Adventure Inn - Glenwood Springs

I consider this a 2 star motel (one step above small family-owned "motor courts"). Did not like the front-desk/check-in "video kiosk". I prefer a face-to-face person who pays local taxes and supports the local economy rather than someone in another country. We stayed at this motel in the past when it was locally owned and the door at the far end of the complex required a key to enter. Now that door is open to the interior of the motel and even though it appears to have video surveillance, it is a security issue. The door also bangs shut if not held from doing so, so don\'t get a room on that end of the motel! The rooms are not carpeted, so the floors are cold to walk on in bare feet. There are no closet areas in the rooms to hang your jackets/shirts/pants. Advertised a hot tub and there was indeed one on the property, but my wife said it smelled like it had mold growing in it, so we considered it unusable. There is a small patch of grass out front for your dog to relieve there self, but the dog-poo bag dispenser was empty both days we stayed there, so the dog area had poo piles. The rooms and common areas are clean. The continental breakfast was above average with hot and cold cereals,fruit, hot chocolate mix, milk, donuts and coffee machine (empty the second morning). Over all, there are better motels in town for a similar price.

This is the cheapest hotel I could find in Glenwood and at that it is way over priced for what it is.It has no laundry facilities the TV didn’t work the first night one of the outer access doors did not lock at all allowing anyone to just walk in. I had to empty the toilet completely to get it to fully flush there were no wallplugs to plug in chargers without unplugging something else . It does allow pets for a fee which is good for pet owners but not good for guests when the pets bark every time you open your door or someone walks by in the hallway I would never go back

There needs to be a massive parking lot cleanup. Pretty bad.

The parking lot behind the hotel where I had to park was full of stuff, including a broken sofa. Also, the TV in my room wasn’t working properly. Breakfast was minimal at best. I won’t stay here again.

Was told there was a hot tub. But tub was not a comercial grade tub and it was set a 90 degrees to save money. Was told we could turn it up. But 5 hours later and still luke warm. Why even advertise as hot tub available when you won't turn up to a usable temperature. Was also told breakfast was available 6am until 9am. Went down for breakfast at 6:30am and stale bagels and fruit loops was all that was available. Once again why advertise as breakfast available. Wasn't even advertised as continental breakfast. Last but not least barking dog next to my room all night. Cant we separate dog owners from guest without dogs.

When you opt for one of the less expensive hotels in an area you can expect to sacrifice some comforts. The staff at the front desk were very kind. The breakfast surprised us by Having more options than we expected. They allow pets( fir a nightly fee)but the rooms are small so tough to kennel a larger dog. Also the available pet areas were minuscule and there really weren’t places to walk the dog nearby. I drove to a hiking area across the river. The grounds around the hotel were also littered with trash and could use some upkeep.

Very old hotel run by friendly staff. Strange wifi connection, need to re-login 4 times a day. Jacuzzi not working in winter time.

In the room our furniture was old and stained. The bed was sunken in and terribly uncomfortable. The property was gross outside. Tons of trash all over. The dumpster area was overflowing with old furniture broken and spread everywhere. I will never stay here again. I’ll stick with our usual motel in Glenwood. Wanted to give them a try but that was a mistake!!!!!

This hotel is not updated or clean at all. The curtains were ripped and had a lot of smudges on them. The bed throw blankets had cigarette burns. Overall it was very noisy and not clean.

Rooms were clean and comfortable

Overall dirty . Carpeting in hallways was filthy. Room floors were filthy. Bathroom dirty. Bedsheets questionable. exterior of building had trash overflowing. Back patio was nasty.

The hotel is absolutely filthy. The toilet leaks water all over the floor, common areas had random dirty socks laying around, etc. probably one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at. We booked two nights and ended up finding another hotel in town for the second night.

Cleaning could be a lot better, we found a lot of trash under our bed and the furniture was very dusty

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned well. There was hair in the shower that I had to clean out and I killed 6 bugs in the bathroom and there was trash on the floor in bathroom from previous guest. The rest of the room was decent.

Very clean room and property. Front desk was very nice on all shifts, great customer service. Comfortable and homey feeling.

Check in, staff and our stay was okay, but the hotel could use some updating BIG TIME. The one electrical outlet near the bed was hanging from the wall so my one plug with one charger wouldnt stay connected, the AC unit blew straight up at the ceiling, as well as being mounted above eye level so it was hard to operate and you couldnt really feel the cool air, (i woke up in the middle of the night sweating and it was only 80), it appeard the showerhead had not been degrimed/descaled/cleaned throughouly for quite some time and had very poor power flow, and the King matress was extremely squaky, bouncy and not that comfortable. But you get what you pay for and this hotel was the cheapest option in Glenwood. The free breakfast of cereal, bread for toast and bagels was a nice touch though!

The side door to the outside closed very loudly and our room was next to it. So sadly, we had a very interrupted night. Otherwise good value for the money.

