everything was good with the exception of no elevator bringing hetavy suitcases up stairs was a challenge, perhaps some seniors wouldn't be able to navigate. Breakfast was excellent and lady maintaining the breakfast area was doing a great job.

Staff was great. Facility was above average. Surrounding area left some to be desired.

Pool doesn’t look like it was cleaned, the door to get into the pool didn’t work, we had to use the outside door it get into it, the pool was very small. Our room was ok the walls are very thin!

The inside of the hotel wàs very neat and clean. Put when we pulled into the parking lot we wee very put off, in fact it looked very unsafe.

The staff was friendly. The room was just okay and smelled a little musty. Property needs updating for sure. Didn't feel safe in the parking lot...kinda sketch.

There was no elevator to bring the luggage, we had to keep them in the meeting room. As consequence, we had to sleep without changing our clothes or taking bath. When we switched on the air conditioner, a terribly bad ordour was being emitted and we couldn't use it at all. However, the front desk ladies were helpful to their possible ability.

I loved everything about my stay here except I was traveling with a disabled person and it was extremely difficult getting her wheelchair in and out of your building maybe have handicap buttons installed to open doors or something

Temp in the pool area was to hot for us.

Honestly no complaints other than the pool. My children's eyes burned so badly they could barely let them open after swimming, and all of us had itchy/tingling skin when we were done even after showering. The pool needs some serious attention to be satisfactory for use but the rest of the facility was wonderful and the staff was above amazing!

Would not stay here again. The rooms were disgusting. The sheets didn't look like they were changed - there was food in them. Food was all over the floor like everything was swept under the bed and left instead of vacuumed. There was a purple wrap on the floor as if someone had given blood and just threw it on the floor. One the positive side: the air was cold.

Did not take time for the breakfast. The room was clean and very comfortable. Beds were nice and air conditioning quiet and working. Looked like the room has had recent upgrades, paint, etc. TV was modern too. Overall a great stay and good value for the price.

We stayed here for one night after a long day at the waterpark. We were very impressed with the hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and recently remodeled. Much nicer than the pictures suggest. There were mant options available at breakfast. Our only complaint would be not having coffee creamer options available. This was a great family friendly hotel for a quick stay. We will be back!

This property was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. From the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with a smile and felt welcome. The room itself was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent as well. The only things that need improvement are a missing aerator on the bathroom faucet and the noisy fan in bathroom. There are also plenty of choices of restaurants close by. If we ever pass through Waterloo again, we would definitely stay here.

Was a good budget hotel stay. The rooms and carpets were clean. Breakfast was adequate. Great value for the price.

Your Staff was fantastic and super friendly. Room was very clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had a musty smell, carpet felt humid and needs to be shampooed.

There were ants in my room and the bathroom was dirty. Sink looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all and the corners of the floor was absolutely disgusting. The lady who checked us in was nice, continental breakfast was pretty standard.

Hotel is in desperate need of a total refresh including repairs and upgrades. Everything is very outdated and rooms were not clean. Staff person at the front desk did the best they could under the circumstances but property was way below the standard we expected from Days Inn.

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. Everything thing seemed to be updated and well cared for. Beds were comfortable.

Overall it wasnt a bad stay. Breakfast was mediocre. The one big complaint that I have is about getting locked out of the room and our dogs were stuck in the room. The handle that reads the key stopped working. Even the master key wouldn't work. Luckily we weren't locked out for too long maybe 30 mins. But that also set us behind on our travels.

A nice motel in a good location. I enjoyed the hot breakfast items (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.). I wish the room doors had better sound-proofing. I didn't sleep well because I kept getting awakened by people opening and closing their room doors. I could hear hallway sounds too easily. Also, the TV signal was usually not working. I gave up trying to watch anything. Internet would cut out occasionally as well, but it was pretty consistent.

