel and was told by the front desk they were sold out but due to my bad situation they would accommodate me as soon as housekeepers got there they’d clean a room snd provide it to me. I waited in the car from 5:30 am until noon when I decided to go in and ask if the housekeepers had a chance to clean a room I was greeted rudely by the general manager who abruptly told me “check in isn’t until 3pm” I had already been told by the front desk they’d provide me the first room and there were rooms available as the housekeepers were cleaning since 10am and plenty of people were clearing out but this man had made it up in his mind that it was okay for a single mom with a disabled child to sleep in the car in his parking lot in 25 degree weather all because he wanted to set an example of people not checking in until 3pm. I’ve been in hotel management for years myself and now as a nurse I would never treat someone the way this man treated me and my child. I had already traveled all night a 18 hr trip from nc to be told I needed to sleep in a car until 3 pm when I had already been in his parking lot since 5:30 am.

The staff was super helpful, especially with breakfast in the morning!

Never got to stay, even with a glitch or freeze up changed the date didn’t get to stay. Hotel would not accommodate. Even when requesting a change of date. So, didn’t get to stay.

This place was clean and comfortable. The area around the motel was mostly industrial so no grass or trees around. There was nothing wrong but I would not say the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

The work need to be uptdate or painted it lookd sloppy, the breakfast wasnt much of a breakfast. Cleanliness was just okay. It was okay for one night. I would look for options next time.

The building outside looked fine the parking lot was a bit of a mess, the ceiling in our bathroom was awful. Breakfast was not good.