I wish the window 2nd curtains can be closed. The first curtain is see thru kind. Great room!! Staff are nice and helpful.

If you just want a quick one night stop, and you aren't too picky, then this place will do. The room itself (#112) wasn't bad, but it was old, it could have been cleaner, One light had a short and would flicker, enormous crack under the door allowed in a lot of light and noise, you could not close the drape (not that it didn't work, it could not be done) and thus a lot more light. Breakfast? well they may say they offer it, but you might as well plan to eat somewhere else. Back door would not shut properly, let alone lock for security. If these problems were taken care of then it could be a nice place.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. For us, the beds were too soft. Also, there was no closet or hangers. Otherwise, good value.

Room was quiet - a bit musty smelling; view outside of window was of a retaining wall; hotel is an older one; for the price it is as expected. Continental breakfast was simple, but adequate.

The room was unfortunately noisy. Every time a nearby door opened or closed, it was loud. All night, we could hear doors continually opened & shutting. There was also no closet to hang some items that needed to be hung, then no ironing board to be able to fix this

The property was more rundown than it appears in the pictures. The bedroom also only had sheer and not blackout curtains. Some of the lights didn't work in the room. The beds were adequately comfortable.

We heard a lot of pluming noises during the night. I'm not sure what it was, but we were woken up by the noise. At some point, I thought someone was taking a shower in our bathroom, because the sound was so loud. The place was too expensive for what it offered.

We've stayed here every year for the last 4 years, and this trip will be our last. First check in, no longer is there anyone on site to help with check in, now it's all done on a kiosk, and takes 10 times longer to get your key. Was also over charged on the room, but didn't have anyone to help assist in this. There was a vending machine with a sign that said to talk to the front desk if you need anything, but there's nobody at the front desk. Room was OK, but if you want an outlet to charge your phone plan on unplugging lights to free one up.

No costumer service, litterally a machine checks you in. Ince checked in there were no directions on how to get to our room ir the best place to park for our room. I wouldnt stay there again based on the lack of servise. Hotel was clean, old but clean. Shower had no pressure to it and it was either hot or cold no in-between.

No person working at the front desk. You had to talk to someone on a kiosk. Keys had to be tapped 5-6 times to work. Bad breakfast was over at 9. Terrible. I will never stay here again.

We loved that we can bring our emotional support dogs and felt welcomed. Bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff was so kind and felt safe staying there alone with my kids.

Check in was with someone in India. Their website says checkin 24/7, while this gentleman said we had to wait until 2:00. We finally got it done. No one at the desk for the most part. Sink was stop[ped up, but no one to report this to until the second day.

Adventure Inn was a great place to stay while in Glenwood. The In was clean, conveniently located. The rooms were nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. I consider the accommodations to be a good value. I will stay with them again on my next trip to Glenwood.

The manager was very kind. He found our car keys and brought them to our room. We didn’t even know we had dropped them. What a blessing.

Location is good and hotel seemed clean. The people at the front desk were not helpful, they did not know anything about the area. The breakfast was marginal at the best so I skipped it.

Close to the destination.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. 24 hour free coffee, good complimentary breakfast. The TV was small but we spent most of our time out exploring. It was conveniently located and easy in & out of the parking lot.

Cons: Apon arrival the whole building smelled of patchouli including our room. We had to have our ac on for a bit to get rid of the smell. The hotel room doors closles super loudly, so of you are a light sleeper like myself, it's hard to get to sleep when other people and coming and going. You could here people open and close the ice machine at the end of the hall, and dogs barking ( pet friendly hotel). Didnt really mind the dog as much as it was every once in a while.

pleasantly surprised to find out there's a basic breakfast and a hot tub. Breakfast is not restocked so go early. Breakfast includes juice, coffee, toast cereal,yogurt and a breakfast sandwich. Pillows are horrible. Bring your own.

breakfast is just bagels and dry ass muffins and coffee not worth trying to get to it, the internet sucks bad like ,and if i showered in the morning there wasnt hot water if i showered at night it was fine and i personally don’t like having my window at ground level especially since it didnt lock i had to bring my own bar to keep the window from an easy entry for someone

Definitely a budget motel! Checked in on a kiosk at the front desk. So we never saw any staff. Lobby was clean and had been remodeled at aome point, looked fairly modern.The rooms need to be gutted and updated. They were mostly clean. We had a non smoking room which horribly smelled like smoke. Carpet, furniture, and curtains were old and dirty.The toilet barely had enough pressure to flush down water and toilet paper, good luck when you poop! They advertised a continental breakfast but we couldnt find any food in the lobby area where it was supposed to be. Remember when I said we never saw any staff...couldn't find anyone to ask about breakfast. My husband went through the cabinets under the coffee pot and found one packet of oatmeal and one bottle of water. So don't count on the continental breakfast that you paid for. Bring your own food and use the fridge and microwave in your room or go out to eat.