Very good hotel. A bit older in some regards but clean, comfortable, and maintained so suited our overnight stay very nicely. Good full breakfast with hot options but i wish yogurt hadnt been yhe fake sweetener light kind and wouldve liked flavored creamer, but thats me being picky. My husband loved the cinnamon roll waffle batter option! The gym was good. Small but i had it to myself. Was worried about the very old looking treadmill but it worked like a breeze. The night desk clerk is amazingly friendly and helpful and her bosses should know!

Service was great. Rooms were okay. Clean enough for a night stay. If I were sraying multiple nights I would opt for another hotel. Pretty much your average "pit stop" for the night room. Room was spacious we had two queen beds and a sofa-sleeper. Heater/AC unit was very loud and made some noises.

Was recently remodeled and liked that the bed wasn’t so high that you had to”climb” into it.

Decently clean, seems to have just gone through a slight renovation, stayed in two different rooms and neither tub drained properly

I didn’t like the lady who checked me in. She said the card I charged room was not the one on file and showed her confirmation. She asked me who other guest staying with me was and said I was by myself and she said I booked with two people my bad. The rooms felt

The rooms were just remodeled and beautiful. The manager and front desk clerk Shelby were just awesome. Very accommodating. Would stay here again.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I had a terrible check I. At the motel 6 in Waterloo,iowa and had to abruptly check out and needed a place to stay I called around and orginally was offered a room at comfort suites but was treated so terribly when I got there I decided to leave and go to days inn. Upon checkin I was greeted by the manager Annette who understood I was there for my fathers funeral arrangements and the prior issues I had at the other two hotels and she took me and my daughter and Bestfriend and gave us the best room she had available and truly sympathized with my situation , she was absolutely amazing and a godsend and people like her are truly hard to come by in hotel business, her compassion and willingness to go above and beyond for us was out of this world and she treated us as family and not just another numbered customer she had to deal with. What was a hard trip for me because of my dads passing was made easier because of her and I just want to say thank you for giving me many smiles on days I felt like crying. There was one lady that was rather rude demeanored her name was Teresa and there was an African American guy who was out of this world exceptional and I was told he was new but I couldn’t tell and you guys are lucky to have him ! I will definitely stay at this establishment again and once again I just want to thank Annette for everything she did for me and my daughter during our stay there , she deserves a raise and the recognition. 😘

Great front desk people. So accomodating and kind.

Most to almost all of the employers there were lacking in the customer service department immensely. Damn near all of the employees had mean attitudes towards guests, and you could almost never find whoever was supposed to be working the front desk. There was only one employee there that i would give 5 star rating, that works be the guy who works the 3rd shift night auditor position.

Very easy to get to, in a nice area around other amenities.

It was a great location within walking distance to a lot of places.

My memory of this property is already fading, I checked in after midnight and just took a shower and slept for maybe six hours or so. I missed breakfast. But I remember the desk staff being helpful and friendly, and they were quick to let me know that they could sell me discounted tickets to Lost Island theme park.

Great basic hotel perfect for our time at Lost Island Waterpark and Theme Park, had so many food options some walkable like McDonald's next door! Convenience store across parking loy too, target is across the street perfect for last min. needs when the weather changes on you!

Good value for the price at the end of July 2025. The location was convenient for visiting the city or quickly getting on the highway. Condition of the property was decent, as in nothing was noticeable or jumped out. As for the room condition, it was also good, nothing was damaged, broken, or didn't work.

Fantastic breakfast and good price for a one night stay.

There was a terrible smell, dehumidifiers in hallways, entry door swipe was broken and looked like someone had tried to glue back up but it was hanging. Holes in towels. Eggs and sausage were cold, sausage gravy tasted funny. People working there were nice.

The room we were told had been updated, it did not appear to be updated. The breakfast was ok. The only beverage option was coffee and we dont drink coffee. I wish there was some kind of juice

Our stay in Waterloo was a good experience. We were there to visit family. The hotel is centrally located to shopping and dining. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was tasty.
